Make sure to release allocated resources on component probe failure and

This is specifically needed to allow probe deferrals of the sound card
which otherwise fails when reprobing the codec component:

Make sure that the soundwire device used for register accesses has been
enumerated and initialised before trying to read the codec variant

Merge series from Johan Hovold <johan+linaro@kernel.org>:
When investigating a race in the wcd938x driver I noticed that the MBHC
impedance measurements where printed at error loglevel which is clearly
wrong.
Fix that, and clean up the logging somewhat by using dev_printk() and
addressing some style issues.
Included are also two patches that drop the bogus inline keywords from
the functions involved.

The WCD938x comes with three devices on two Linux drivers:
1. RX Soundwire device (wcd938x-sdw.c driver),
2. TX Soundwire device, which is used to access devices via regmap (also
wcd938x-sdw.c driver),
3. platform device (wcd938x.c driver) - glue and component master,
actually having most of the code using TX Soundwire device regmap.
When RX and TX Soundwire devices probe, the component master (platform
device) bind tries to write micbias configuration via TX Soundwire
regmap. This might happen before TX Soundwire enumerates, so the regmap
access fails. On Qualcomm SM8550 board with WCD9385:
qcom-soundwire 6d30000.soundwire-controller: Qualcomm Soundwire controller v2.0.0 Registered
wcd938x_codec audio-codec: bound sdw:0:0217:010d:00:4 (ops wcd938x_sdw_component_ops)
wcd938x_codec audio-codec: bound sdw:0:0217:010d:00:3 (ops wcd938x_sdw_component_ops)
qcom-soundwire 6ad0000.soundwire-controller: swrm_wait_for_wr_fifo_avail err write overflow
Fix the issue by:
1. Moving the regmap creation from platform device to TX Soundwire
device. The regmap settings are moved as-is with one difference:
making the wcd938x_regmap_config const.
2. Using regmap in cache only mode till the actual TX Soundwire device
enumerates and then sync the regmap cache.

The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes
many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by
returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored
and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a
quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this
quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns
void.
Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove
callback to the void returning variant.

There is no reason to set type_base here: the chip doesn't set
num_type_regs and none of the IRQs have type information so it's
not possible for regmap-irq to configure IRQ types.
Type registers are also deprecated in regmap-irq, so any IRQ type
support in the future should be implemented using config registers
instead.

The HDAudio ASoC support relies on the set_tdm_slots() helper to store
the HDaudio stream tag in the tx_mask. This only works because of the
pre-existing order in soc-pcm.c, where the hw_params() is handled for
codec_dais *before* cpu_dais. When the order is reversed, the
stream_tag is used as a mask in the codec fixup functions:
/* fixup params based on TDM slot masks */
if (substream->stream == SNDRV_PCM_STREAM_PLAYBACK &&
codec_dai->tx_mask)
soc_pcm_codec_params_fixup(&codec_params,
codec_dai->tx_mask);
As a result of this confusion, the codec_params_fixup() ends-up
generating bad channel masks, depending on what stream_tag was
allocated.
We could add a flag to state that the tx_mask is really not a mask,
but it would be quite ugly to persist in overloading concepts.
Instead, this patch suggests a more generic get/set 'stream' API based
on the existing model for SoundWire. We can expand the concept to
store 'stream' opaque information that is specific to different DAI
types. In the case of HDAudio DAIs, we only need to store a stream tag
as an unsigned char pointer. The TDM rx_ and tx_masks should really
only be used to store masks.
Rename get_sdw_stream/set_sdw_stream callbacks and helpers as
get_stream/set_stream. No functionality change beyond the rename.

Interrupt Clear registers WCD938X_INTR_CLEAR_0 - WCD938X_INTR_CLEAR_2
are not marked as volatile. This has resulted in a missing interrupt bug
while performing runtime pm. regcache_sync() during runtime pm resume path
will write to Interrupt clear registers with previous values which basically
clears the pending interrupt and actual interrupt handler never sees this
interrupt.
This issue is more visible with headset plug-in plug-out case compared to

port_map field was added prior to adding static port map support in soundwire.
This makes port_map array in struct wcd938x_sdw_priv redundant and unused,
so remove this.

This patch fixes below two uninitialized symbol warnings
warning:
sound/soc/codecs/wcd938x.c:2092 wcd938x_tx_swr_ctrl()
error: uninitialized symbol 'rate'
sound/soc/codecs/wcd938x.c:2189 wcd938x_tx_channel_config()
error: uninitialized symbol 'reg'.
First one my brining in check to already existing if condition and
second one by adding a default switch case to avoid any access to reg.

For some reason we ended up with cyclic dependency between snd_soc_wcd938x
and snd_soc_wcd938x_sdw modules.
Remove this cyclic dependency by handling them in respective modules.
Without this below error is reported during make modules_install
depmod: ERROR: Cycle detected: snd_soc_wcd938x -> snd_soc_wcd938x_sdw -> snd_soc_wcd938x
depmod: ERROR: Found 2 modules in dependency cycles!

snd_soc_dai_driver structure, so make the snd_soc_dai_ops structure
const to allow the compiler to put it in read-only memory.
