In systems where neigh gc thresh holds are set to high values,
admin deleted neigh entries (eg ip neigh flush or ip neigh del) can
linger around in NUD_FAILED state for a long time until periodic gc kicks
in. This patch forces neigh_invalidate when NUD_FAILED neigh_update is
from an admin.

Improve the performance of GRO receive by splitting flows into

Manage pending per-NAPI GRO packets via list_head.
Return an SKB pointer from the GRO receive handlers. When GRO receive
handlers return non-NULL, it means that this SKB needs to be completed
at this time and removed from the NAPI queue.
Several operations are greatly simplified by this transformation,
especially timing out the oldest SKB in the list when gro_count
exceeds MAX_GRO_SKBS, and napi_gro_flush() which walks the queue
in reverse order.

This "feature" is unused, undocumented, and untested and so doesn't
really belong. A patch is under development to properly implement
support for detecting when a search gets diverted down a different
chain, which the common purpose of nulls markers.
This patch actually fixes a bug too. The table resizing allows a
table to grow to 2^31 buckets, but the hash is truncated to 27 bits -
any growth beyond 2^27 is wasteful an ineffective.
This patch results in NULLS_MARKER(0) being used for all chains,
and leaves the use of rht_is_a_null() to test for it.

pull-request: bpf 2018-06-16
The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net* tree.
The main changes are:
1) Fix a panic in devmap handling in generic XDP where return type
of __devmap_lookup_elem() got changed recently but generic XDP
code missed the related update, from Toshiaki.
2) Fix a freeze when BPF progs are loaded that include BPF to BPF
calls when JIT is enabled where we would later bail out via error
path w/o dropping kallsyms, and another one to silence syzkaller
splats from locking prog read-only, from Daniel.
3) Fix a bug in test_offloads.py BPF selftest which must not assume
that the underlying system have no BPF progs loaded prior to test,
and one in bpftool to fix accuracy of program load time, from Jakub.
4) Fix a bug in bpftool's probe for availability of the bpf(2)
BPF_TASK_FD_QUERY subcommand, from Yonghong.
5) Fix a regression in AF_XDP's XDP_SKB receive path where queue
id check got erroneously removed, from Björn.
6) Fix missing state cleanup in BPF's xfrm tunnel test, from William.
7) Check tunnel type more accurately in BPF's tunnel collect metadata
kselftest, from Jian.
8) Fix missing Kconfig fragments for BPF kselftests, from Anders.

Commit 67f29e07e131 ("bpf: devmap introduce dev_map_enqueue") changed
the return value type of __devmap_lookup_elem() from struct net_device *
to struct bpf_dtab_netdev * but forgot to modify generic XDP code
accordingly.
Thus generic XDP incorrectly used struct bpf_dtab_netdev where struct
net_device is expected, then skb->dev was set to invalid value.
v2:
- Fix compiler warning without CONFIG_BPF_SYSCALL.

Commit 9ce33e46531d ("neighbour: support for NTF_EXT_LEARNED flag")
added support for NTF_EXT_LEARNED for neighbour entries.
NTF_EXT_LEARNED entries are neigh entries managed by control
plane (eg: Ethernet VPN implementation in FRR routing suite).
Periodic gc already excludes these entries. This patch extends
it to forced gc which the earlier patch missed.

The vzalloc_node() function has no 2-factor argument form, so
multiplication factors need to be wrapped in array_size(). This patch
replaces cases of:
vzalloc_node(a * b, node)
with:
vzalloc_node(array_size(a, b), node)
as well as handling cases of:
vzalloc_node(a * b * c, node)
with:
vzalloc_node(array3_size(a, b, c), node)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
vzalloc_node(4 * 1024, node)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.
The Coccinelle script used for this was:

The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This
patch replaces cases of:
kzalloc(a * b, gfp)
with:
kcalloc(a * b, gfp)

This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:

The kmalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kmalloc_array(). This
patch replaces cases of:
kmalloc(a * b, gfp)
with:
kmalloc_array(a * b, gfp)
as well as handling cases of:
kmalloc(a * b * c, gfp)
with:
kmalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp)
as it's slightly less ugly than:
kmalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp)
This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like:
kmalloc(4 * 1024, gfp)
though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion.
Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were
dropped, since they're redundant.
The tools/ directory was manually excluded, since it has its own
implementation of kmalloc().
The Coccinelle script used for this was:
// Fix redundant parens around sizeof().

