2018-02-03usb: option: Add support for FS040U modemOKAMOTO Yoshiaki1-0/+5
commit 69341bd15018da0a662847e210f9b2380c71e623 upstream. FS040U modem is manufactured by omega, and sold by Fujisoft. This patch adds ID of the modem to use option1 driver. Interface 3 is used as qmi_wwan, so the interface is ignored. 2017-11-04USB: serial: Remove redundant license textGreg Kroah-Hartman1-4/+0
Now that the SPDX tag is in all USB files, that identifies the license in a specific and legally-defined manner. So the extra GPL text wording can be removed as it is no longer needed at all. This is done on a quest to remove the 700+ different ways that files in the kernel describe the GPL license text. And there's unneeded stuff like the address (sometimes incorrect) for the FSF which is never needed. No copyright headers or other non-license-description text was removed. 2017-11-04USB: add SPDX identifiers to all remaining files in drivers/usb/Greg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+1
It's good to have SPDX identifiers in all files to make it easier to audit the kernel tree for correct licenses. Update the drivers/usb/ and include/linux/usb* files with the correct SPDX license identifier based on the license text in the file itself. The SPDX identifier is a legally binding shorthand, which can be used instead of the full boiler plate text. 2015-10-09USB: usb_wwan/option: generalize option_send_setup for other driversDavid Ward1-35/+1
Only the option driver implements the send_setup callback; it uses the SET_CONTROL_LINE_STATE request in CDC ACM to generate DTR/RTS signals on the port. This is not driver-specific though and is needed by other drivers, so move the function to the usb_wwan driver (with formatting tweaks), and replace the callback pointer with a flag that enables the request. A closer analysis of the zte_ev setup code reveals that it consists of standard CDC requests (SET/GET_LINE_CODING and SET_CONTROL_LINE_STATE) but unfortunately fails to get some of those right. In particular, as reported by Lei Liu, it fails to lower DTR/RTS on close. It also appears that the control requests lack the interface argument. Since line control is already handled properly by the option driver, and the SET/GET_LINE_CODING requests appears to be redundant (amounts to a SET 9600 8N1) let's remove the redundant zte_ev driver. As several users have reported, the zte_ev driver is causing random disconnects as well as reconnect failures. Do not log normal interrupt-urb shutdowns as errors. The option driver has always been logging any nonzero interrupt-urb status as an error, including when the urb is killed during normal operation. Commit 9096f1fbba91 ("USB: usb_wwan: fix potential NULL-deref at resume") moved the interrupt urb submission from port probe and release to open and close, thus potentially increasing the number of these false-positive error messages dramatically.
