l2cap_sock_new_connection_cb() returned l2cap_pi(sk)->chan after
release_sock(parent). Once the parent lock is dropped the newly
enqueued child socket sk is reachable via the accept queue, so another
task can accept and free it before the callback dereferences sk,
resulting in a use-after-free.
Rework the ->new_connection() op so the core, rather than the callback,
owns the child channel's lifetime. The op now receives a pre-allocated
new_chan and returns an errno instead of allocating and returning a
channel. l2cap_new_connection() allocates the child channel and links
it into the conn list via __l2cap_chan_add() before invoking the
callback, so the conn-list reference keeps the channel alive once
release_sock(parent) exposes the socket to other tasks.
Channel configuration that was duplicated in l2cap_sock_init() and the
various new_connection callbacks is consolidated into
l2cap_chan_set_defaults(), which now inherits from the parent channel
when one is supplied.

The br_netfilter fake rtable is embedded in struct net_bridge and is
attached to bridged packets with skb_dst_set_noref(). If such a packet is
queued to NFQUEUE, __nf_queue() upgrades that fake dst with
skb_dst_force().
At that point the queued skb can hold a real dst reference after bridge
teardown has started. The problem is not that every bridged packet needs
its own dst reference. The problem is that NFQUEUE can keep the bridge
private fake dst alive after unregister begins.
Fix this by keeping the bridge fake dst model unchanged and pinning the
bridge master device only while the packet sits in NFQUEUE. Record the
bridge device in nf_queue_entry when the queued skb carries a bridge fake
dst, take a device reference for the queue lifetime, and drop it when the
queue entry is freed.
Also make sure queued entries are reaped when that bridge device goes
down, and drop the redundant nf_bridge_info_exists() test from the fake
dst detection.
This keeps netdev_priv(br->dev) alive until verdict completion, so the
embedded fake rtable and its metrics backing storage cannot be freed out
from under dst_release(). It also avoids the constant refcount bump and
avoids using ipv4-specific dst helpers for IPv6 bridge traffic.

IPVS callers already parse the packet into struct ip_vs_iphdr before
updating connection state. For IPv6 this records the real
transport-header offset after extension headers in iph.len.
Pass this parsed transport offset through ip_vs_set_state() and the
protocol state_transition() callback so protocol handlers can use the
same packet context as scheduling and NAT handling. This patch only
changes the common callback plumbing and adapts the protocol callback
signatures; TCP and SCTP start using the value in follow-up patches.

A race condition exists between device teardown and incoming MLD query
processing, leading to a Use-After-Free in the MLD delayed work.
During device destruction, the primary reference to inet6_dev is dropped,
which can drop its refcount to 0. The actual freeing of inet6_dev memory
is deferred via RCU.
Concurrently, the packet receive path runs under RCU read lock and obtains
the inet6_dev pointer. Because the memory is RCU-protected, CPU-0 can
safely dereference inet6_dev even if its refcount has hit 0.
However, if CPU-0 calls igmp6_event_query() and schedules delayed work, it
attempts to acquire a reference using in6_dev_hold(). This increments the
refcount from 0 to 1, triggering a "refcount_t: addition on 0" warning.
Since the inet6_dev memory is still scheduled to be freed after the RCU
grace period, the device is freed while the work is still scheduled.
When the work runs, it accesses the freed memory, causing a kernel panic.
Fix this by using refcount_inc_not_zero() (via a new helper
in6_dev_hold_safe()) to prevent acquiring a reference if the device is
already being destroyed. If the refcount is 0, we do not schedule the work.

