2018-03-14ASoC: remove blackfin driversArnd Bergmann1-109/+0
The blackfin architecture is getting removed, so the ASoC drivers are all obsolete as well. Signed-off-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>

2014-10-20ASoC: blackfin: drop owner assignment from platform_driversWolfram Sang1-1/+0
A platform_driver does not need to set an owner, it will be populated by the driver core. Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
2013-05-30ASoC: blackfin: Switch bf5xx-ad1836 from bf5xx-tdm to bf5xx-i2sLars-Peter Clausen1-11/+7
The bf5xx-i2s driver now has support for TDM mode and the bf5xx-tdm driver is going to be removed soon, so switch the driver over to bf5xx-i2s. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2013-05-30ASoC: blackfin: Remove unused bf5xx-{i2s, tdm, ac97}-pcm.hLars-Peter Clausen1-1/+0
The structs defined in these files are completely unused, so remove both the structs and the files. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2012-12-09ASoC: blackfin: remove __dev* attributesBill Pemberton1-3/+3
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. Signed-off-by: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>

2011-12-22ASoC: blackfin: Add .owner to struct snd_soc_cardAxel Lin1-0/+1
Missed .owner of struct snd_soc_card will prevent the module from being removed from underneath its users. Reported-by: Lothar Waßmann <LW@KARO-electronics.de> Signed-off-by: Axel Lin <axel.lin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2011-06-07ASoC: Blackfin: bf5xx-ad1836: Fix codec device nameLars-Peter Clausen1-2/+2
Fix the codec_name field of the dai_link to match the actual device name of the codec. Otherwise the card won't be instantiated. 2011-03-30ASoC: Blackfin: push down SPORT settings from global variablesBarry Song1-20/+20
Now that we have multi-component support, take the time to unify the SPORT implementations a bit and make the setup dynamic. This kills off the global sport_handle which was shared across all the Blackfin machine drivers. The pin management aspect is off loaded to platform resources, and now multiple SPORTs can be instantiated simultaneously. 2011-03-30ASoC: Blackfin: standardize machine driver namesMike Frysinger1-3/+3
Some machine drivers were using "bf5xx-", others were using "bf5xx_", while others were using "bfin-". Further, some were using the same name in the transport layer which makes it hard to use different codecs at the same time. So standardize all of them to "bfin-" and make sure they are name spaced according to their driver name. 2011-03-30ASoC: Blackfin: drop "-codec" from codec namesMike Frysinger1-1/+1
The recent multi-component patch incorrectly added "-codec" suffixes to parts which are not MFD. Drop the suffix from the machine drivers too. Signed-off-by: Mike Frysinger <vapier@gentoo.org> Acked-by: Liam Girdwood <lrg@ti.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2010-11-22ASoC: Do not include soc-dapm.hJarkko Nikula1-1/+0
There is no need to include soc-dapm.h since soc.h includes it. Signed-off-by: Jarkko Nikula <jhnikula@gmail.com> Acked-by: Liam Girdwood <lrg@slimlogic.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@opensource.wolfsonmicro.com>
2010-08-12ASoC: multi-component - ASoC Multi-Component SupportLiam Girdwood1-14/+9
This patch extends the ASoC API to allow sound cards to have more than one CODEC and more than one platform DMA controller. This is achieved by dividing some current ASoC structures that contain both driver data and device data into structures that only either contain device data or driver data. i.e. struct snd_soc_codec ---> struct snd_soc_codec (device data) +-> struct snd_soc_codec_driver (driver data) struct snd_soc_platform ---> struct snd_soc_platform (device data) +-> struct snd_soc_platform_driver (driver data) struct snd_soc_dai ---> struct snd_soc_dai (device data) +-> struct snd_soc_dai_driver (driver data) struct snd_soc_device ---> deleted This now allows ASoC to be more tightly aligned with the Linux driver model and also means that every ASoC codec, platform and (platform) DAI is a kernel device. ASoC component private data is now stored as device private data. The ASoC sound card struct snd_soc_card has also been updated to store lists of it's components rather than a pointer to a codec and platform. The PCM runtime struct soc_pcm_runtime now has pointers to all its components. This patch adds DAPM support for ASoC multi-component and removes struct snd_soc_socdev from DAPM core. All DAPM calls are now made on a card, codec or runtime PCM level basis rather than using snd_soc_socdev. Other notable multi-component changes:- * Stream operations now de-reference less structures. * close_delayed work() now runs on a DAI basis rather than looping all DAIs in a card. * PM suspend()/resume() operations can now handle N CODECs and Platforms per sound card. * Added soc_bind_dai_link() to bind the component devices to the sound card. * Added soc_dai_link_probe() and soc_dai_link_remove() to probe and remove DAI link components. * sysfs entries can now be registered per component per card. * snd_soc_new_pcms() functionailty rolled into dai_link_probe(). * snd_soc_register_codec() now does all the codec list and mutex init. This patch changes the probe() and remove() of the CODEC drivers as follows:- o Make CODEC driver a platform driver o Moved all struct snd_soc_codec list, mutex, etc initialiasation to core. o Removed all static codec pointers (drivers now support > 1 codec dev) o snd_soc_register_pcms() now done by core. o snd_soc_register_dai() folded into snd_soc_register_codec().
