2017-11-09video: fbdev: mxsfb: fix pixelclock polarityStefan Agner1-2/+11
The PIXDATA flags of the display_flags enum are controller centric, e.g. NEGEDGE means the controller shall drive the data signals on pixelclocks negative edge. However, the drivers flag is display centric: Sample the data on negative (falling) edge. Therefore, change the if statement to check for the POSEDGE flag (which is typically not set): Drive on positive edge => sample on negative edge Signed-off-by: Stefan Agner <stefan@agner.ch> Acked-by: Shawn Guo <shawnguo@kernel.org> Cc: Jean-Christophe Plagniol-Villard <plagnioj@jcrosoft.com> Cc: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Cc: Liu Ying <Ying.Liu@freescale.com> Cc: Lothar Waßmann <LW@KARO-electronics.de> Cc: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Cc: Max Krummenacher <max.krummenacher@toradex.com> Cc: Mauro Salvini <mauro.salvini@smigroup.net> Signed-off-by: Bartlomiej Zolnierkiewicz <b.zolnierkie@samsung.com>
2016-08-30video: mxsfb: Fix framebuffer corruption on mx6sxMarek Vasut1-4/+5
Allocate the framebuffer memory as coherent, otherwise the framebuffer will suffer from artifacts when displaying scrolling text or video. This can be replicated on i.MX6SX (armv7), which has more complex memory architecture compared to the i.MX23/28 (armv5). The platform_device_id is not modified by the driver and core uses it as const. Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <k.kozlowski.k@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>
2015-05-07video: mxsfb: Make sure axi clock is enabled when accessing registersLiu Ying1-14/+54
The LCDIF engines embedded in i.MX6sl and i.MX6sx SoCs need the axi clock as the engine's system clock. The clock should be enabled when accessing LCDIF registers, otherwise the kernel would hang up. We should also keep the clock enabled when the engine is being active to scan out frames from memory. This patch makes sure the axi clock is enabled when accessing registers so that the kernel hang up issue can be fixed. 2014-11-06fbdev: mxsfb: Add support for mx6sl and mx6sxFabio Estevam1-0/+19
mx6sl and mx6sx share the same LCD controller as mx23 and mx28. Add support for it. The basic difference is the number of clocks that are required: - mx23/mx28: only one clock - mx6sl: two clocks - mx6sx: three clocks Signed-off-by: Fabio Estevam <fabio.estevam@freescale.com> Signed-off-by: Tomi Valkeinen <tomi.valkeinen@ti.com>
2014-04-17video: move fbdev to drivers/video/fbdevTomi Valkeinen1-0/+960
The drivers/video directory is a mess. It contains generic video related files, directories for backlight, console, linux logo, lots of fbdev device drivers, fbdev framework files. Make some order into the chaos by creating drivers/video/fbdev directory, and move all fbdev related files there. No functionality is changed, although I guess it is possible that some subtle Makefile build order related issue could be created by this patch.