There is a TOCTOU race condition in flower lockless approach between sizing
a flow_rule buffer and filling it.
zdi-disclosures@trendmicro.com reports:
The cls_flower classifier operates with TCF_PROTO_OPS_DOIT_UNLOCKED
(fl_change runs without RTNL), while RTM_NEWACTION holds RTNL, so the
independent locking domains make the race reachable in practice. KASAN
confirms:

Note: The result is a heap OOB write attacker-controlled content into the
adjacent slab object (requires CAP_NET_ADMIN).
The fix introduces reading tcfp_nkeys under act->tcfa_lock in all places
using a new tcf_pedit_nkeys_locked() which replaces the old tcf_pedit_nkeys().
Additionally we close the remaining TOCTOU window between the sizing read and
the fill reads by more careful accounting.
Rather than silently truncating the key count, which leads to incorrect
action semantics offloaded to hardware and secondary OOB writes if
the remaining capacity is zero or consumed by prior actions, we enforce
remaining capacity checks and return -ENOSPC if the required space exceeds
the remaining capacity.

GUE private flags can indicate that remote checksum offload metadata is
present. The private flags field itself is accounted for by
guehdr_flags_len(), but guehdr_priv_flags_len() currently returns 0 even
when GUE_PFLAG_REMCSUM is set.
This lets a packet with only the private flags field pass
validate_gue_flags(), after which gue_remcsum() and gue_gro_remcsum()
read the missing REMCSUM start/offset fields from the following bytes.
Account for GUE_PLEN_REMCSUM when GUE_PFLAG_REMCSUM is present so that
malformed packets are rejected during option validation.

When CONFIG_IP_MULTIPLE_TABLES is enabled but no rule is added,
fib_lookup() performs route lookup directly on two tables.
Since the first lookup does not properly bail out, the result
of an error route in the merged local/main table could be
overwritten by another route in the default table:

This file contains the path discovery that is run from the forward chain
for the packet offloading the flow into the flowtable. This consists
of a series of calls to dev_fill_forward_path() for each device stack.
More topologies may be supported in the future, so move this code to its
own file to separate it from the nftables flow_offload expression.

Blamed commit added NFT_META_BRI_IIFHWADDR to the set validate callback,
yet this is a get operation.
Add a get validate callback and move the NFT_META_BRI_IIFHWADDR key
there.
AFAICS this is harmless, NFT_META_BRI_IIFHWADDR can deal with a NULL
input device and the set handler ignores a NFT_META_BRI_IIFHWADDR
operation, but it allows to read 4 bytes off bridge skb->cb[].

SCTP_DIAG endpoint dumping was traversing endpoint address lists without
holding lock_sock(), while those lists could change concurrently via
socket operations (e.g., bindx changes). This creates a race where
nla_reserve() counts addresses under RCU protection, but the subsequent
copy may see fewer entries, potentially leaking uninitialized memory to
userspace.
Fix this by:
- Taking a reference on each endpoint during hash traversal
- Moving socket operations (lock_sock()) outside read_lock_bh()
- Serializing address list access during dump
- Reworking sctp_for_each_endpoint() to support restart-based traversal
with (net, pos) tracking
Also:
- Add WARN_ON_ONCE() for inconsistent address counts
- Fix idiag_states filtering for LISTEN vs association cases
- Skip dumping endpoints being freed (ep->base.dead)
- Move dump position tracking into iterator, removing cb->args[4] and
its comment for sctp_ep_dump().,
- Update the comment for cb->args[4] and remove the comment for unused
cb->args[5] for sctp_sock_dump().
Note: traversal is restart-based and may re-scan buckets multiple times,
but this is acceptable due to small bucket sizes and required to support
sleeping-safe callbacks.

syzbot reported a shift-out-of-bounds in xfrm_selector_match()
due to AF_UNSPEC selector with large prefixlen (e.g. 128) matched
against IPv4 flow (when XFRM_STATE_AF_UNSPEC is set).
Fix this by:
- Rejecting mismatched families in xfrm_selector_match.
- Returning false in addr4_match if prefixlen > 32.
- Returning false in addr_match if prefixlen > 128 (prevents overflow).