Pull audit updates from Paul Moore:
"Another reasonable chunk of audit changes for v4.18, thirteen patches
in total.
The thirteen patches can mostly be broken down into one of four
categories: general bug fixes, accessor functions for audit state
stored in the task_struct, negative filter matches on executable
names, and extending the (relatively) new seccomp logging knobs to the
audit subsystem.
The main driver for the accessor functions from Richard are the
changes we're working on to associate audit events with containers,
but I think they have some standalone value too so I figured it would
be good to get them in now.
The seccomp/audit patches from Tyler apply the seccomp logging
improvements from a few releases ago to audit's seccomp logging;
starting with this patchset the changes in
/proc/sys/kernel/seccomp/actions_logged should apply to both the
standard kernel logging and audit.
As usual, everything passes the audit-testsuite and it happens to
merge cleanly with your tree"

It seems that rtnl_group_changelink() can call do_setlink
while a prior call to validate_linkmsg(dev = NULL, ...) could
not validate IFLA_ADDRESS / IFLA_BROADCAST
Make sure do_setlink() calls validate_linkmsg() instead
of letting its callers having this responsibility.
With help from Dmitry Vyukov, thanks a lot !

Daniel Borkmann says:
====================
pull-request: bpf-next 2018-06-05
The following pull-request contains BPF updates for your *net-next* tree.
The main changes are:
1) Add a new BPF hook for sendmsg similar to existing hooks for bind and
connect: "This allows to override source IP (including the case when it's
set via cmsg(3)) and destination IP:port for unconnected UDP (slow path).
TCP and connected UDP (fast path) are not affected. This makes UDP support
complete, that is, connected UDP is handled by connect hooks, unconnected
by sendmsg ones.", from Andrey.
2) Rework of the AF_XDP API to allow extending it in future for type writer
model if necessary. In this mode a memory window is passed to hardware
and multiple frames might be filled into that window instead of just one
that is the case in the current fixed frame-size model. With the new
changes made this can be supported without having to add a new descriptor
format. Also, core bits for the zero-copy support for AF_XDP have been
merged as agreed upon, where i40e bits will be routed via Jeff later on.
Various improvements to documentation and sample programs included as
well, all from Björn and Magnus.
3) Given BPF's flexibility, a new program type has been added to implement
infrared decoders. Quote: "The kernel IR decoders support the most
widely used IR protocols, but there are many protocols which are not
supported. [...] There is a 'long tail' of unsupported IR protocols,
for which lircd is need to decode the IR. IR encoding is done in such
a way that some simple circuit can decode it; therefore, BPF is ideal.
[...] user-space can define a decoder in BPF, attach it to the rc
device through the lirc chardev.", from Sean.
4) Several improvements and fixes to BPF core, among others, dumping map
and prog IDs into fdinfo which is a straight forward way to correlate
BPF objects used by applications, removing an indirect call and therefore
retpoline in all map lookup/update/delete calls by invoking the callback
directly for 64 bit archs, adding a new bpf_skb_cgroup_id() BPF helper
for tc BPF programs to have an efficient way of looking up cgroup v2 id
for policy or other use cases. Fixes to make sure we zero tunnel/xfrm
state that hasn't been filled, to allow context access wrt pt_regs in
32 bit archs for tracing, and last but not least various test cases
for fixes that landed in bpf earlier, from Daniel.
5) Get rid of the ndo_xdp_flush API and extend the ndo_xdp_xmit with
a XDP_XMIT_FLUSH flag instead which allows to avoid one indirect
call as flushing is now merged directly into ndo_xdp_xmit(), from Jesper.
6) Add a new bpf_get_current_cgroup_id() helper that can be used in
tracing to retrieve the cgroup id from the current process in order
to allow for e.g. aggregation of container-level events, from Yonghong.
7) Two follow-up fixes for BTF to reject invalid input values and
related to that also two test cases for BPF kselftests, from Martin.
8) Various API improvements to the bpf_fib_lookup() helper, that is,
dropping MPLS bits which are not fully hashed out yet, rejecting
invalid helper flags, returning error for unsupported address
families as well as renaming flowlabel to flowinfo, from David.
9) Various fixes and improvements to sockmap BPF kselftests in particular
in proper error detection and data verification, from Prashant.
10) Two arm32 BPF JIT improvements. One is to fix imm range check with
regards to whether immediate fits into 24 bits, and a naming cleanup
to get functions related to rsh handling consistent to those handling
lsh, from Wang.
11) Two compile warning fixes in BPF, one for BTF and a false positive
to silent gcc in stack_map_get_build_id_offset(), from Arnd.
12) Add missing seg6.h header into tools include infrastructure in order
to fix compilation of BPF kselftests, from Mathieu.
13) Several formatting cleanups in the BPF UAPI helper description that
also fix an error during rst2man compilation, from Quentin.
14) Hide an unused variable in sk_msg_convert_ctx_access() when IPv6 is
not built into the kernel, from Yue.
15) Remove a useless double assignment in dev_map_enqueue(), from Colin.

