2012-06-20ASoC: add i2s dai driver for bf6xx socScott Jiang3-3/+244
This driver enables i2s mode support on blackfin bf6xx platform. We reuse bf5xx-i2s-pcm.c as its i2s pcm driver because it's the same for both bf5xx and bf6xx soc. Signed-off-by: Scott Jiang <scott.jiang.linux@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2012-06-20ASoC: add sport driver for bf6xx socScott Jiang4-3/+513

2012-04-25ASoC: bf5xx-ssm2602: Set DAI formatLars-Peter Clausen1-0/+2
Commit 980b0bc69 ("ASoC: blackfin: Use dai_fmt") converted the blackfin ASoC machine drivers to use the dai_links dai_fmt field to setup their DAI format. For the bf5xx-ssm2602 the commit removed the manual call to snd_soc_dai_set_fmt, but missed to set the dai_links dai_fmt field. 2012-01-07ASoC: check for substream not channels_min in pcm enginesJoachim Eastwood3-9/+6
This is a follow up on 53dea36c70c1857 which fixes the other affected pcm engines. Description from 53dea36c70c1857: Don't rely on the codec's channels_min information to decide wheter or not allocate a substream's DMA buffer. Rather check if the substream itself was allocated previously. Without this patch I was seeing null-pointer dereferenc in atmel-pcm. 2011-11-23ASoC: Constify snd_soc_dai_ops structsLars-Peter Clausen2-2/+2
Commit 1ee46ebd("ASoC: Make the DAI ops constant in the DAI structure") introduced the possibility to have constant DAI ops structures, yet this is barley used in both existing drivers and also new drivers being submitted, although none of them modifies its DAI ops structure. The later is not surprising since existing drivers are often used as templates for new drivers. So this patch just constifies all existing snd_soc_dai_ops structs to eliminate the issue altogether. The patch was generated with the following coccinelle semantic patch: // <smpl> @@ identifier ops; @@ -struct snd_soc_dai_ops ops = +const struct snd_soc_dai_ops ops = { ... }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2011-11-01sound: Add module.h to the previously silent sound usersPaul Gortmaker1-0/+1

2011-06-29ASoC: Fix Blackfin I2S _pointer() implementation return in bounds valuesMark Brown1-2/+11
The Blackfin DMA controller can report one frame beyond the end of the buffer in the wraparound case but ALSA requires that the pointer always be in the buffer. Do the wraparound to handle this. A similar bug is likely to apply to the other Blackfin PCM drivers but the code is less obvious to inspection and I don't have a user to test. 2011-06-07ASoC: core - Optimise and refactor pcm_new() to pass only rtdLiam Girdwood3-6/+12
Currently pcm_new() passes in 3 arguments :- card, pcm and DAI. 2011-03-30ASoC: Blackfin: push down SPORT settings from global variablesBarry Song13-450/+416
Now that we have multi-component support, take the time to unify the SPORT implementations a bit and make the setup dynamic. This kills off the global sport_handle which was shared across all the Blackfin machine drivers. The pin management aspect is off loaded to platform resources, and now multiple SPORTs can be instantiated simultaneously. 2011-03-30ASoC: Blackfin: standardize machine driver namesMike Frysinger9-18/+18
Some machine drivers were using "bf5xx-", others were using "bf5xx_", while others were using "bfin-". Further, some were using the same name in the transport layer which makes it hard to use different codecs at the same time. So standardize all of them to "bfin-" and make sure they are name spaced according to their driver name. 2011-01-25ASoC: Fix codec device id format used by some dai_linksLars-Peter Clausen1-1/+1
The id part of an I2C device name is created with the "%d-%04x" format string. So for example for an I2C device which is connected to the adapter with the id 0 and has its address set to 0x1a the id part of the devices name would be "0-001a". Currently some sound board drivers have the id part the codec_name field of their dai_link structures set as if it had been created by a "%d-0x%x" format string. For example "0-0x1a" instead of "0-001a". As a result there is no match between the codec device and the dai_link and no sound card is instantiated. This patch fixes it.