A child socket inherits the listener's bpf_sock_ops_cb_flags via
sk_clone_lock(). If its setup fails in tcp_v4_syn_recv_sock() /
tcp_v6_syn_recv_sock(), the child is freed through put_and_exit, where
inet_csk_prepare_forced_close() drops the socket lock and tcp_done() runs
without it.
If BPF_SOCK_OPS_STATE_CB_FLAG was inherited, tcp_done() -> tcp_set_state()
calls tcp_call_bpf(), which expects the lock and trips sock_owned_by_me():

The child is freed before it is ever established, so it should run no
sock_ops callback. Clear its cb flags in inet_csk_prepare_for_destroy_sock(),
the common point for the IPv4, IPv6 and chtls forced-close paths and for the
MPTCP ->syn_recv_sock() failure path (dispose_child), which reaches tcp_done()
on a child that was never established too.

When an 802.3ad (LACP) bonding interface has no slaves in the
collecting/distributing state, the bonding master still reports
carrier as up as long as at least 'min_links' slaves have carrier.
In this situation, only one slave is effectively used for TX/RX,
while traffic received on other slaves is dropped. Upper-layer
daemons therefore consider the interface operational, even though
traffic may be blackholed if the lack of LACP negotiation means
the partner is not ready to deal with traffic.
Introduce a configuration knob to control this behavior. It allows
the bonding master to assert carrier only when at least 'min_links'
slaves are in Collecting_Distributing state.
The default mode preserves the existing behavior. This patch only
introduces the knob; its behavior is implemented in the subsequent
commit.

This infrastructure is not used anymore after moving ct timeout and
helper to use datapath refcount to track object use.
Revert commit c56716c69ce1 ("netfilter: extensions: introduce extension
genid count") this patch disables all ct extensions (leading to NULL)
for unconfirmed conntracks, when this is only targeted at ct helper and
ct timeout. There is also codebase that dereferences the ct extension
without checking for NULL which could lead to crash.

hci_abort_conn() read hci_skb_event(hdev->sent_cmd) when a connection
was pending, but hdev->sent_cmd can be NULL while req_status is still
HCI_REQ_PEND, leading to a NULL pointer dereference and a general
protection fault from the hci_rx_work() receive path.
Instead of inspecting hdev->sent_cmd, track the in-flight create
connection command with a new per-connection HCI_CONN_CREATE flag and
route all cancellation through hci_cancel_connect_sync(), which
dispatches to a dedicated per-type cancel function. The create command
is in exactly one of two states: still queued, or in flight. The cancel
function holds cmd_sync_work_lock across the whole decision: the worker
takes this lock to dequeue every entry, so while it is held a queued
command cannot start running and an in-flight command cannot complete
and let the next command become pending. This keeps the flag test and
hci_cmd_sync_cancel() atomic with respect to the worker, so a queued
command is simply dequeued, and an in-flight command owned by this
connection is cancelled without the risk of cancelling an unrelated
command that became pending in the meantime. CIS uses the same flag
mechanism via HCI_CONN_CREATE_CIS but cannot be dequeued per-connection.
hci_acl_create_conn_sync() and hci_le_create_conn_sync() clear
HCI_CONN_CREATE after the create command completes, but the command
status handler can free conn via hci_conn_del() (for example when the
controller rejects the connection) while the worker is still blocked on
the connection complete event. Hold a reference on conn across the
create command so the flag can be cleared without a use-after-free.

Fix it by having chan->conn hold a reference to l2cap_conn (via
l2cap_conn_get) when the channel is added to the connection, and
releasing it in the channel destructor. This ensures the l2cap_conn
remains alive as long as the channel exists.
A new FLAG_DEL channel flag is introduced to indicate that the channel
has been deleted from its connection. l2cap_chan_del() atomically sets
this flag using test_and_set_bit() instead of setting chan->conn to
NULL. All asynchronous workers (l2cap_chan_timeout, l2cap_ack_timeout,
l2cap_monitor_timeout, l2cap_retrans_timeout) and l2cap_chan_send()
check FLAG_DEL to determine whether the channel has been torn down,
rather than testing chan->conn for NULL.

