This patch prevents this new 'global temporary dynamic' address from being
created by the deletion of the related (same subnet prefix) 'mngtmpaddr'
(which is triggered by there already being no temporary addresses).

TCP request sockets are lockless, tcp_rsk(req)->ts_recent
can change while being read by another cpu as syzbot noticed.
This is harmless, but we should annotate the known races.
Note that tcp_check_req() changes req->ts_recent a bit early,
we might change this in the future.

Now in addrconf_mod_rs_timer(), reference idev depends on whether
rs_timer is not pending. Then modify rs_timer timeout.
There is a time gap in [1], during which if the pending rs_timer
becomes not pending. It will miss to hold idev, but the rs_timer
is activated. Thus rs_timer callback function addrconf_rs_timer()
will be executed and put idev later without holding idev. A refcount
underflow issue for idev can be caused by this.

With some IPv6 Ext Hdr (RPL, SRv6, etc.), we can send a packet that
has the link-local address as src and dst IP and will be forwarded to
an external IP in the IPv6 Ext Hdr.
For example, the script below generates a packet whose src IP is the
link-local address and dst is updated to 11::.

For such a packet, we call ip6_route_input() to look up a route for the
next destination in these three functions depending on the header type.

If no route is found, ip6_null_entry is set to skb, and the following
dst_input(skb) calls ip6_pkt_drop().
Finally, in icmp6_dev(), we dereference skb_rt6_info(skb)->rt6i_idev->dev
as the input device is the loopback interface. Then, we have to check if
skb_rt6_info(skb)->rt6i_idev is NULL or not to avoid NULL pointer deref
for ip6_null_entry.

Add custom implementation of getsockopt hook for TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE.
We skip generic hooks for TCP_ZEROCOPY_RECEIVE and have a custom
call in do_tcp_getsockopt using the on-stack data. This removes
3% overhead for locking/unlocking the socket.
Without this patch:

With offloading enabled, esp_xmit() gets invoked very late, from within
validate_xmit_xfrm() which is after validate_xmit_skb() validates and
linearizes the skb if the underlying device does not support fragments.
esp_output_tail() may add a fragment to the skb while adding the auth
tag/ IV. Devices without the proper support will then send skb->data
points to with the correct length so the packet will have garbage at the
end. A pcap sniffer will claim that the proper data has been sent since
it parses the skb properly.
It is not affected with INET_ESP_OFFLOAD disabled.
Linearize the skb after offloading if the sending hardware requires it.
It was tested on v4, v6 has been adopted.

Before Linux v5.8 an AF_INET6 SOCK_DGRAM (udp/udplite) socket
with SOL_UDP, UDP_ENCAP, UDP_ENCAP_ESPINUDP{,_NON_IKE} enabled
would just unconditionally use xfrm4_udp_encap_rcv(), afterwards
such a socket would use the newly added xfrm6_udp_encap_rcv()
which only handles IPv6 packets.

Ping sockets can't send packets when they're bound to a VRF master
device and the output interface is set to a slave device.
For example, when net.ipv4.ping_group_range is properly set, so that
ping6 can use ping sockets, the following kind of commands fails:
$ ip vrf exec red ping6 fe80::854:e7ff:fe88:4bf1%eth1
What happens is that sk->sk_bound_dev_if is set to the VRF master
device, but 'oif' is set to the real output device. Since both are set
but different, ping_v6_sendmsg() sees their value as inconsistent and
fails.
Fix this by allowing 'oif' to be a slave device of ->sk_bound_dev_if.
This fixes the following kselftest failure:

The originator of an SRH places the first hop's IPv6 address in the IPv6
header's IPv6 Destination Address and the second hop's IPv6 address as
the first address in Addresses[1..n].
The CmprI and CmprE fields indicate the number of prefix octets that are
shared with the IPv6 Destination Address. When CmprI or CmprE is not 0,
Addresses[1..n] are compressed as follows:
1..n-1 : (16 - CmprI) bytes
n : (16 - CmprE) bytes
Segments Left indicates the number of route segments remaining. When the
value is not zero, the SRH is forwarded to the next hop. Its address
is extracted from Addresses[n - Segment Left + 1] and swapped with IPv6
Destination Address.
When Segment Left is greater than or equal to 2, the size of SRH is not
changed because Addresses[1..n-1] are decompressed and recompressed with
CmprI.
OTOH, when Segment Left changes from 1 to 0, the new SRH could have a
different size because Addresses[1..n-1] are decompressed with CmprI and
recompressed with CmprE.
Let's say CmprI is 15 and CmprE is 0. When we receive SRH with Segment
Left >= 2, Addresses[1..n-1] have 1 byte for each, and Addresses[n] has
16 bytes. When Segment Left is 1, Addresses[1..n-1] is decompressed to
16 bytes and not recompressed. Finally, the new SRH will need more room
in the header, and the size is (16 - 1) * (n - 1) bytes.
Here the max value of n is 255 as Segment Left is u8, so in the worst case,
we have to allocate 3825 bytes in the skb headroom. However, now we only
allocate a small fixed buffer that is IPV6_RPL_SRH_WORST_SWAP_SIZE (16 + 7
bytes). If the decompressed size overflows the room, skb_push() hits BUG()
below [0].
Instead of allocating the fixed buffer for every packet, let's allocate
enough headroom only when we receive SRH with Segment Left 1.

With a raw socket bound to IPPROTO_RAW (ie with hdrincl enabled), the
protocol field of the flow structure, build by raw_sendmsg() /
rawv6_sendmsg()), is set to IPPROTO_RAW. This breaks the ipsec policy
lookup when some policies are defined with a protocol in the selector.
For ipv6, the sin6_port field from 'struct sockaddr_in6' could be used to
specify the protocol. Just accept all values for IPPROTO_RAW socket.
For ipv4, the sin_port field of 'struct sockaddr_in' could not be used
without breaking backward compatibility (the value of this field was never
checked). Let's add a new kind of control message, so that the userland
could specify which protocol is used.

syzbot reported [0] a null-ptr-deref in sk_get_rmem0() while using
IPPROTO_UDPLITE (0x88):

We had a similar report [1] for probably sk_memory_allocated_add()
in __sk_mem_raise_allocated(), and commit c915fe13cbaa ("udplite: fix
NULL pointer dereference") fixed it by setting .memory_allocated for
udplite_prot and udplitev6_prot.
To fix the variant, we need to set either .sysctl_wmem_offset or
.sysctl_rmem.
Now UDP and UDPLITE share the same value for .memory_allocated, so we
use the same .sysctl_wmem_offset for UDP and UDPLITE.

In commit 20704bd1633d ("erspan: build the header with the right proto
according to erspan_ver"), it gets the proto with t->parms.erspan_ver,
but t->parms.erspan_ver is not used by collect_md branch, and instead

If we set XFRM security policy by calling setsockopt with option
IPV6_XFRM_POLICY, the policy will be stored in 'sock_policy' in 'sock'
struct. However tcp_v6_send_response doesn't look up dst_entry with the
actual socket but looks up with tcp control socket. This may cause a
problem that a RST packet is sent without ESP encryption & peer's TCP
socket can't receive it.
This patch will make the function look up dest_entry with actual socket,
if the socket has XFRM policy(sock_policy), so that the TCP response
packet via this function can be encrypted, & aligned on the encrypted
TCP socket.
Tested: We encountered this problem when a TCP socket which is encrypted
in ESP transport mode encryption, receives challenge ACK at SYN_SENT
state. After receiving challenge ACK, TCP needs to send RST to
establish the socket at next SYN try. But the RST was not encrypted &
peer TCP socket still remains on ESTABLISHED state.
So we verified this with test step as below.
[Test step]
1. Making a TCP state mismatch between client(IDLE) & server(ESTABLISHED).
2. Client tries a new connection on the same TCP ports(src & dst).
3. Server will return challenge ACK instead of SYN,ACK.
4. Client will send RST to server to clear the SOCKET.
5. Client will retransmit SYN to server on the same TCP ports.
[Expected result]
The TCP connection should be established.

When a tunnel device is bound with the underlying device, its
dev->needed_headroom needs to be updated properly. IPv4 tunnels
already do the same in ip_tunnel_bind_dev(). Otherwise we may
not have enough header room for skb, especially after commit
b17f709a2401 ("gue: TX support for using remote checksum offload option").

