2023-08-14ASoC: codecs/wm*: merge DAI call back functions into opsKuninori Morimoto1-6/+6
ALSA SoC merges DAI call backs into .ops. This patch merge these into one. Signed-off-by: Kuninori Morimoto <kuninori.morimoto.gx@renesas.com> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/87jzu59m5f.wl-kuninori.morimoto.gx@renesas.com Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
2023-07-18ASoC: wm2200: Update to use maple tree register cacheMark Brown1-1/+1
The maple tree register cache is based on a much more modern data structure than the rbtree cache and makes optimisation choices which are probably more appropriate for modern systems than those made by the rbtree cache. In v6.5 it has also acquired the ability to generate multi-register writes in sync operations, bringing performance up to parity with the rbtree cache there. Update the wm2200 driver to use the more modern data structure. 2023-05-08ASoC: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe()Uwe Kleine-König1-1/+1
After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. 2022-08-16i2c: Make remove callback return voidUwe Kleine-König1-3/+1
The value returned by an i2c driver's remove function is mostly ignored. (Only an error message is printed if the value is non-zero that the error is ignored.) So change the prototype of the remove function to return no value. This way driver authors are not tempted to assume that passing an error to the upper layer is a good idea. All drivers are adapted accordingly. There is no intended change of behaviour, all callbacks were prepared to return 0 before. 2015-07-17regmap: Use reg_sequence for multi_reg_write / register_patchNariman Poushin1-1/+1
Separate the functionality using sequences of register writes from the functions that take register defaults. This change renames the arguments in order to support the extension of reg_sequence to take an optional delay to be applied after any given register in a sequence is written. This avoids adding an int to all register defaults, which could substantially increase memory usage for regmaps with large default tables. 2015-06-19ASoC: wm_adsp: Move DSP Rate controls into the codecRichard Fitzgerald1-1/+1
The rate controls are codec-specific, it's not possible to generically say what the range or the meaning of each control is (or even if they exist at all) - that depends on the particular codec. This is currently being handled for Arizona codecs by putting an Arizona-specific table of controls inside the wm_adsp driver. This creates a dependency between wm_adsp and arizona.c, and is an awkward solution if the ADSP is used in another family of codecs Fix this by moving the Arizona-specific rate controls into the Arizona codec drivers.