Commit 51e547e8c89c ("tcp: Free TCP-AO/TCP-MD5 info/keys without RCU")
removed the call_rcu() callback from tcp_ao_destroy_sock(), arguing that
"the destruction of info/keys is delayed until the socket destructor"
and therefore "no one can discover it anymore".
That argument does not hold for the call site in tcp_connect()
(net/ipv4/tcp_output.c:4327-4332). At that point the socket is in
TCP_SYN_SENT, has already been inserted into the inet ehash by
inet_hash_connect() in tcp_v4_connect(), and is therefore very much
discoverable: any softirq running tcp_v4_rcv() on another CPU can take
the socket out of the ehash, walk into tcp_inbound_hash(), and load
tp->ao_info via implicit RCU before bh_lock_sock_nested() is taken on
the destroying CPU.
The reader path then enters __tcp_ao_do_lookup() (net/ipv4/tcp_ao.c:208)
which re-loads tp->ao_info via rcu_dereference_check(); the re-load can
still observe the (about-to-be-freed) pointer because there is no
synchronize_rcu() between rcu_assign_pointer(tp->ao_info, NULL) and
tcp_ao_info_free() in tcp_ao_destroy_sock(). The captured pointer is
then walked at line 223:
hlist_for_each_entry_rcu(key, &ao->head, node, ...)
The writer's synchronous kfree() is free to complete between the line
218 re-fetch and the line 223 hlist iteration. The slab is reused
(or simply LIST_POISON1-stamped if not yet reused) and the iteration
walks attacker-controlled or poison memory in softirq context.
Reproducer (no debug shim, stock x86_64 v7.1-rc2 SMP+KASAN, QEMU+KVM):
an unprivileged uid=1000 process inside CLONE_NEWUSER|CLONE_NEWNET
installs TCP_MD5SIG + TCP_AO_ADD_KEY on a TCP socket, sprays forged
TCP-AO segments toward its eventual 4-tuple via raw sockets, then
calls connect(). The md5-wins reconciliation in tcp_connect() fires
tcp_ao_destroy_sock(); the softirq backlog reader on the loopback
NAPI path crashes on the freed ao->head.first walk:

Restore the RCU grace period: re-add struct rcu_head to tcp_ao_info
and replace the synchronous tcp_ao_info_free() with a call_rcu()
callback. Readers that captured tp->ao_info before rcu_assign_pointer
NULLed it now see the object remain valid until rcu_read_unlock().
With the patch applied the reproducer runs cleanly for 2000 iterations
on the same kernel build.

A tunnel changelink() operates on at most two netns, dev_net(dev) and
the tunnel link netns t->net. They differ once the device is created in
or moved to a netns other than the one the request runs in. The rtnl
changelink path checks CAP_NET_ADMIN only against dev_net(dev), so a
caller privileged there but not in t->net can rewrite a tunnel that
lives in t->net.
Add rtnl_dev_link_net_capable() next to rtnl_get_net_ns_capable() in
net/core/rtnetlink.c. It requires CAP_NET_ADMIN in the link netns and is
skipped when the link netns is dev_net(dev), where the rtnl path already
checked it. The other patches in this series use the same helper.
Gate ipgre_changelink() and erspan_changelink() with it, at the top of
the op before any attribute is parsed, because the parsers update live
tunnel fields first. ipgre_netlink_parms() sets t->collect_md before
ip_tunnel_changelink() runs.
Commit 8b484efd5cb4 ("ip6: vti: Use ip6_tnl.net in
vti6_siocdevprivate().") added the same check on the ioctl path. This
adds it on RTM_NEWLINK.

