2009-02-10pkt_sched: sch_multiq: Change errno on non-multiqueue devices use.Jarek Poplawski1-1/+1
Current "RTNETLINK answers: Invalid argument" warning, while trying to add multiq qdisc to non-multiqueue device, isn't very helpful and some of these devs can be changed btw., so let's use a better errno. 2008-11-20pkt_sched: remove unnecessary xchg() in packet schedulersPatrick McHardy1-7/+9
The use of xchg() hasn't been necessary since 2.2.something when proper locking was added to packet schedulers. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-11-14pkt_sched: Remove qdisc->ops->requeue() etc.Jarek Poplawski1-37/+2
After implementing qdisc->ops->peek() and changing sch_netem into classless qdisc there are no more qdisc->ops->requeue() users. This patch removes this method with its wrappers (qdisc_requeue()), and also unused qdisc->requeue structure. There are a few minor fixes of warnings (htb_enqueue()) and comments btw. The idea to kill ->requeue() and a similar patch were first developed by David S. Miller. Signed-off-by: Jarek Poplawski <jarkao2@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2008-09-21multiq: requeue should rewind the current_bandAlexander Duyck1-0/+5
Currently dequeueing a packet and requeueing the same packet will cause a different packet to be pulled on the next dequeue. This change forces requeue to rewind the current_band. Signed-off-by: Alexander Duyck <alexander.h.duyck@intel.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-09-13multiq: Further multiqueue cleanupAlexander Duyck1-4/+9
This patch resolves a few issues found with multiq including wording suggestions and a problem seen in the allocation of queues. 2008-09-13pkt_sched: Add multiqueue scheduler supportAlexander Duyck1-0/+467
This patch is intended to add a qdisc to support the new tx multiqueue architecture by providing a band for each hardware queue. By doing this it is possible to support a different qdisc per physical hardware queue. This qdisc uses the skb->queue_mapping to select which band to place the traffic onto. It then uses a round robin w/ a check to see if the subqueue is stopped to determine which band to dequeue the packet from.