Here, a new type of allocator support is added to the XDP return
API. A zero-copy allocated xdp_buff cannot be converted to an
xdp_frame. Instead is the buff has to be copied. This is not supported
at all in this commit.
Also, an opaque "handle" is added to xdp_buff. This can be used as a
context for the zero-copy allocator implementation.

It is not safe to do so because such sockets are already in the
hash tables and changing these options can result in invalidating
the tb->fastreuse(port) caching.
This can have later far reaching consequences wrt. bind conflict checks
which rely on these caches (for optimization purposes).
Not to mention that you can currently end up with two identical
non-reuseport listening sockets bound to the same local ip:port
by clearing reuseport on them after they've already both been bound.
There is unfortunately no EISBOUND error or anything similar,
and EISCONN seems to be misleading for a bound-but-not-connected
socket, so use EUCLEAN 'Structure needs cleaning' which AFAICT
is the closest you can get to meaning 'socket in bad state'.
(although perhaps EINVAL wouldn't be a bad choice either?)
This does unfortunately run the risk of breaking buggy
userspace programs...

Some of the code paths calculating flow hash for IPv6 use flowlabel member
of struct flowi6 which, despite its name, encodes both flow label and

This is the first real user of the XDP_XMIT_FLUSH flag.
As pointed out many times, XDP_REDIRECT without using BPF maps is
significant slower than the map variant. This is primary due to the
lack of bulking, as the ndo_xdp_flush operation is required after each
frame (to avoid frames hanging on the egress device).
It is still possible to optimize this case. Instead of invoking two
NDO indirect calls, which are very expensive with CONFIG_RETPOLINE,
instead instruct ndo_xdp_xmit to flush via XDP_XMIT_FLUSH flag.

Add a new bpf_skb_cgroup_id() helper that allows to retrieve the
cgroup id from the skb's socket. This is useful in particular to
enable bpf_get_cgroup_classid()-like behavior for cgroup v1 in
cgroup v2 by allowing ID based matching on egress. This can in
particular be used in combination with applying policy e.g. from
map lookups, and also complements the older bpf_skb_under_cgroup()
interface. In user space the cgroup id for a given path can be
retrieved through the f_handle as demonstrated in [0] recently.

In the quest to remove all stack VLA usage from the kernel[1], this
allocates the maximum size expected for all possible types and adds
sanity-checks at both registration and usage to make sure nothing gets
out of sync. This matches the proposed VLA solution for nfnetlink[2]. The
values chosen here were based on finding assignments for .maxtype and
.slave_maxtype and manually counting the enums:
slave_maxtype (max 33):
IFLA_BRPORT_MAX 33
IFLA_BOND_SLAVE_MAX 9
maxtype (max 45):
IFLA_BOND_MAX 28
IFLA_BR_MAX 45
__IFLA_CAIF_HSI_MAX 8
IFLA_CAIF_MAX 4
IFLA_CAN_MAX 16
IFLA_GENEVE_MAX 12
IFLA_GRE_MAX 25
IFLA_GTP_MAX 5
IFLA_HSR_MAX 7
IFLA_IPOIB_MAX 4
IFLA_IPTUN_MAX 21
IFLA_IPVLAN_MAX 3
IFLA_MACSEC_MAX 15
IFLA_MACVLAN_MAX 7
IFLA_PPP_MAX 2
__IFLA_RMNET_MAX 4
IFLA_VLAN_MAX 6
IFLA_VRF_MAX 2
IFLA_VTI_MAX 7
IFLA_VXLAN_MAX 28
VETH_INFO_MAX 2
VXCAN_INFO_MAX 2
This additionally changes maxtype and slave_maxtype fields to unsigned,
since they're only ever using positive values.

