Add DMI entry for Huawei Matebook D (BOD-WXX9) with HEADPHONE_GPIO
and DMIC quirks.
This device has ES8336 codec with:
- GPIO 16 (headphone-enable) for headphone amplifier control
- GPIO 17 (speakers-enable) for speaker amplifier control
- GPIO 269 for jack detection IRQ
- 2-channel DMIC
Hardware investigation shows that both GPIO 16 and 17 are required
for proper audio routing, as headphones and speakers share the same
physical output (HPOL/HPOR) and are separated only via amplifier
enable signals.
RFC: Seeking advice on GPIO control issue:
GPIO values change in driver (gpiod_get_value() shows logical value
changes) but not physically (debugfs gpio shows no change). The same
gpiod_set_value_cansleep() calls work correctly in probe context with
msleep(), but fail when called from DAPM event callbacks.
Context information from diagnostics:
- in_atomic=0, in_interrupt=0, irqs_disabled=0
- Process context: pipewire
- GPIO 17 (speakers): changes in driver, no physical change
- GPIO 16 (headphone): changes in driver, no physical change
In Windows, audio switching works without visible GPIO changes,
suggesting possible ACPI/firmware involvement.
Any suggestions on how to properly control these GPIOs from DAPM
events would be appreciated.

The headphone GPIO should be set to the inverse of speaker_en.
When speakers are enabled, headphones should be disabled and vice versa.
Currently both GPIOs are set to the same value (speaker_en), causing
audio to play through both speakers and headphones simultaneously
when headphones are plugged in.
Tested on Huawei Matebook (BOD-WXX9) with ES8336 codec.

The pcm->prepare() function may be called multiple times in a row by the
userspace, as mentioned in the documentation. The driver shall take that
into account and prevent redundancy. However, the exact same function is
called during XRUNs and in such case, the particular stream shall be
reset and setup anew.

unepxected results like OOB access.
This patch adds the sanity check and corrects the input mapping to the
certain default value if an invalid value is passed.

Add an optional dependency on SND_SOC_SOF_INTEL_COMMON, to ensure that whenever
the SOF support is in a loadable module, none of the board code can be built-in.
This may be be a little heavy-handed, but I also don't see a reason why one would
want the boards to be built-in but not the SoC, so it shouldn't actually cause
any usability problems.

The procedure handling IPC timeouts and EXCEPTION_CAUGHT notification
shall cancel any D0IX work before proceeding with DSP recovery. If
SET_D0IX called from delayed_work is the failing IPC the procedure will
deadlock. Conditionally skip cancelling the work to fix that.

The Vexia EDU ATLA 10 tablet comes in 2 different versions with
significantly different mainboards. The only outward difference is that
the charging barrel on one is marked 5V and the other is marked 9V.
The 5V version mostly works with the BYTCR defaults, except that it is
missing a CHAN package in its ACPI tables and the default of using
SSP0-AIF2 is wrong, instead SSP0-AIF1 must be used. That and its jack
detect signal is not inverted as it usually is.
Add a DMI quirk for the 5V version to fix sound not working.

While 'stack_dump_size' is a u32 bitfield of 16 bits, u32 has a bigger
upper bound than the type u16 of loop counter 'offset' what in theory
may lead to infinite loop condition.
Found out by Coverity static analyzer.

I've observed KASAN on our setups and while patch itself is correct
regardless. Problem seems to be caused by recent changes to rates, as
this started happening after recent patchsets and doesn't reproduce with

I've tested using Mark tree, where they are both applied and for some
reason snd_pcm_hw_constraint_minmax() started returning positive value,
while previously it returned 0. I'm bit worried if it signals some
potential deeper problem regarding constraints with above changes.

Some old Bay Trail tablets which shipped with Android as factory OS
have the SST/LPE audio engine described by an ACPI device with a
HID (Hardware-ID) of LPE0F28 instead of 80860F28.
Add support for this. Note this uses a new sst_res_info for just
the LPE0F28 case because it has a different layout for the IO-mem ACPI
resources then the 80860F28.
An example of a tablet which needs this is the Vexia EDU ATLA 10 tablet,
which has been distributed to schools in the Spanish Andalucía region.

