From 7c7a532ba3fc51bf9527d191fb410786c1fdc73c Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Christophe Leroy Date: Wed, 14 Aug 2019 12:36:09 +0000 Subject: powerpc/ptdump: Fix addresses display on PPC32 Commit 453d87f6a8ae ("powerpc/mm: Warn if W+X pages found on boot") wrongly changed KERN_VIRT_START from 0 to PAGE_OFFSET, leading to a shift in the displayed addresses. Switching to the generic code enables DMA allocations from atomic context, which is required by the DMA API documentation, and also adds various other minor features drivers start relying upon. It also makes sure we have on tested code base for all architectures that require uncached pte bits for coherent DMA allocations. Another advantage is that consistent memory allocations now share the general vmalloc pool instead of needing an explicit careout from it.
