commit e751256486d0ded20f5a9f9863467f1dce65142f upstream.
Commit 0ab03f353d36 ("net-gro: Fix GRO flush when receiving a GSO
packet.") added a flush check to skb_gro_receive(), but
skb_gro_receive_list() lacks the same validation.
As a result, packets marked with NAPI_GRO_CB(skb)->flush may still be
re-aggregated.
This allows already-GRO'd packets with existing frag_list to be
re-aggregated into a new GRO session, corrupting the frag_list chain
structure. When skb_segment() attempts to unpack these malformed packets,
it encounters invalid state and triggers a kernel panic.
Scenario (Tethering/Device forwarding):
1. Driver: Generated aggregated packet P1 via LRO with frag_list
2. Dev A: Receives aggregated fraglist packet and flush flag set
3. Dev A: Re-enters GRO, skb_gro_receive_list() is called
4. Missing flush check allows re-aggregation despite flush flag
5. Frag_list chain becomes corrupted (loops or dangling refs)
6. Dev B: TX path calls skb_segment(), crashes on corrupted frag_list
Root cause in skb_segment():
The check at line ~4891:
if (hsize <= 0 && i >= nfrags && skb_headlen(list_skb) &&
(skb_headlen(list_skb) == len || sg)) {
When frag_list is corrupted by double aggregation, when list_skb is
a NULL pointer from skb->next, skb_headlen(list_skb) dereference
NULL/corrupted pointers occurs.

[ Upstream commit fd098a23bf8fda7eae48db9b06e7c34fc4d228fa ]
In net_dm_packet_trace_kfree_skb_hit() and net_dm_hw_trap_packet_probe(),
u64_stats_update_begin() / u64_stats_inc() / u64_stats_update_end() were
called after spin_unlock_irqrestore(&...drop_queue.lock, flags), when local
IRQs had already been re-enabled.
Tracepoint probes can execute in IRQ or softirq context. On 32-bit
architectures, u64_stats_update_begin() disables preemption but not interrupts,
relying on seqcount writes. If a nested interrupt occurs on the same CPU during
the 64-bit stats update, the reentrant seqcount update can corrupt the
seqcount state or stats value.
Fix this by performing the 64-bit per-CPU stats update before releasing
drop_queue.lock via spin_unlock_irqrestore(), ensuring local interrupts remain
disabled during the u64_stats update.

net_dm_packet_report_fill() and net_dm_hw_packet_report_fill() use
nla_put_u64_64bit() to append 64-bit attributes (NET_DM_ATTR_PC and
NET_DM_ATTR_TIMESTAMP).
On 32-bit architectures without CONFIG_HAVE_EFFICIENT_UNALIGNED_ACCESS,
nla_put_u64_64bit() may append a 4-byte NET_DM_ATTR_PAD attribute for
64-bit alignment.
However, net_dm_packet_report_size() and net_dm_hw_packet_report_size()
used nla_total_size(sizeof(u64)) instead of nla_total_size_64bit(sizeof(u64)),
budgeting 12 bytes instead of up to 16 bytes.
This under-estimation of SKB size can lead to an skb_over_panic() when
__nla_reserve() or skb_put() is subsequently called.
Fix this by using nla_total_size_64bit(sizeof(u64)) in both size calculations.

net_dm_packet_report_fill() and net_dm_hw_packet_report_fill() open code
the NET_DM_ATTR_PAYLOAD attribute to avoid zeroing the packet payload
before overwriting it with skb_copy_bits().
skb_put() reserves nla_total_size(payload_len), i.e. the header plus the
NLA_ALIGN() padding, but only payload_len bytes are copied in. When
payload_len is not a multiple of 4 the 1-3 padding bytes are never
initialized and are leaked to user space inside the netlink message.

