2007-10-16pm3fb: improvements and cleanupsKrzysztof Helt1-30/+38
This patch contains improvements: - it adds ROP_XOR in pm3fb_fillrect() - it conforms closer to coding style - it removes redundant parentheses and setting bits with 0 value - it checks if hardware acceleration is disabled in pm3fb_imageblit - it adds module description Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Helt <krzysztof.h1@wp.pl> Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-10-16pm3fb: 3 small fixesKrzysztof Helt1-6/+8
This patch contains 3 small improvements: - it corrects scan line width calculation in pm3fb_imageblit() - it corrects mmio mapping for big endian machines - it enables panning acceleration constants Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Helt <krzysztof.h1@wp.pl> Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

2007-10-16pm3fb: header file reductionKrzysztof Helt1-3/+2
This patch removes constants named AAA_DISABLE with value 0. They are redudant and misleading ( a |= AAA_DISABLE does nothing and usually should be a &= ~AAA_ENABLE). 2007-10-16pm3fb: copyarea and partial imageblit supporKrzysztof Helt1-11/+169
This patch adds accelerated copyarea and partially accelerated imageblit functions. There is also fixed one register address in the pm3fb.h file. 2007-07-17pm3fb: possible cleanupsAdrian Bunk1-27/+2
- remove the empty pm3fb_setup() and corresponding code - pm3fb_init() can become static [adaplas] - retain call to fb_get_options() for global options Signed-off-by: Adrian Bunk <bunk@stusta.de> Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

- fix 16-bit RGBA 4444 and 5551 modes (use fbset -rgba to set them) - kill wmb() after each register write by PM3_SLOW_WRITE_REG - kill inaccurate comments (leftovers from skeletonfb.c) - kill PCI class restriction, now it is more general and shorter - white spaces and other minor fixes and source reducing Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Helt <krzysztof.h1@wp.pl> Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-05-12pm3fb: Fix compile error if moduleAntonino A. Daplas1-1/+1
pm3fb_setup() should only compiled if pm3fb is built statically in the kernel. Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
2007-05-11pm3fb: Preliminary 2.4 to 2.6 portKrzysztof Helt1-3305/+678
This is a basic port from 2.4 kernel to 2.6. Acceleration is lost and big endian support probably too. The driver works in 8, 16 and 32 bit mode. [adaplas] - change VESA_* to FB_BLANK_* constants - removed unused function clear_memory - fix uninitialized variable compiler warning - some whitespace cleaning [akpm@linux-foundation.org: Nuke pestiferous CVS string] Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Helt <krzysztof.h1@wp.pl> Signed-off-by: Antonino Daplas <adaplas@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>

2006-07-11[PATCH] vt: Remove VT-specific declarations and definitions from tty.hJon Smirl1-1/+0
MAX_NR_CONSOLES, fg_console, want_console and last_console are more of a function of the VT layer than the TTY one. Moving these to vt.h and vt_kern.h allows all of the framebuffer and VT console drivers to remove their dependency on tty.h. 2006-03-25[PATCH] Remove MODULE_PARMRusty Russell1-9/+9
MODULE_PARM was actually breaking: recent gcc version optimize them out as unused. It's time to replace the last users, which are generally in the most unloved drivers anyway. Signed-off-by: Rusty Russell <rusty@rustcorp.com.au> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@osdl.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@osdl.org>
2006-01-15[PATCH] fbdev: Sanitize ->fb_ioctl prototypeChristoph Hellwig1-6/+2
The ioctl and file arguments to ->fb_mmap are totally unused and there's not reason a driver should need them. Also update the ->fb_compat_ioctl prototype to be the same as ->fb_mmap. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