rose_neigh_put() kfree()s the neighbour but never cancels its ftimer and
t0timer. Until now every caller that dropped the final reference first
called rose_remove_neigh(), which deletes those timers. The socket
heartbeat reaping path drops the last reference directly, so a neighbour
could be freed with t0timer still armed -- it re-arms itself in
rose_t0timer_expiry() -- leading to a use-after-free write in
enqueue_timer().
Cancel both timers with timer_delete_sync() (the synchronous variant, to
wait out a concurrently running, self-rearming handler) in the
refcount-zero branch of rose_neigh_put().

net/bluetooth/l2cap_core.c:l2cap_sig_channel() accepts BR/EDR
signaling packets up to the channel MTU and dispatches each command
without enforcing the signaling MTU (MTUsig). A Bluetooth BR/EDR peer
within radio range can send a fixed-channel CID 0x0001 packet that is
larger than MTUsig and contains many L2CAP_ECHO_REQ commands before
pairing. In a real-radio stock-kernel run, one 681-byte signaling
packet containing 168 zero-length ECHO_REQ commands made the target
transmit 168 ECHO_RSP frames over about 220 ms.
Impact: a Bluetooth BR/EDR peer within radio range, before pairing, can
force 168 ECHO_RSP frames from one 681-byte fixed-channel signaling
packet containing packed ECHO_REQ commands.
Define Linux's BR/EDR signaling MTU as the spec minimum of 48 bytes and
reject any larger signaling packet with one L2CAP_COMMAND_REJECT_RSP
carrying L2CAP_REJ_MTU_EXCEEDED before any command is dispatched.
The Bluetooth Core spec wording for MTUExceeded says the reject
identifier shall match the first request command in the packet, and
that packets containing only responses shall be silently discarded.
Linux intentionally deviates from that prescription: silently
discarding desynchronizes the peer because the remote stack never
learns its responses were dropped, and locating the first request
command requires walking command headers past MTUsig, i.e. processing
bytes from a packet we have already decided is too large to process.
We therefore always emit one reject and use the identifier from the
first command header, a single fixed-offset byte read.
The unrestricted BR/EDR signaling parser and ECHO_REQ response path both
trace to the initial git import; no later introducing commit is
available for a Fixes tag.

NAT helpers such as nf_nat_h323 store a raw pointer to module text in
exp->expectfn (e.g. ip_nat_q931_expect). nf_ct_helper_expectfn_unregister()
only unlinks the callback descriptor and never walks the expectation table,
so an expectation pending at module removal survives with a dangling
exp->expectfn into freed module text.
When the expected connection arrives, init_conntrack() invokes
exp->expectfn(), now a stale pointer into the unloaded module. Reproduced
on a KASAN build by loading the H.323 helpers, creating a Q.931
expectation, unloading nf_nat_h323, then connecting to the expected port:

Reaching the dangling state requires CAP_SYS_MODULE in the initial user
namespace to remove a NAT helper that still has live expectations, so this
is a robustness fix; leaving an expectation pointing at freed text is wrong
regardless.
Add nf_ct_helper_expectfn_destroy(), which walks the expectation table and
drops every expectation whose ->expectfn matches the descriptor being torn
down. Call it from each NAT helper's exit path after the existing RCU grace
period, so no expectation outlives the code it points at and no extra
synchronize_rcu() is introduced. With the fix, the same reproducer runs to
completion without the Oops.

skb_is_err_queue() treats PACKET_OUTGOING as the sole marker for an skb
from sk_error_queue. That assumption is not true for AF_PACKET sockets:
outgoing packet taps are also delivered to packet sockets with
skb->pkt_type == PACKET_OUTGOING, but their skb->cb is owned by AF_PACKET
instead of struct sock_exterr_skb.
If such an skb is received with timestamping enabled, the generic
timestamp cmsg path can read AF_PACKET control-buffer state as
sock_exterr_skb::opt_stats. With SO_RXQ_OVFL enabled, the packet drop
counter overlaps opt_stats. An odd drop count makes the path emit
SCM_TIMESTAMPING_OPT_STATS with skb->len and skb->data. For non-linear
skbs this copies past the linear head and can trigger hardened usercopy or
disclose adjacent heap contents.
Keep skb_is_err_queue() local to net/socket.c, but make it verify that
the PACKET_OUTGOING marker is paired with the sock_rmem_free destructor
installed by sock_queue_err_skb(). AF_PACKET receive skbs use normal
receive ownership and no longer pass as error-queue skbs, while legitimate
sk_error_queue entries keep the PACKET_OUTGOING marker and sock_rmem_free
ownership.