[ Upstream commit 3f4920d165b29052255527d8ae7619e7ec132ece ]
The bpf_redirect*() helpers and skb_do_redirect() obtain the per-task
bpf_redirect_info via bpf_net_ctx_get_ri(), which dereferences the
current->bpf_net_context unconditionally. That context is established
on the paths that run tc BPF such as sch_handle_{ingress,egress}(),
*except* for the case where {cls,act}_bpf was attached to a proper
qdisc. A program running from there reaches the NULL deref in two ways:
* It calls bpf_redirect() directly, which dereferences the context at
the top of the helper:
tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: red limit 1MB min 10KB max 20KB \
avpkt 1000 burst 100 qevent early_drop block 10
tc filter add block 10 pref 1 bpf obj redirect.o
* It simply returns TC_ACT_REDIRECT without helper call: tcf_qevent_handle()
then dispatches to skb_do_redirect(), which dereferences the context
Rather than extending bpf_net_context management into the qdisc path,
make the redirect helpers refuse to operate when no context exists, and
have tcf_qevent_handle() drop a TC_ACT_REDIRECT verdict instead of
calling skb_do_redirect(). Previous behaviour was a crash, so nothing
regresses by not supporting it.

[ Upstream commit 66efd3368ae10d05e08fbe6425b50fdec7186ac7 ]
UDP sockets get SOCK_RCU_FREE set when (auto-)bound. This means
sk_is_refcounted(unbound) = true, while sk_is_refcounted(bound) = false.
Because sockmap accepts unbound UDP sockets, a BPF program can increment a
socket's refcount via lookup. If the socket is subsequently bound, the
transition from unbound to bound causes bpf_sk_release() to skip the
decrement of the refcount, causing a memory leak.

[ Upstream commit 7cbd0c4cebe4c9f678d15e6b9ba975e1155a107f ]
Similar to recent commit 9b51a6155d14 ("bpf,fork: wipe ->bpf_storage
before bailouts that access it"), sk_clone() performs an initial
shallow copy of the socket field ->sk_bpf_storage via sock_copy()
for the cloned socket newsk.
If sk_clone() bails out early (e.g. if sk_filter_charge() fails) prior
to calling bpf_sk_storage_clone(), newsk->sk_bpf_storage still points
to the parent socket's BPF local storage. When newsk is subsequently
freed via sk_free(), the deallocation path (__sk_destruct() ->
bpf_sk_storage_free()) destroys the parent socket's BPF local storage,
leading to a use-after-free (UAF) on the parent socket.
Fix this by resetting newsk->sk_bpf_storage to NULL immediately after
sock_copy() in sk_clone(), and remove the now redundant initialization
from bpf_sk_storage_clone().

validate_xmit_xfrm() returns NULL both when a packet is dropped and
when it is stolen by async crypto (-EINPROGRESS from ->xmit()).
Callers cannot distinguish the two cases.
f53c723902d1 ("net: Add asynchronous callbacks for xfrm on layer 2.")
changed the semantics of a NULL return from "dropped" to "stolen or
dropped", but __dev_queue_xmit() was not updated. On virtual/bridge
interfaces (noqueue qdisc) __dev_queue_xmit() initialises rc=-ENOMEM
and jumps to out: when skb is NULL, returning -ENOMEM to the caller
even though the packet will be delivered correctly via xfrm_dev_resume().
Return ERR_PTR(-EINPROGRESS) from validate_xmit_xfrm() for the async
case so callers can tell it apart from a real drop. Update
__dev_queue_xmit() to handle ERR_PTR(-EINPROGRESS) from
validate_xmit_skb() correctly. Update validate_xmit_skb_list() to
use IS_ERR_OR_NULL() so that ERR_PTR(-EINPROGRESS) is not mistakenly
added to the transmitted list.

commit 1f24c0d01db214c9e661915e9972404c96ca73c0 upstream.
netdev_nl_napi_fill_one() reports the NAPI kthread PID in NETDEV_A_NAPI_PID
using task_pid_nr(), which returns the PID in the initial pid namespace.
NETDEV_CMD_NAPI_GET does not have GENL_ADMIN_PERM and the netdev genl family
is netnsok, so a caller in a child pid namespace can issue it. That caller
then sees the kthread's global PID, even though the kthread is not visible
in its pid namespace, where the value should be 0.
Translate the PID through the caller's pid namespace, the same way commit
3799c2570982 ("io_uring/fdinfo: translate SqThread PID through caller's
pid_ns") did for the io_uring SQPOLL thread. The doit and dumpit paths both
run synchronously in the caller's context, so task_active_pid_ns(current) is
the caller's pid namespace.

