We only saw ESSX8336 so far, but now with reports of 'ESSX8326' we need to expand to a full list. Let's reuse the 'snd_soc_acpi_codecs' structure to store the information. Note that ES8326 will need a dedicated codec driver, but the plan is to use the same machine driver for all Everest Audio devices. 2022-03-09ASoC: Intel: soc-acpi: quirk topology filename dynamicallyPierre-Louis Bossart5-5/+20
Different topology filenames may be required depending on which SSP is used, and whether or not digital mics are present. This patch adds a tplg_quirk_mask and in the case of the SOF driver adds the relevant configurations. This is a short-term solution to the ES8336 support issues. In a long-term solution, we would need an interface where the machine driver or platform driver have the ability to alter the topology hard-coded low-level hardware support, e.g. by substituting an interface for another, or disabling an interface that is not supported on a given skew. 2022-03-02ASoC: soc-acpi: remove sof_fw_filenamePierre-Louis Bossart13-90/+0
We've been using a default firmware name for each PCI/ACPI/OF platform for a while. The machine-specific sof_fw_filename is in practice not different from the default, and newer devices don't set this field, so let's remove the redundant definitions. When OEMs modify the base firmware, they can keep the same firmware name but store the file in a separate directory. The machine driver is a generic machine driver for SOF with nau8825 codec w or w/o speaker additionally. Depending on the SOC HDMI, DMIC, Bluetooth offload support are added dynamically. Only add information related to SOF since the machine driver was only tested with SOF. There are currently 4 i2s machine variants of ADL. This supports the headphone NUA8825(SSP0) alone or with smart or dumb speakers. Board 2,3,4 use SSP2 for Bluetooth offload support except board 1. Add support for two configurations with SoundWire mockup devices that emulate the two CometLake configurations with one and two amps. This patch helps test the SOF firmware on an UpExtreme board without any hardware connected, e.g. by doing a loopback of the playback stream on capture streams. The mapping of the partIDs is as follows: 0xAAAA: generic full-duplex codec (not currently used) 0xAA55: headset codec (mock-up of RT711/RT5682) - full-duplex 0x55AA: amplifier (mock-up of RT1308/RT1316/Maxim 98373) - playback with IV sense feedback 0x5555: mic codec (mock-up of RT715) - capture-only The tables are added in a separate file to allow for mockup codecs to be added on other platforms, but the mapping to specific topologies remains platform-specific.