tcf_pedit_act() computes the COW range for skb_ensure_writable()
once before the key loop using tcfp_off_max_hint, but the hint does
not account for the runtime header offset added by typed keys. This
can leave part of the write region un-COW'd.
Fix by moving skb_ensure_writable() inside the per-key loop where
the actual write offset is known, and add overflow checking on the
offset arithmetic. For negative offsets (e.g. Ethernet header edits
at ingress), use skb_cow() to COW the headroom instead. Guard
offset_valid() against INT_MIN, where negation is undefined.

When NEWTFILTER and DELFILTER are run concurrently it is possible to create a
race with an associated action.
Let's illustrate with CPU0 running NEWTFILTER and CPU1 running DELFILTER:

This patch fixes the race condition between NEWTFILTER and DELFILTER by
adding struct rcu_head to tc_action used in the deferral and introducing a
call_rcu() in the delete path to defer the final kfree().
Note: this is a revert of commit d7fb60b9cafb ("net_sched: get rid of tcfa_rcu")
but also modernization/simplification to directly use kfree_rcu().

ip_vs_edit_service() while unbinding the old scheduler clears
the svc->scheduler ptr after the scheduler module initiates
RCU callbacks. This can cause packets to use the old
scheduler at the time when svc->sched_data is already freed
after RCU grace period.
Fix it by clearing the ptr early in ip_vs_unbind_scheduler(),
before the done_service method schedules any RCU callbacks.
Also, if the new scheduler fails to initialize when replacing
the old scheduler, try to restore the old scheduler while still
returning the error code.

xfrm_send_migrate() in net/xfrm/xfrm_user.c and pfkey_send_migrate()
in net/key/af_key.c both hardcode &init_net for the multicast that
announces a successful XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE / SADB_X_MIGRATE.
XFRM_MSG_MIGRATE arrives on a per-netns NETLINK_XFRM socket, and the
rest of the xfrm/af_key netlink path was made netns-aware in 2008.
The other 14 multicast paths in xfrm_user.c route their event using
xs_net(x), xp_net(xp) or sock_net(skb->sk); only the migrate path
was missed.
Two consequences of the init_net hardcoding:
1. The notification (selector, old/new endpoint addresses, and the
km_address) is delivered to listeners on init_net's
XFRMNLGRP_MIGRATE / pfkey BROADCAST_ALL groups rather than on
the issuing netns. An IKE daemon running in init_net therefore
receives migration notifications originating from any other
netns on the host.
2. An IKE daemon running inside a non-init netns and subscribed
to its own XFRMNLGRP_MIGRATE / pfkey groups never receives the
notification of its own migration. IKEv2 MOBIKE / address-update
handling inside a netns is silently broken.
Thread struct net through km_migrate() and the xfrm_mgr.migrate
function pointer, drop the &init_net override in xfrm_send_migrate()
and pfkey_send_migrate(), and pass the caller's net (already in
scope in xfrm_migrate() via sock_net(skb->sk)) all the way down.
struct xfrm_mgr is in-tree only and not exported as a stable API,
so the function-pointer signature change is internal.
pfkey_broadcast() is already netns-aware via net_generic(net,
pfkey_net_id) since the pernet conversion. The five other
pfkey_broadcast() callers in af_key.c already pass xs_net(x),
sock_net(sk) or a per-netns net, so this only removes the
&init_net outlier.

