2009-09-25Phonet: error on broadcast sending (unimplemented)Rémi Denis-Courmont1-0/+6
If we ever implement this, then we can stop returning an error. Signed-off-by: Rémi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-03-10net: convert usage of packet_type to read_mostlyStephen Hemminger1-2/+1
Protocols that use packet_type can be __read_mostly section for better locality. Elminate any unnecessary initializations of NULL. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@vyatta.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-02-01net: replace uses of __constant_{endian}Harvey Harrison1-1/+1
Base versions handle constant folding now. Signed-off-by: Harvey Harrison <harvey.harrison@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2009-01-27Phonet: allow phonet_device_init() to fail, put it to __init sectionremi.denis-courmont@nokia1-3/+6
Signed-off-by: Rémi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

Signed-off-by: Rémi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2008-11-17Phonet: refuse to send bigger than MTU packetsRémi Denis-Courmont1-2/+2
Signed-off-by: Rémi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-10-27Phonet: do not reply to indication reset packetsRemi Denis-Courmont1-1/+4
This fixes a potential error packet loop. Signed-off-by: Remi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-10-17net: Remove CONFIG_KMOD from net/ (towards removing CONFIG_KMOD entirely)Johannes Berg1-2/+1
Some code here depends on CONFIG_KMOD to not try to load protocol modules or similar, replace by CONFIG_MODULES where more than just request_module depends on CONFIG_KMOD and and also use try_then_request_module in ebtables. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes@sipsolutions.net> Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-10-05Phonet: Pipe End Point for Phonet Pipes protocolRémi Denis-Courmont1-0/+3
This protocol provides some connection handling and negotiated congestion control. Nokia cellular modems use it for bulk transfers. It provides packet boundaries (hence SOCK_SEQPACKET). Congestion control is per packet rather per byte, so we do not re-use the generic socket memory accounting. Signed-off-by: Rémi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-10-05Phonet: modules auto-loading supportRémi Denis-Courmont1-3/+9
Signed-off-by: Rémi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-09-23Phonet: emit errors when a packet cannot be delivered locallyRemi Denis-Courmont1-4/+92
When there is no listener socket for a received packet, send an error back to the sender. Signed-off-by: Remi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-09-23Phonet: proc interface for port rangeRemi Denis-Courmont1-0/+3
Phonet endpoints are bound to individual ports. This provides a /proc/sys/net/phonet (or sysctl) interface for selecting the range of automatically allocated ports (much like the ip_local_port_range with IPv4). Signed-off-by: Remi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-09-23Phonet: provide MAC header operationsRemi Denis-Courmont1-0/+29
Signed-off-by: Rémi Denis-Courmont <remi.denis-courmont@nokia.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2008-09-23Phonet: Phonet datagram transport protocolRemi Denis-Courmont1-0/+106

2008-09-23Phonet: PF_PHONET protocol family supportRemi Denis-Courmont1-0/+216