[ Upstream commit c00320b0e355c4bf0ae4743a53b4180fea237546 ]
skb metadata is meant for passing information between XDP and TC. It lives
in the skb headroom, immediately before skb->data. LWT programs cannot
access the __sk_buff->data_meta pseudo-pointer to metadata.
However, LWT encapsulation prepends outer headers, moving skb->data back
over the headroom where the metadata sits. On an RX-originated (forwarded)
packet that still carries XDP metadata this goes wrong in two different
ways, depending on the encap type:
1. Non-BPF LWT encaps (mpls, seg6, ioam6 ...) call skb_push()/skb_pull()
and silently overwrite the metadata that sits in the headroom.
2) BPF LWT xmit calls bpf_skb_change_head(), which uses skb_data_move().
That helper expects metadata immediately before skb->data. But since
the IP output path runs LWT xmit before neighbour output has built
the outgoing L2 header, for forwarded packets skb->data points at the
L3 header while skb_mac_header() still points at the old L2 header.
skb_data_move() sees metadata ending at skb_mac_header(), not before
skb->data, warns and clears metadata:

That is what happens, as for how to fix it - a received packet that
carries metadata can reach an encap through any of the three LWT
redirect modes:

lwtunnel_xmit
Every encap funnels through the three LWT dispatch helpers, so drop the
metadata there, right before handing the skb to the encap op. This
single chokepoint covers all encap types and all three redirect modes:
- lwtunnel_input(): seg6, rpl, ila, seg6_local
- lwtunnel_output(): ioam6
- lwtunnel_xmit(): mpls, LWT BPF xmit
Alternatively, we could clear the metadata right after TC ingress hook.
That would require a compromise, however. Metadata would become
inaccessible from TC egress (in setups where it actually reaches the
hook it tact, that is without any L2 tunnels on path).

-> l3mdev_fib_rule_match() uses fl->flowi_l3mdev
l3mdev_update_flow() resolves the l3mdev master from the ingress device
only while the field is still zero. Left at a nonzero stack value the
resolution is skipped, and l3mdev_fib_rule_match() then tests that value
as an ifindex, so the VRF master is not resolved and the rule fails to
match: an ingress enslaved to a VRF can fail to select its table. FIB
rules matching on an L3 master device (l3mdev_fib_rule_iif_match()/
_oif_match()) read the same value, so an "ip rule iif/oif <vrf>"
mismatches the same way.
Zero-initialize the whole flow struct rather than adding one more
field assignment, so any flowi field added later is covered too.
ip_route_input_slow() likewise zeroes the field before its input lookup.
CONFIG_INIT_STACK_ALL_ZERO masks this by default, but it depends on
compiler support (CC_HAS_AUTO_VAR_INIT_ZERO), so INIT_STACK_NONE builds,
including older toolchains that fall back to it, are exposed. Built with
INIT_STACK_ALL_PATTERN, a plain bpf_fib_lookup (no VLAN, no DIRECT) over a
VRF slave whose destination is routed only in the VRF table returns
BPF_FIB_LKUP_RET_NOT_FWDED, and resolves with this patch. On the default
config the lookup succeeds either way, so ordinary testing does not catch
the bug.