For lshift and rshift, the shift operations are performed in a loop over
32-bit words. The loop calculates the shifted value and write it to dst,
and then immediately reads from src to calculate the carry for the next
iteration. Because src and dst could point to the same memory location,
the carry is incorrectly calculated using the newly modified dst value
instead of the original src value.
Adding a temporary local variable to cache the original value before
writing to dst and using it for the carry calculation solves the
problem. In addition, partial overlap is rejected from control plane for
all kind of operations including byteorder. This was tested with the

Blamed commit moved the TIME_WAIT-derived ISN from the skb control
block to a per-CPU variable, assuming the value would always be consumed
by tcp_conn_request() for the same packet that wrote it. That assumption
is violated by multiple drop paths between the producer
(__this_cpu_write(tcp_tw_isn, isn) in tcp_v{4,6}_rcv()) and the consumer
(tcp_conn_request()):
- min_ttl / min_hopcount check
- xfrm policy check
- tcp_inbound_hash() MD5/AO mismatch
- tcp_filter() eBPF/SO_ATTACH_FILTER drop
- th->syn && th->fin discard in tcp_rcv_state_process() TCP_LISTEN
- psp_sk_rx_policy_check() in tcp_v{4,6}_do_rcv()
- tcp_checksum_complete() in tcp_v{4,6}_do_rcv()
- tcp_v{4,6}_cookie_check() returning NULL
When a packet is dropped on any of these paths, tcp_tw_isn is left set.
The next SYN processed on the same CPU then consumes the non zero value in
tcp_conn_request(), receiving a potentially predictable ISN.
This patch moves back tcp_tw_isn to skb->cb[], getting rid of the per-cpu
variable.
Note that tcp_v{4,6}_fill_cb() do not set it.
Very litle impact on overall code size/complexity:

Recent commit changed the semantics from NOT_VALID to VALID.
I didn't realize that the flags are not stored atomically
with the entry in XArray. There's still a race of reader
observing a VALID mark for a slot, getting interrupted,
writer replacing the entry with a different one, reader
continuing, fetching the entry which is now a different
pointer than the pointer for which VALID was meant.
The biggest consequence of this is that we may see a UAF
since net_shaper_rollback() assumed that entries without
VALID can be freed without observing RCU.
Looks like the XArray marks are buying us nothing at this
point. Let's convert the code to an explicit valid field.
The smp_load_acquire() / smp_store_release() barriers are
marginally cleaner.

br_pass_frame_up() rewrites skb->dev from the ingress port to the bridge
master before queueing bridge LOCAL_IN packets. NFQUEUE only holds
references on state.in/out and bridge physdevs, so a queued bridge
packet can retain a freed bridge master in skb->dev until reinjection.
When the verdict is reinjected later, br_netif_receive_skb() re-enters
the receive path with skb->dev still pointing at the freed bridge master,
triggering a use-after-free.
Store skb->dev in the queue entry, hold a reference on it for the queue
lifetime, and use the saved device when dropping queued packets during
NETDEV_DOWN handling.

bt_sock_poll() walks the accept queue without synchronization, while
child teardown can unlink the same socket and drop its last reference.
The unsynchronized accept queue walk has existed since the initial
Bluetooth import.
Protect accept_q with a dedicated lock for queue updates and polling.
Also rework bt_accept_dequeue() to take temporary child references under
the queue lock before dropping it and locking the child socket.

Implement .ndo_tx_timeout for MANA so any stalled TX queue can be detected
and a device-controlled port reset for all queues can be scheduled to a
ordered workqueue. The reset for all queues on stall detection is
recomended by hardware team.

When MANA is being probed, it's possible that hardware is in recovery
mode and the device may get GDMA_EQE_HWC_RESET_REQUEST over HWC in the
middle of the probe. Detect such condition and go through the recovery
service procedure.

