2014-04-17video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen1-837/+0
The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch. 2013-09-20video: pxa168fb: use dev_get_platdata()Jingoo Han1-3/+3
Use the wrapper function for retrieving the platform data instead of accessing dev->platform_data directly. This is a cosmetic change to make the code simpler and enhance the readability. Signed-off-by: Jingoo Han <jg1.han@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>
2013-01-04Drivers: video: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-4/+4
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2012-02-24drivers/video/pxa168fb.c: use devm_ functionsJulia Lawall1-9/+6
The various devm_ functions allocate memory that is released when a driver detaches. This patch uses these functions for data that is allocated in the probe function of a platform device and is only freed in the remove function. By using devm_ioremap, it also removes a potential memory leak, because there was no call to iounmap in the probe function. 2011-12-04video: convert drivers/video/* to use module_platform_driver()Axel Lin1-11/+1
This patch converts the drivers in drivers/video/* to use the module_platform_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. 2011-06-10treewide: Convert uses of struct resource to resource_size(ptr)Joe Perches1-1/+1
Several fixes as well where the +1 was missing. Done via coccinelle scripts like: @@ struct resource *ptr; @@ - ptr->end - ptr->start + 1 + resource_size(ptr) and some grep and typing. Mostly uncompiled, no cross-compilers. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Jiri Kosina <jkosina@suse.cz>
2011-06-02drivers/video/pxa168fb.c: add missing clk_putJulia Lawall1-7/+10
Add a label for error-handling code in the case where only clk_get has succeeded. Rename the label failed to be consistent with the rest. A simplified version of the semantic match that finds the missing clk_put is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r exists@ expression e1,e2; statement S; @@ e1 = clk_get@p1(...); ... when != e1 = e2 when != clk_put(e1) when any if (...) { ... when != clk_put(e1) when != if (...) { ... clk_put(e1) ... } * return@p3 ...; } else S // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Paul Mundt <lethal@linux-sh.org>

2009-06-12fb: add support of LCD display controller on pxa168/910 (base layer)Lennert Buytenhek1-0/+803
This driver is originally written by Lennert, modified by Green to be feature complete, and ported by Jun Nie and Kevin Liu for pxa168/910 processors. The patch adds support for the on-chip LCD display controller, it currently supports the base (graphics) layer only.