[ Upstream commit bf6e8af2c8be77489bedeae9f8a9654cb710e500 ]
__skb_flow_dissect() unconditionally reads 12 bytes from eth_hdr(skb)
when FLOW_DISSECTOR_KEY_ETH_ADDRS is requested. This assumes the skb
has a valid Ethernet header at mac_header, which is not always the case.
The problem can be triggered by:
1. Creating a TUN device in L3 mode (IFF_TUN, hard_header_len=0)
2. Attaching a multiq qdisc with a flower filter matching on eth_src
3. Sending a packet through AF_PACKET
Since TUN in L3 mode has no link-layer header, mac_header points to
the L3 data area. The flow dissector reads 12 bytes of uninitialized
skb memory, which then propagates through fl_set_masked_key() and is
used as a rhashtable lookup key in __fl_lookup(), as reported by KMSAN.
Rejecting the filter in the control path (at tc filter add time) is
not feasible because TC filter blocks can be shared between arbitrary
devices -- a filter installed on an Ethernet device may later classify
packets on a headerless device through a shared block. The device
association is not fixed at filter creation time.
Fix this by gating the memcpy on dev->type == ARPHRD_ETHER, which
ensures only true Ethernet-framed packets have their addresses read.
This is more precise than the previous hard_header_len >= 12 check,
which would incorrectly pass for non-Ethernet link types like IPoIB
(ARPHRD_INFINIBAND, hard_header_len=24) and FDDI (hard_header_len=21)
whose L2 headers are not in Ethernet format. Additionally check
skb_mac_header_was_set() to guard against the pathological case where
mac_header is the unset sentinel (~0U), which would cause eth_hdr() to
return a wild pointer.
For the act_mirred redirect case (Ethernet packet redirected to a
non-Ethernet device sharing a TC block), zeroing the key is the correct
behavior: the packet is now being classified on the target device, where
Ethernet address matching is not semantically meaningful.
Note: on non-Ethernet devices, the zeroed key will match a filter
configured with all-zero MAC addresses. This is an improvement over the
previous behavior where uninitialized memory could randomly match any
filter.

[ Upstream commit 46762cefe7f4e5bffc1eb467810a7bbb02e461d7 ]
Syzbot reported a KASAN slab-use-after-free in fib_rules_lookup().
The root cause is a race condition where packets can escape the backlog
flushing during device unregistration (e.g., during netns exit).
Commit e9e4dd3267d0 ("net: do not process device backlog during unregistration")
introduced a lockless netif_running() check in enqueue_to_backlog() to
prevent queuing packets to an unregistering device.
However, this creates a TOCTOU race window.
A lockless transmitter (like veth_xmit) can pass
the check before dev_close() clears IFF_UP. If the transmitter is then
delayed, flush_all_backlogs() can run and finish before the transmitter
grabs the backlog lock and queues the packet. The packet then escapes
the flush and triggers UAF later when processed.
Fix this by moving the netif_running() check inside the backlog lock.
This serializes the check with the flush work (which also grabs the lock).
We then either queue the packet before the flush runs (so it gets flushed),
or check netif_running() after the flush/close completes (so it gets dropped).

This patch has three coordinated parts:
1) Add dev->watchdog_lock and dev->watchdog_ref_held to serialize watchdog operations.
2) Remove netdev_watchdog_up() call from netif_carrier_on():
This ensures netdev_watchdog_up() is only called from process/BH context
(via linkwatch workqueue dev_activate()), allowing us to use
spin_lock_bh() for synchronization.
3) Synchronize watchdog up and watchdog timer:
Protect netdev_watchdog_up() with tx_global_lock and watchdog_lock.
Only allocate a new tracker in netdev_watchdog_up() if one is
not already present.
In dev_watchdog(), ensure we don't release the tracker if the
timer was rescheduled either by dev_watchdog() itself or concurrently
by netdev_watchdog_up().

netif_rxq_cleanup_unlease() tears down the memory provider that was
installed on a physical RX queue through a netkit queue lease. It
currently revokes the provider's DMA mappings before stopping the
physical queue:
__netif_mp_uninstall_rxq(virt_rxq, p); /* DMA unmap */
__netif_mp_close_rxq(phys_rxq->dev, rxq_idx, p); /* queue stop */
This inverts the ordering used by the regular teardown paths (normal
device unregister and the io_uring zcrx close path), which stop the
queue before revoking the provider's mappings.
With the physical queue still live, its NAPI can keep consuming
net_iov entries from the page_pool alloc cache after the
__netif_mp_uninstall_rxq() has already cleared their dma_addr,
opening a window for the device to DMA to a stale or zero address.
Fix it by swapping the two calls so the queue is stopped (and its
NAPI quiesced) before the provider is uninstalled. No functional
regression was observed across repeated runs of the nk_qlease.py
HW selftest, which exercises the lease teardown path; this was
tested against fbnic QEMU emulation.