The failover module provides a generic interface for paravirtual drivers
to register a netdev and a set of ops with a failover instance. The ops
are used as event handlers that get called to handle netdev register/
unregister/link change/name change events on slave pci ethernet devices
with the same mac address as the failover netdev.
This enables paravirtual drivers to use a VF as an accelerated low latency
datapath. It also allows migration of VMs with direct attached VFs by
failing over to the paravirtual datapath when the VF is unplugged.

the patch provides new hooks for sys_sendmsg.
It leverages existing BPF program type `BPF_PROG_TYPE_CGROUP_SOCK_ADDR`
that provides access to socket itlself (properties like family, type,
protocol) and user-passed `struct sockaddr *` so that BPF program can
override destination IP and port for system calls such as sendto(2) or
sendmsg(2) and/or assign source IP to the socket.
The hooks are implemented as two new attach types:
`BPF_CGROUP_UDP4_SENDMSG` and `BPF_CGROUP_UDP6_SENDMSG` for UDPv4 and
UDPv6 correspondingly.
UDPv4 and UDPv6 separate attach types for same reason as sys_bind and
sys_connect hooks, i.e. to prevent reading from / writing to e.g.
user_ip6 fields when user passes sockaddr_in since it'd be out-of-bound.
The difference with already existing hooks is sys_sendmsg are
implemented only for unconnected UDP.
For TCP it doesn't make sense to change user-provided `struct sockaddr *`
at sendto(2)/sendmsg(2) time since socket either was already connected
and has source/destination set or wasn't connected and call to
sendto(2)/sendmsg(2) would lead to ENOTCONN anyway.
Connected UDP is already handled by sys_connect hooks that can override
source/destination at connect time and use fast-path later, i.e. these
hooks don't affect UDP fast-path.
Rewriting source IP is implemented differently than that in sys_connect
hooks. When sys_sendmsg is used with unconnected UDP it doesn't work to
just bind socket to desired local IP address since source IP can be set
on per-packet basis by using ancillary data (cmsg(3)). So no matter if
socket is bound or not, source IP has to be rewritten on every call to
sys_sendmsg.
To do so two new fields are added to UAPI `struct bpf_sock_addr`;
* `msg_src_ip4` to set source IPv4 for UDPv4;
* `msg_src_ip6` to set source IPv6 for UDPv6.

This patch change the API for ndo_xdp_xmit to support bulking
xdp_frames.
When kernel is compiled with CONFIG_RETPOLINE, XDP sees a huge slowdown.
Most of the slowdown is caused by DMA API indirect function calls, but
also the net_device->ndo_xdp_xmit() call.
Benchmarked patch with CONFIG_RETPOLINE, using xdp_redirect_map with
single flow/core test (CPU E5-1650 v4 @ 3.60GHz), showed
performance improved:
for driver ixgbe: 6,042,682 pps -> 6,853,768 pps = +811,086 pps
for driver i40e : 6,187,169 pps -> 6,724,519 pps = +537,350 pps
With frames avail as a bulk inside the driver ndo_xdp_xmit call,
further optimizations are possible, like bulk DMA-mapping for TX.
Testing without CONFIG_RETPOLINE show the same performance for
physical NIC drivers.
The virtual NIC driver tun sees a huge performance boost, as it can
avoid doing per frame producer locking, but instead amortize the
locking cost over the bulk.

When sending an xdp_frame through xdp_do_redirect call, then error
cases can happen where the xdp_frame needs to be dropped, and
returning an -errno code isn't sufficient/possible any-longer
(e.g. for cpumap case). This is already fully supported, by simply
calling xdp_return_frame.
This patch is an optimization, which provides xdp_return_frame_rx_napi,
which is a faster variant for these error cases. It take advantage of
the protection provided by XDP RX running under NAPI protection.
This change is mostly relevant for drivers using the page_pool
allocator as it can take advantage of this. (Tested with mlx5).

Notice how this allow us get XDP statistic without affecting the XDP
performance, as tracepoint is no-longer activated on a per packet basis.
V5: Spotted by John Fastabend.
Fix 'sent' also counted 'drops' in this patch, a later patch corrected
this, but it was a mistake in this intermediate step.