After commit d38afeec26ed ("tcp/udp: Call inet6_destroy_sock()
in IPv6 sk->sk_destruct()."), we call inet6_destroy_sock() in
sk->sk_destruct() by setting inet6_sock_destruct() to it to make
sure we do not leak inet6-specific resources.
DCCP sets its own sk->sk_destruct() in the dccp_init_sock(), and
DCCPv6 socket shares it by calling the same init function via
dccp_v6_init_sock().
To call inet6_sock_destruct() from DCCPv6 sk->sk_destruct(), we
export it and set dccp_v6_sk_destruct() in the init function.

sk->sk_destruct() by setting inet6_sock_destruct() to it to make
sure we do not leak inet6-specific resources.
Now we can remove unnecessary inet6_destroy_sock() calls in
sk->sk_prot->destroy().
DCCP and SCTP have their own sk->sk_destruct() function, so we
change them separately in the following patches.

Originally, inet6_sk(sk)->XXX were changed under lock_sock(), so we were
able to clean them up by calling inet6_destroy_sock() during the IPv6 ->
IPv4 conversion by IPV6_ADDRFORM. However, commit 03485f2adcde ("udpv6:
Add lockless sendmsg() support") added a lockless memory allocation path,
which could cause a memory leak:

For now, rxpmtu is only the case, but not to miss the future change
and a similar bug fixed in commit e27326009a3d ("net: ping6: Fix
memleak in ipv6_renew_options()."), let's set a new function to IPv6
sk->sk_destruct() and call inet6_cleanup_sock() there. Since the
conversion does not change sk->sk_destruct(), we can guarantee that
we can clean up IPv6 resources finally.
We can now remove all inet6_destroy_sock() calls from IPv6 protocol
specific ->destroy() functions, but such changes are invasive to
backport. So they can be posted as a follow-up later for net-next.

Commit 4b340ae20d0e ("IPv6: Complete IPV6_DONTFRAG support") forgot
to add a change to free inet6_sk(sk)->rxpmtu while converting an IPv6
socket into IPv4 with IPV6_ADDRFORM. After conversion, sk_prot is
changed to udp_prot and ->destroy() never cleans it up, resulting in
a memory leak.
This is due to the discrepancy between inet6_destroy_sock() and
IPV6_ADDRFORM, so let's call inet6_destroy_sock() from IPV6_ADDRFORM
to remove the difference.
However, this is not enough for now because rxpmtu can be changed
without lock_sock() after commit 03485f2adcde ("udpv6: Add lockless
sendmsg() support"). We will fix this case in the following patch.
Note we will rename inet6_destroy_sock() to inet6_cleanup_sock() and
remove unnecessary inet6_destroy_sock() calls in sk_prot->destroy()
in the future.

This patch fixes a missing 8 byte for the header size calculation. The
ipv6_rpl_srh_size() is used to check a skb_pull() on skb->data which
points to skb_transport_header(). Currently we only check on the
calculated addresses fields using CmprI and CmprE fields, see:
https://www.rfc-editor.org/rfc/rfc6554#section-3
there is however a missing 8 byte inside the calculation which stands
for the fields before the addresses field. Those 8 bytes are represented
by sizeof(struct ipv6_rpl_sr_hdr) expression.

A fix would be to modify the address in-place, instead
of using a local variable, but this could have other side effects.
Instead, restore initial values before we return from udpv6_sendmsg().

It is because icmp6hdr does not in skb linear region under the scenario
of SOCK_RAW socket. Access icmp6_hdr(skb)->icmp6_type directly will

IP tunnels can apparently update dev->needed_headroom
in their xmit path.
This patch takes care of three tunnels xmit, and also the
core LL_RESERVED_SPACE() and LL_RESERVED_SPACE_EXTRA()
helpers.
More changes might be needed for completeness.

The xtables packet traverser performs an unconditional local_bh_disable(),
but the nf_tables evaluation loop does not.
Functions that are called from either xtables or nftables must assume
that they can be called in process context.
inet_twsk_deschedule_put() assumes that no softirq interrupt can occur.
If tproxy is used from nf_tables its possible that we'll deadlock
trying to aquire a lock already held in process context.
Add a small helper that takes care of this and use it.