Tl;DR: queue_process() is not an RCU reader, it reaches npinfo through
the work item via container_of().
Use disable_delayed_work_sync() to ensure the worker is completely
stopped and prevent any future re-arming attempts. Once npinfo is set
to NULL, senders will bail out and not queue new work. The disable flag
ensures any in-flight re-arming attempts also fail silently.
In the future, we can do the cleanup inline here without needing the
npinfo->rcu rcu_head, but that is net-next material.

commit 8165f7ff57d9667d2bb477ef6af83ede7fed4ad7 upstream.
A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and
the tunnel link netns t->net. They differ once the device is created in
or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl
changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a
caller privileged there but not in t->net can rewrite a tunnel that
lives in t->net.
Add rtnl_dev_link_net_capable() next to rtnl_get_net_ns_capable() in
net/core/rtnetlink.c. It requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the link netns and is
skipped when the link netns is dev_net(dev), where the rtnl path already
checked it. The other patches in this series use the same helper.
Gate ipgre_changelink() and erspan_changelink() with it, at the top of
the op before any attribute is parsed, because the parsers update live
tunnel fields first. ipgre_netlink_parms() sets t->collect_md before
ip_tunnel_changelink() runs.
Commit 8b484efd5cb4 ("ip6: vti: Use ip6_tnl.net in

pages that are not private to the sk_msg, such as splice-backed file
page-cache pages.
Several sk_msg transform paths move, copy, split, or compact
msg->sg.data[] entries without moving the matching sg.copy bit. This can
make an externally backed entry arrive at a new slot with a clear copy
bit. A later SK_MSG verdict can then expose sg_virt(sge) as writable
ctx->data and BPF stores can modify the original page cache.
Keep sg.copy synchronized with sg.data[] whenever entries are
transferred, shifted, split, or copied into a new sk_msg. Clear the bit
when an entry is replaced by a newly allocated private page or freed.
This covers the BPF pull/push/pop helpers, sk_msg_shift_left/right(),
sk_msg_xfer(), and tls_split_open_record(), including the partial tail
entry created during TLS open-record splitting.

skb_is_err_queue() treats PACKET_OUTGOING as the sole marker for an skb
from sk_error_queue. That assumption is not true for AF_PACKET sockets:
outgoing packet taps are also delivered to packet sockets with
skb->pkt_type == PACKET_OUTGOING, but their skb->cb is owned by AF_PACKET
instead of struct sock_exterr_skb.
If such an skb is received with timestamping enabled, the generic
timestamp cmsg path can read AF_PACKET control-buffer state as
sock_exterr_skb::opt_stats. With SO_RXQ_OVFL enabled, the packet drop
counter overlaps opt_stats. An odd drop count makes the path emit
SCM_TIMESTAMPING_OPT_STATS with skb->len and skb->data. For non-linear
skbs this copies past the linear head and can trigger hardened usercopy or
disclose adjacent heap contents.
Keep skb_is_err_queue() local to net/socket.c, but make it verify that
the PACKET_OUTGOING marker is paired with the sock_rmem_free destructor
installed by sock_queue_err_skb(). AF_PACKET receive skbs use normal
receive ownership and no longer pass as error-queue skbs, while legitimate
sk_error_queue entries keep the PACKET_OUTGOING marker and sock_rmem_free
ownership.

Sashiko flags that genlmsg_reply() always consumes the skb.
The error path calls nlmsg_free(rsp) so we can't jump directly
to it. Let's not unbind, just propagate the error to the user.
This is the typical way of handling genlmsg_reply() failures.

skb_gro_receive_list() calls skb_pull(skb, skb_gro_offset(skb)) without
first ensuring the data is in the linear area via pskb_may_pull(). When
the skb arrives via napi_gro_frags(), skb_headlen can be 0 (all data in
page fragments) while skb_gro_offset is non-zero (after IP+TCP header
parsing). The skb_pull() then decrements skb->len by skb_gro_offset
but skb->data_len stays unchanged, hitting BUG_ON(skb->len < skb->data_len)
in __skb_pull().
The UDP fraglist GRO path already contains this guard at
udp_offload.c:749. Adding it to skb_gro_receive_list() itself provides
centralized protection for all callers (TCP, UDP, and any future
protocols), and ensures the precondition of skb_pull() is satisfied
before it is called.
On pskb_may_pull() failure, set NAPI_GRO_CB(skb)->flush = 1 so the
skb is not held as a new GRO head and is instead delivered through the
normal receive path, matching the UDP handling.

When SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS is set, frag pages are not refcounted but
their lifetime is controlled by the attached ubuf_info. To make a copy
of the skb_shared_info, we either should clear the flag and reference
the frags, or keep the flag and have frags unreferenced.
pskb_carve_inside_header() and pskb_carve_inside_nonlinear() don't
follow the rule and thus can leak page references. Let's clear
SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS from the original skb to fix it. It's the
simplest way to address it, but there are more performant ways to do
that if it ever becomes a problem.

When bpf_msg_push_data() inserts data in the middle of a scatterlist
entry, it splits the original entry into a left fragment and a right
fragment.
The right fragment offset is page-local, but the code advances it with
`start`, which is the message-global insertion point. For inserts into a
non-first SG entry, this over-advances the offset and leaves the split
layout inconsistent.
Advance the right fragment offset by the fragment-local delta,
`start - offset`, which matches the length removed from the front of the
original entry.

pskb_carve_inside_header() and pskb_carve_inside_nonlinear() both copy
the old skb_shared_info header into a new buffer via memcpy(), which
includes the destructor_arg pointer (uarg) for MSG_ZEROCOPY skbs.
Neither function calls net_zcopy_get() for the new shinfo, creating an
unaccounted holder: every skb_shared_info with destructor_arg set will
call skb_zcopy_clear() once when freed, but the corresponding
net_zcopy_get() was never called for the new copy. Repeated calls
drive uarg->refcnt to zero prematurely, freeing ubuf_info_msgzc while
TX skbs still hold live destructor_arg pointers.
KASAN reports use-after-free on a freed ubuf_info_msgzc:

The skb consuming the late access still referenced the same uarg via
shinfo->destructor_arg copied by pskb_carve_inside_nonlinear() without
a refcount bump. This has been verified to be reliably exploitable: a
working proof-of-concept achieves full root privilege escalation from
an unprivileged local user on a default kernel configuration.
The fix follows the pattern of pskb_expand_head() which has the same
memcpy/cloned structure. For pskb_carve_inside_header(), net_zcopy_get()
is placed after skb_orphan_frags() succeeds, so the orphan error path
needs no cleanup. For pskb_carve_inside_nonlinear(), net_zcopy_get() is
placed after all failure points and just before skb_release_data(), so
no error path needs cleanup at all -- matching pskb_expand_head() more
closely and avoiding the need for a balancing net_zcopy_put().

pskb_trim_rcsum_slow() keeps CHECKSUM_COMPLETE valid by subtracting
the checksum of the bytes removed from the skb tail. That assumes the
removed bytes can be read.
io_uring zcrx skbs may contain unreadable net_iov frags. With fbnic
header/data split, small TCP/IPv4 packets can carry Ethernet padding
in such a frag. ip_rcv_core() trims the skb to iph->tot_len before TCP
sees it, and the CHECKSUM_COMPLETE adjustment then calls
skb_checksum() on the padding.
This is exposed by IPv4 because small TCP/IPv4 frames can be shorter
than the Ethernet minimum payload. TCP/IPv6 frames are large enough in
the normal zcrx path, so they do not hit the same padding trim.
Keep the existing checksum adjustment for readable skbs. If the
remaining packet is fully linear, drop CHECKSUM_COMPLETE and let the
stack validate the packet after trimming. If unreadable payload would
remain, fail the trim; the checksum cannot be adjusted without reading
the trimmed tail.
Also clear skb->unreadable when trimming removes all frags.