The MANA hardware supports a maximum of 30 scatter-gather entries (SGEs)
per TX WQE. Exceeding this limit can cause TX failures.
Add ndo_features_check() callback to validate SKB layout before
transmission. For GSO SKBs that would exceed the hardware SGE limit, clear
NETIF_F_GSO_MASK to enforce software segmentation in the stack.
Add a fallback in mana_start_xmit() to linearize non-GSO SKBs that still
exceed the SGE limit.
Also, Add ethtool counter for SKBs linearized

Report standard counter stats->rx_missed_errors
using hc_rx_discards_no_wqe from the hardware.
Add a global workqueue to periodically run
mana_query_gf_stats every 2 seconds to get the latest
info in eth_stats and define a driver capability flag
to notify hardware of the periodic queries.
To avoid repeated failures and log flooding, the workqueue
is not rescheduled if mana_query_gf_stats fails on HWC timeout
error and the stats are reset to 0. Other errors are transient
which will not need a VF reset for recovery.

Move hardware counter (HC) statistics from mana_port_context to
mana_context to enable sharing stats across multiple network ports
on the same MANA VF. Previously, each network port queried
hardware counters independently using MANA_QUERY_GF_STAT command
(GF = Generic Function stats from GDMA hardware), resulting in
redundant queries when multiple ports existed on the same device.
Isolate hardware counter stats by introducing mana_ethtool_hc_stats
in mana_context and update the code to ensure all stats are properly
reported via ethtool -S <interface>, maintaining consistency with
previous behavior.

pie_dump_stats() only runs with RTNL held,
reading fields that can be changed in qdisc fast path.
Add READ_ONCE()/WRITE_ONCE() annotations.
Alternative would be to acquire the qdisc spinlock, but our long-term
goal is to make qdisc dump operations lockless as much as we can.
tc_pie_xstats fields don't need to be latched atomically,
otherwise this bug would have been caught earlier.

Some applications uses TCP_TX_DELAY socket option after TCP flow
is established.
Some metrics need to be updated, otherwise TCP might take time to
adapt to the new (emulated) RTT.
This patch adjusts tp->srtt_us, tp->rtt_min, icsk_rto
and sk->sk_pacing_rate.
This is best effort, and for instance icsk_rto is reset
without taking backoff into account.

tcp_get_timestamping_opt_stats() intentionally runs lockless, we must
add READ_ONCE(), WRITE_ONCE() data_race() annotations to keep KCSAN happy.

tcp_get_timestamping_opt_stats() does not own the socket lock,
this is intentional.
It calls tcp_get_info_chrono_stats() while other threads could
change chrono fields in tcp_chrono_set().
I do not think we need coherent TCP socket state snapshot
in tcp_get_timestamping_opt_stats(), I chose to only
add annotations to keep KCSAN happy.

tcp_chrono_start() is small enough, and used in TCP sendmsg()
fast path (from tcp_skb_entail()).
Note clang is already inlining it from functions in tcp_output.c.
Inlining it improves performance and reduces bloat :

Handle the NIC hardware link state events received from the HW
channel, then set the proper link state accordingly.
And, add a feature bit, GDMA_DRV_CAP_FLAG_1_HW_VPORT_LINK_AWARE,
to inform the NIC hardware this handler exists.
Our MANA NIC only sends out the link state down/up messages
when we need to let the VM rerun DHCP client and change IP
address. So, add netif_carrier_on() in the probe(), let the NIC
show the right initial state in /sys/class/net/ethX/operstate.

From the MCTP Base specification (DSP0236 v1.2.1), the first byte of
the MCTP header contains a 4 bit reserved field, and 4 bit version.
On our current receive path, we require those 4 reserved bits to be
zero, but the 9500-8i card is non-conformant, and may set these
reserved bits.
DSP0236 states that the reserved bits must be written as zero, and
ignored when read. While the device might not conform to the former,
we should accept these message to conform to the latter.
Relax our check on the MCTP version byte to allow non-zero bits in the
reserved field.
