2006-12-12[PATCH] remove config ordering/dependency between ucb1400-ts and sound subsystemNicolas Pitre1-0/+8
Commit 2d4ba4a3b9aef95d328d74a17ae84f8d658059e2 introduced a dependency that was never meant to exist when the ac97_bus.c module was created. Move ac97_bus.c up the directory hierarchy to make sure it is built when selected even if sound is configured out so things work as originally intended. 2006-06-22[ALSA] snd-aoa: add snd-aoaJohannes Berg1-0/+2
This large patch adds all of snd-aoa. Consisting of many modules, it currently replaces snd-powermac for all layout-id based machines and handles many more (for example new powerbooks and powermacs with digital output that previously couldn't be used at all). It also has support for all layout-IDs that Apple has (judging from their Info.plist file) but not all are tested. The driver currently has 2 known regressions over snd-powermac: * it doesn't handle powermac 7,2 and 7,3 * it doesn't have a DRC control on snapper-based machines I will fix those during the 2.6.18 development cycle. 2006-01-03[ALSA] sound: align device drivers menusRandy Dunlap1-8/+0
Modules: Sound Core,Generic drivers AC97 Kconfig entries broke the ALSA device drivers menu, so move them to a location where that won't happen, enabling all device sub-menus to be presented together. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