skb_gro_receive() can currently copy frags between the source and GRO

When SKBFL_MANAGED_FRAG_REFS is set, the skb doesn't hold a reference

__netpoll_send_skb() always transmits through np->dev and queues busy
packets on np->dev->npinfo->txq, but it leaves skb->dev unchanged.
Stacked callers such as DSA and macvlan can reach netpoll with skb->dev
still naming the upper device while np->dev is the lower device that
owns the netpoll state.
If the skb has to be deferred, queue_process() later dequeues it from
the lower device's txq but retries it through skb->dev. That can
re-enter the upper ndo_start_xmit path on an already transformed skb,
and if the upper device disappears before the lower txq drains the
workqueue can dereference a stale skb->dev pointer.
The buggy scenario involves two paths, with each column showing the
order within that path:
path A label: netpoll enqueue path path B label: upper-device teardown
1. Stacked xmit calls netpoll 1. Teardown unregisters the upper
with lower np->dev and upper net_device while lower npinfo
skb->dev. stays alive.
2. __netpoll_send_skb() uses 2. netdev_release() runs for the
np->dev->npinfo as the txq upper net_device.
owner.
3. Busy transmit queues the skb 3. The lower txq still owns the

skb->dev.
4. queue_process() drains the 4. queue_process() dereferences
lower txq and reads skb->dev. that stale upper skb->dev.
Normalize skb->dev to np->dev after loading np->dev from the netpoll
instance, before either the direct transmit path or the fallback enqueue.
This keeps the queued skb in the same device and txq domain as the
netpoll state that owns it.

Two frag-transfer helpers (__pskb_copy_fclone() and skb_shift()) fail
to propagate the SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG bit in skb_shinfo()->flags when
moving frags from source to destination. __pskb_copy_fclone() defers
the rest of the shinfo metadata to skb_copy_header() after copying
frag descriptors, but that helper only carries over gso_{size,segs,
type} and never touches skb_shinfo()->flags; skb_shift() moves frag
descriptors directly and leaves flags untouched. As a result, the
destination skb keeps a reference to the same externally-owned or
page-cache-backed pages while reporting skb_has_shared_frag() as
false.
The mismatch is harmful in any in-place writer that uses
skb_has_shared_frag() to decide whether shared pages must be detoured
through skb_cow_data(). ESP input is one such writer (esp4.c,
esp6.c), and a single nft 'dup to <local>' rule -- or any other
nf_dup_ipv4() / xt_TEE caller -- is enough to land a pskb_copy()'d
skb in esp_input() with the marker stripped, letting an unprivileged
user write into the page cache of a root-owned read-only file via
authencesn-ESN stray writes.
Set SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG on the destination whenever frag descriptors
were actually moved from the source. skb_copy() and skb_copy_expand()
share skb_copy_header() too but linearize all paged data into freshly
allocated head storage and emerge with nr_frags == 0, so
skb_has_shared_frag() returns false on its own; they need no change.
The same omission exists in skb_gro_receive() and skb_gro_receive_list().
The former moves the incoming skb's frag descriptors into the
accumulator's last sub-skb via two paths (a direct frag-move loop and
the head_frag + memcpy path); the latter chains the incoming skb whole
onto p's frag_list. Downstream skb_segment() reads only
skb_shinfo(p)->flags, and skb_segment_list() reuses each sub-skb's
shinfo as the nskb -- both p and lp must carry the marker.
The same omission also exists in tcp_clone_payload(), which builds an
MTU probe skb by moving frag descriptors from skbs on sk_write_queue
into a freshly allocated nskb. The helper falls into the same family
and warrants the same fix for consistency; no TCP TX-side in-place
writer is currently known to reach a user page through this gap, but
a future consumer depending on the marker would regress silently.
The same omission exists in skb_segment(): the per-iteration flag
merge takes only head_skb's flag, and the inner switch that rebinds
frag_skb to list_skb on head_skb-frags exhaustion does not fold the
new frag_skb's flag into nskb. Fold frag_skb's flag at both sites
so segments drawing frags from frag_list members carry the marker.