In function rt6_nlmsg_size(), the length of nexthop is calculated
by multipling the nexthop length of fib6_info and the number of
siblings. However if the fib6_info has no lwtunnel but the siblings
have lwtunnels, the nexthop length is less than it should be, and
it will trigger a warning in inet6_rt_notify() as follows:

We are not allowed to return an error at this point.
Looking at the code it looks like ret is always 0 at this
point, but its not.
t = find_table_lock(net, repl->name, &ret, &ebt_mutex);
... this can return a valid table, with ret != 0.
This bug causes update of table->private with the new
blob, but then frees the blob right away in the caller.

Take into account the IPV6_TCLASS socket option (DSCP) in
tcp_v6_connect(). Otherwise fib6_rule_match() can't properly
match the DSCP value, resulting in invalid route lookup.
For example:

ip route add table 100 2001:db8::10/124 dev eth0
ip -6 rule add dsfield 0x04 table 100
echo test | socat - TCP6:[2001:db8::11]:54321,ipv6-tclass=0x04
Without this patch, socat fails at connect() time ("No route to host")
because the fib-rule doesn't jump to table 100 and the lookup ends up
being done in the main table.

Eric Dumazet pointed out [0] that when we call skb_set_owner_r()
for ipv6_pinfo.pktoptions, sk_rmem_schedule() has not been called,
resulting in a negative sk_forward_alloc.
We add a new helper which clones a skb and sets its owner only
when sk_rmem_schedule() succeeds.
Note that we move skb_set_owner_r() forward in (dccp|tcp)_v6_do_rcv()
because tcp_send_synack() can make sk_forward_alloc negative before
ipv6_opt_accepted() in the crossed SYN-ACK or self-connect() cases.

No need to restrict these anymore, as the worker threads are direct
clones of the original task. Hence we know for a fact that we can
support anything that the regular task can.
Since the only user of proto_ops->flags was to flag PROTO_CMSG_DATA_ONLY,
kill the member and the flag definition too.

When connect() is called on a socket bound to the wildcard address,
we change the socket's saddr to a local address. If the socket
fails to connect() to the destination, we have to reset the saddr.
However, when an error occurs after inet_hash6?_connect() in
(dccp|tcp)_v[46]_conect(), we forget to reset saddr and leave
the socket bound to the address.
From the user's point of view, whether saddr is reset or not varies
with errno. Let's fix this inconsistent behaviour.
Note that after this patch, the repro [0] will trigger the WARN_ON()
in inet_csk_get_port() again, but this patch is not buggy and rather
fixes a bug papering over the bhash2's bug for which we need another
fix.
For the record, the repro causes -EADDRNOTAVAIL in inet_hash6_connect()
by this sequence:

When IPv6 module initializing in xfrm6_init(), register_pernet_subsys()
is possible to fail but its return value is ignored.
If IPv6 initialization fails later and xfrm6_fini() is called,

When using GSO it can happen that the wrong seq_hi is used for the last
packets before the wrap around. This can lead to double usage of a
sequence number. To avoid this, we should serialize this last GSO
packet.

Commit e21145a9871a ("ipv4: namespacify ip_early_demux sysctl knob") made
it possible to enable/disable early_demux on a per-netns basis. Then, we
introduced two knobs, tcp_early_demux and udp_early_demux, to switch it for
TCP/UDP in commit dddb64bcb346 ("net: Add sysctl to toggle early demux for
tcp and udp"). However, the .proc_handler() was wrong and actually
disabled us from changing the behaviour in each netns.
We can execute early_demux if net.ipv4.ip_early_demux is on and each proto
.early_demux() handler is not NULL. When we toggle (tcp|udp)_early_demux,
the change itself is saved in each netns variable, but the .early_demux()
handler is a global variable, so the handler is switched based on the
init_net's sysctl variable. Thus, netns (tcp|udp)_early_demux knobs have
nothing to do with the logic. Whether we CAN execute proto .early_demux()
is always decided by init_net's sysctl knob, and whether we DO it or not is
by each netns ip_early_demux knob.
This patch namespacifies (tcp|udp)_early_demux again. For now, the users
of the .early_demux() handler are TCP and UDP only, and they are called
directly to avoid retpoline. So, we can remove the .early_demux() handler
from inet6?_protos and need not dereference them in ip6?_rcv_finish_core().
If another proto needs .early_demux(), we can restore it at that time.

syzbot reported a memory leak [0] related to IPV6_ADDRFORM.
The scenario is that while one thread is converting an IPv6 socket into
IPv4 with IPV6_ADDRFORM, another thread calls do_ipv6_setsockopt() and
allocates memory to inet6_sk(sk)->XXX after conversion.
Then, the converted sk with (tcp|udp)_prot never frees the IPv6 resources,
which inet6_destroy_sock() should have cleaned up.