The Vexia Edu Atla 10 tablet mostly uses the BYTCR tablet defaults,
but as happens on more models it is using IN1 instead of IN3 for
its internal mic and JD_SRC_JD2_IN4N instead of JD_SRC_JD1_IN4P
for jack-detection.
Add a DMI quirk for this to fix the internal-mic and jack-detection.

On some x86 Bay Trail tablets which shipped with Android as factory OS,
the DSDT is so broken that the codec needs to be manually instantatiated
by the special x86-android-tablets.ko "fixup" driver for cases like this.
This means that the codec-dev cannot be retrieved through its ACPI fwnode,
add support to the bytcr_rt5640 machine driver for such manually
instantiated rt5640 i2c_clients.
An example of a tablet which needs this is the Vexia EDU ATLA 10 tablet,
which has been distributed to schools in the Spanish Andalucía region.

There are 2G and 4G RAM versions of the Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 X90F and it
turns out that the 2G version has a DMI product name of
"CHERRYVIEW D1 PLATFORM" where as the 4G version has
"CHERRYVIEW C0 PLATFORM". The sys-vendor + product-version check are
unique enough that the product-name check is not necessary.
Drop the product-name check so that the existing DMI match for the 4G
RAM version also matches the 2G RAM version.

the Intel kbuild bot reports a link failure when IOSF_MBI is built-in
but the Merrifield driver is configured as a module. The
soc-intel-quirks.h is included for Merrifield platforms, but IOSF_MBI
is not selected for that platform.

While stream_tag for CLDMA on SKL-based platforms is always 1, function
hda_cldma_setup() uses AZX_SD_CTL_STRM() macro which does:
stream_tag << 20
what combined with stream_tag type of 'unsigned int' generates a
potential overflow issue. Update the field type to fix that.

skylake-driver carry shortcomings in their SectionGraphs.
Since commit daa480bde6b3 ("ASoC: soc-core: tidyup for
snd_soc_dapm_add_routes()") route checks are no longer permissive. Probe
failures for Intel boards have been partially addressed by commit
a22ae72b86a4 ("ASoC: soc-core: disable route checks for legacy devices")
and its follow up but only skl_nau88l25_ssm4567.c is patched. Fix the
problem for the rest of the boards.

The Asus T100TA quirk has been using an exact match on a product-name of
"T100TA" but there are also T100TAM variants with a slightly higher
clocked CPU and a metal backside which need the same quirk.
Sort the existing T100TA (stereo speakers) below the more specific
T100TAF (mono speaker) quirk and switch from exact matching to
substring matching so that the T100TA quirk will also match on
the T100TAM models.

Some BYTCR x86 tablets with a rt5640 codec have the left and right channels
of their speakers swapped.
Add a new BYT_RT5640_SWAPPED_SPEAKERS quirk for this which sets
cfg-spk:swapped in the components string to let userspace know
about the swapping so that the UCM profile can configure the mixer
to correct this.
Enable this new quirk on the Medion Lifetab S10346 which has its
speakers swapped.

package in its ACPI tables and uses SSP0-AIF1 rather then SSP0-AIF2 which

When the HDMI is not present due to disabled display support
we will use dummy codec and the HDMI routes will refer to non existent
DAPM widgets.
Trim the route list from the HDMI routes to be able to probe the card even
if the HDMI dais are not registered.

The Lenovo Yoga Tab 3 Pro YT3-X90 x86 tablet, which ships with Android with
a custom kernel as factory OS, does not list the used WM5102 codec inside
its DSDT.
Workaround this with a new snd_soc_acpi_intel_baytrail_machines[] entry
which matches on the SST id instead of the codec id like nocodec does,
combined with using a machine_quirk callback which returns NULL on
other machines to skip the new entry on other machines.

if (!SOF_RT711_JDSRC(sof_sdw_quirk)) is tested in rt711_sdca_add_codec_
device_props(), and we don't add software node to the device if jack
source is not set. We need to do the same test in
sof_sdw_rt711_sdca_exit(), and avoid removing software node if jack
source is not set.