net_devmem_bind_dmabuf() trusts dmabuf->size and sg_dma_len() to be
PAGE_SIZE multiples without checking:
- tx_vec is sized dmabuf->size / PAGE_SIZE, and
net_devmem_get_niov_at() only bounds-checks virt_addr < dmabuf->size
before indexing tx_vec[virt_addr / PAGE_SIZE]. With size =
N*PAGE_SIZE + r (1 <= r < PAGE_SIZE), sendmsg() at iov_base =
N*PAGE_SIZE passes the bound check and reads tx_vec[N] -- one past.
- owner->area.num_niovs = len / PAGE_SIZE while gen_pool_add_owner()
covers the full byte len, so a non-page-multiple non-final sg
desyncs num_niovs from the gen_pool region for every later sg, on
both RX and TX.
dma-buf does not require page-aligned sizes, so the bind path has to
enforce what its own indexing assumes. Reject both with -EINVAL.
The size check is TX-only (only tx_vec is sized off dmabuf->size); the
SG-length check covers both directions.

sk_psock_strp_data_ready() already checks tls_sw_has_ctx_rx() and
defers to psock->saved_data_ready when a TLS RX context is present,
avoiding a conflict with the TLS strparser's ownership of the receive
queue (commit e91de6afa81c, "bpf: Fix running sk_skb program types
with ktls").
sk_psock_verdict_data_ready() has no equivalent guard. When a socket
is inserted into a sockmap (BPF_SK_SKB_VERDICT) before TLS RX is
configured, tls_sw_strparser_arm() saves sk_psock_verdict_data_ready
as rx_ctx->saved_data_ready. On data arrival:
tls_data_ready -> tls_strp_data_ready -> tls_rx_msg_ready
-> saved_data_ready() = sk_psock_verdict_data_ready()
-> tcp_read_skb() drains sk_receive_queue via __skb_unlink()
without calling tcp_eat_skb(), so copied_seq is not advanced.
tls_strp_msg_load() then finds tcp_inq() >= full_len (stale), calls
tcp_recv_skb() on the now-empty queue, hits WARN_ON_ONCE(!first), and
returns with rx_ctx->strp.anchor.frag_list pointing at a psock-owned
(potentially freed) skb. tls_decrypt_sg() subsequently walks that
frag_list: use-after-free.
Apply the same fix as sk_psock_strp_data_ready(): if a TLS RX context
is present, call psock->saved_data_ready (sock_def_readable) to wake
recv() waiters and return immediately, leaving the receive queue
untouched. TLS retains sole ownership of the queue and decrypts the
record normally through tls_sw_recvmsg().

skb_try_coalesce() can attach paged frags from @from to @to. If @from
has SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG set, the resulting @to skb can contain the same
externally-owned or page-cache-backed frags, but the shared-frag marker
is currently lost.
That breaks the invariant relied on by later in-place writers. In
particular, ESP input checks skb_has_shared_frag() before deciding
whether an uncloned nonlinear skb can skip skb_cow_data(). If TCP
receive coalescing has moved shared frags into an unmarked skb, ESP can
see skb_has_shared_frag() as false and decrypt in place over page-cache
backed frags.
Propagate SKBFL_SHARED_FRAG when skb_try_coalesce() transfers paged
frags. The tailroom copy path does not need the marker because it copies
bytes into @to's linear data rather than transferring frag descriptors.

When in irq deferral mode (defer-hard-irqs > 0), a short enough
gro-flush timeout can trigger before NAPI_STATE_SCHED is cleared if the
last poll in busy_poll_stop() takes too long. This can have the effect
of leaving the queue stuck with interrupts disabled and no timer armed
which results in a tx timeout if there is no subsequent busypoll cycle.
To prevent this, defer the gro-flush timer arm after the last poll.

Eulgyu Kim reported the splat below with a repro. [0]
The repro sets up a UDP reuseport group with a cBPF prog and
replaces it with a new one while another thread is sending
a UDP packet to the group.
The reuseport prog is freed by sk_reuseport_prog_free().
bpf_prog_put() is called for "e"BPF prog to destruct through
multiple stages while cBPF prog is freed immediately by
bpf_release_orig_filter() and bpf_prog_free().
If a reuseport prog is detached from the setsockopt() path
(reuseport_attach_prog() or reuseport_detach_prog()),
sk_reuseport_prog_free() is called without waiting for RCU
readers to complete, resulting in various bugs.
Let's defer freeing the reuseport cBPF prog after one RCU
grace period.
Note "e"BPF prog is safe as is unless the fast path starts
to touch fields destroyed in bpf_prog_put_deferred() and
__bpf_prog_put_noref().
