2012-04-21net: Convert all sysctl registrations to register_net_sysctlEric W. Biederman1-8/+1
This results in code with less boiler plate that is a bit easier to read. Additionally stops us from using compatibility code in the sysctl core, hastening the day when the compatibility code can be removed. Signed-off-by: Eric W. Biederman <ebiederm@xmission.com> Acked-by: Pavel Emelyanov <xemul@parallels.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-04-21net: Move all of the network sysctls without a namespace into init_net.Eric W. Biederman1-2/+2
This makes it clearer which sysctls are relative to your current network namespace. This makes it a little less error prone by not exposing sysctls for the initial network namespace in other namespaces. This is the same way we handle all of our other network interfaces to userspace and I can't honestly remember why we didn't do this for sysctls right from the start. Signed-off-by: Eric W. 2010-10-21rds: make local functions/variables staticstephen hemminger1-1/+1
The RDS protocol has lots of functions that should be declared static. rds_message_get/add_version_extension is removed since it defined but never used. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@vyatta.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2010-09-09RDS: remove __init and __exit annotationZach Brown1-1/+1
The trivial amount of memory saved isn't worth the cost of dealing with section mismatches. Signed-off-by: Zach Brown <zach.brown@oracle.com>
2010-09-09RDS: Remove unsignaled_bytes sysctlAndy Grover1-13/+0
Removed unsignaled_bytes sysctl and code to signal based on it. I believe unsignaled_wrs is more than sufficient for our purposes. Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com>
2010-09-09RDS: cleanup: remove "== NULL"s and "!= NULL"s in ptr comparisonsAndy Grover1-1/+1
Favor "if (foo)" style over "if (foo != NULL)". Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com>
2009-11-18sysctl: Drop & in front of every proc_handler.Eric W. Biederman1-6/+6
For consistency drop & in front of every proc_handler. Explicity taking the address is unnecessary and it prevents optimizations like stubbing the proc_handlers to NULL. 2009-11-12sysctl net: Remove unused binary sysctl codeEric W. Biederman1-10/+4
Now that sys_sysctl is a compatiblity wrapper around /proc/sys all sysctl strategy routines, and all ctl_name and strategy entries in the sysctl tables are unused, and can be revmoed. In addition neigh_sysctl_register has been modified to no longer take a strategy argument and it's callers have been modified not to pass one. 2009-07-20RDS/IB: Disable flow control in sysctl and explain whyAndy Grover1-1/+11
Backwards compatibility with rds 3.0 causes protocol- based flow control to be disabled as a side-effect. I don't want to pull out FC support from the IB transport but I do want to document and keep the sysctl consistent if possible.
