2019-05-16drivers/virt/fsl_hypervisor.c: prevent integer overflow in ioctlDan Carpenter1-0/+3
commit 6a024330650e24556b8a18cc654ad00cfecf6c6c upstream. The "param.count" value is a u64 thatcomes from the user. The code later in the function assumes that param.count is at least one and if it's not then it leads to an Oops when we dereference the ZERO_SIZE_PTR. Also the addition can have an integer overflow which would lead us to allocate a smaller "pages" array than required. I can't immediately tell what the possible run times implications are, but it's safest to prevent the overflow. 2019-05-16drivers/virt/fsl_hypervisor.c: dereferencing error pointers in ioctlDan Carpenter1-13/+13
commit c8ea3663f7a8e6996d44500ee818c9330ac4fd88 upstream. strndup_user() returns error pointers on error, and then in the error handling we pass the error pointers to kfree(). It will cause an Oops. 2018-12-17mm: replace get_user_pages() write/force parameters with gup_flagsLorenzo Stoakes1-2/+2
commit 768ae309a96103ed02eb1e111e838c87854d8b51 upstream. This removes the 'write' and 'force' from get_user_pages() and replaces them with 'gup_flags' to make the use of FOLL_FORCE explicit in callers as use of this flag can result in surprising behaviour (and hence bugs) within the mm subsystem. Powerpc is a mess of implicit includes by prom.h. Add the necessary explicit includes to drivers in preparation of prom.h cleanup. Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <rob.herring@calxeda.com> Acked-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@linaro.org>
2012-11-25drivers/virt: the Freescale hypervisor driver doesn't need to check MSR[GS]Timur Tabi1-3/+0
The MSR[GS] bit indicates whether the kernel is running in processor guest state mode, but such a check is unnecessary. The driver already checks for the /hypervisor node and the fsl,hv-version property, so it already knows that it's running under the Freescale hypervisor. There is nothing in the driver that inherently requires guest state, anyway. This fixes a break that can occur in some randconfig builds. 2011-07-22drivers/virt: add missing linux/interrupt.h to fsl_hypervisor.cTimur Tabi1-0/+1
fsl_hypervisor.c calls request_irq() but does not include linux/interrupt.h. Normally, the driver will compile without error, but it can fail on some configurations. Signed-off-by: Timur Tabi <timur@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Kumar Gala <galak@kernel.crashing.org>
2011-07-08drivers/virt: introduce Freescale hypervisor management driverTimur Tabi1-0/+937
Add the drivers/virt directory, which houses drivers that support virtualization environments, and add the Freescale hypervisor management driver. The Freescale hypervisor management driver provides several services to drivers and applications related to the Freescale hypervisor: 1. An ioctl interface for querying and managing partitions 2. A file interface to reading incoming doorbells 3. An interrupt handler for shutting down the partition upon receiving the shutdown doorbell from a manager partition 4. A kernel interface for receiving callbacks when a managed partition shuts down.
