Clean up the existing export namespace code along the same lines of commit 33def8498fdd ("treewide: Convert macro and uses of __section(foo) to __section("foo")") and for the same reason, it is not desired for the namespace argument to be a macro expansion itself. It only clarifies the Copyright information in ASoC/HDAudio contributions, where an "All rights reserved" notice was mistakenly added in a number of files over the years, likely due to copy/paste. The Intel template never included this statement.

2024-05-05ASoC: SOF: Intel: start splitting top-level from common partsPierre-Louis Bossart1-0/+1
The existing code relies on the 'HDA_COMMON' module and namespace. We need to start splitting top-level parts from the low-level ones, otherwise we will not be able to reuse the low-level parts DMA support for SoundWire/BPT. 2024-03-25ASoC: SOF: Intel: Set the dai/host get frame/byte counter callbacksPeter Ujfalusi1-0/+2
Add implementation for reading the LDP (Linear DMA Position) to be used as get_host_byte_counter(). The LDP is counting the number of bytes moved between the DSP and host memory. Set the get_dai_frame_counter to hda_dsp_get_stream_llp, which is counting the frames on the link side of the DSP. 2024-03-25ASoC: SOF: Intel: hda: Implement get_stream_position (Linear Link Position)Peter Ujfalusi1-0/+2
When the Linear Link Position is not available in firmware SRAM window we use the host accessible position registers to read it. The address of the PPLCLLPL/U registers depend on the number of streams (playback+capture). At probe time the pplc_addr is calculated for each stream and we can use it to read the LLP without the need of address re-calculation. Set the get_stream_position callback in sof_hda_common_ops for all platforms: The callback is used for IPC4 delay calculations only but the register is a generic HDA register, not tied to any specific IPC version. 2023-10-19ASoC: SOF: Intel: Move binding to display driver outside of deferred probeMaarten Lankhorst1-0/+1
Now that we can use -EPROBE_DEFER, it's no longer required to spin off the snd_hdac_i915_init into a workqueue. Use the -EPROBE_DEFER mechanism instead, which must be returned in the probe function. The previously added probe_early can be used for this, and we also use the newly added remove_late for unbinding afterwards. This patch moves the initial parts of the probe to the probe_early() callback, which provides a much faster decision on whether the SOF driver shall deal with a specific platform or yield to other Intel drivers. This is a limited functionality change, the bigger change is to move the i915/Xe initialization to the probe_early(). 2023-04-20ASoC: SOF: Intel: Split the set_power_op for IPC3 and IPC4Ranjani Sridharan1-1/+0
Suspending to S0iX with IPC3 requires the PM_GATE IPC to be sent again to stop the DMA trace. But with IPC4, this is not needed as the trace is stopped with the LARGE_CONFIG_SET IPC. Also, sending the MOD_D0IX IPC to set the D0I3 state again when the DSP is in D0I3 already results in an imbalance in PM runtime states in the firmware. So split the set_power_state ops for IPC3 and IPC4 to avoid sending the MOD_D0IX IPC when the DSP is already in D0I3 with IPC4.