During the initialization of ip6_route_net_init_late(), if file
ipv6_route or rt6_stats fails to be created, the initialization is
successful by default. Therefore, the ipv6_route or rt6_stats file

Another syzbot report [1] with no reproducer hints
at a bug in ip6_gre tunnel (dev:ip6gretap0)
Since ipv6 mcast code makes sure to read dev->mtu once
and applies a sanity check on it (see commit b9b312a7a451
"ipv6: mcast: better catch silly mtu values"), a remaining
possibility is that a layer is able to set dev->mtu to
an underflowed value (high order bit set).
This could happen indeed in ip6gre_tnl_link_config_route(),
ip6_tnl_link_config() and ipip6_tunnel_bind_dev()
Make sure to sanitize mtu value in a local variable before
it is written once on dev->mtu, as lockless readers could
catch wrong temporary value.

When we call connect() for a UDP socket in a reuseport group, we have
to update sk->sk_reuseport_cb->has_conns to 1. Otherwise, the kernel
could select a unconnected socket wrongly for packets sent to the
connected socket.
However, the current way to set has_conns is illegal and possible to
trigger that problem. reuseport_has_conns() changes has_conns under
rcu_read_lock(), which upgrades the RCU reader to the updater. Then,
it must do the update under the updater's lock, reuseport_lock, but
it doesn't for now.
For this reason, there is a race below where we fail to set has_conns
resulting in the wrong socket selection. To avoid the race, let's split
the reader and updater with proper locking.

Note the likely(reuse) in reuseport_has_conns_set() is always true,
but we put the test there for ease of review. [0]
For the record, usually, sk_reuseport_cb is changed under lock_sock().
The only exception is reuseport_grow() & TCP reqsk migration case.
1) shutdown() TCP listener, which is moved into the latter part of
reuse->socks[] to migrate reqsk.
2) New listen() overflows reuse->socks[] and call reuseport_grow().
3) reuse->max_socks overflows u16 with the new listener.
4) reuseport_grow() pops the old shutdown()ed listener from the array
and update its sk->sk_reuseport_cb as NULL without lock_sock().
shutdown()ed TCP sk->sk_reuseport_cb can be changed without lock_sock(),
but, reuseport_has_conns_set() is called only for UDP under lock_sock(),
so likely(reuse) never be false in reuseport_has_conns_set().

syzbot reported various issues around early demux,
one being included in this changelog [1]
sk->sk_rx_dst is using RCU protection without clearly
documenting it.
And following sequences in tcp_v4_do_rcv()/tcp_v6_do_rcv()
are not following standard RCU rules.
[a] dst_release(dst);
[b] sk->sk_rx_dst = NULL;
They look wrong because a delete operation of RCU protected
pointer is supposed to clear the pointer before
the call_rcu()/synchronize_rcu() guarding actual memory freeing.
In some cases indeed, dst could be freed before [b] is done.
We could cheat by clearing sk_rx_dst before calling
dst_release(), but this seems the right time to stick
to standard RCU annotations and debugging facilities.

The SRv6 layer allows defining HMAC data that can later be used to sign IPv6
Segment Routing Headers. This configuration is realised via netlink through
four attributes: SEG6_ATTR_HMACKEYID, SEG6_ATTR_SECRET, SEG6_ATTR_SECRETLEN and
SEG6_ATTR_ALGID. Because the SECRETLEN attribute is decoupled from the actual
length of the SECRET attribute, it is possible to provide invalid combinations
(e.g., secret = "", secretlen = 64). This case is not checked in the code and
with an appropriately crafted netlink message, an out-of-bounds read of up
to 64 bytes (max secret length) can occur past the skb end pointer and into
skb_shared_info:

The OOB data can then be read back from userspace by dumping HMAC state. This
commit fixes this by ensuring SECRETLEN cannot exceed the actual length of
SECRET.
