2021-09-22usb: phy: fsl-usb: add IRQ checkSergey Shtylyov1-0/+2
[ Upstream commit ecc2f30dbb25969908115c81ec23650ed982b004 ] The driver neglects to check the result of platform_get_irq()'s call and blithely passes the negative error codes to request_irq() (which takes *unsigned* IRQ #), causing it to fail with -EINVAL, overriding an original error code. Stop calling request_irq() with the invalid IRQ #s. 2015-01-12usb: phy: phy-fsl-usb: Remove some unused functionsRickard Strandqvist1-35/+0
Removes some functions that are not used anywhere: fsl_otg_tick_timer() view_ulpi() This was partially found by using a static code analysis program called cppcheck. Signed-off-by: Rickard Strandqvist <rickard_strandqvist@spectrumdigital.se> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
2014-11-12usb: phy: fsl: Fix build errorsFelipe Balbi1-7/+7
commit e47d925 (usb: move the OTG state from the USB PHY to the OTG structure) moved the OTG state from struct usb_phy to struct usb_otg. Unfortunately, even though I fixed quite a few build regressions with that patch already, this one was still missing. Note that this driver still has other randconfig build problems which I'll leave for driver author to fix, as that's less trivial. 2014-11-03usb: rename phy to usb_phy in OTGAntoine Tenart1-6/+7
This patch prepares the introduction of the generic PHY support in the USB OTG common functions. The USB PHY member of the OTG structure is renamed to 'usb_phy' and modifications are done in all drivers accessing it. Renaming this pointer will allow to keep the compatibility for USB PHY drivers. 2014-11-03usb: move the OTG state from the USB PHY to the OTG structureAntoine Tenart1-5/+5
Before using the PHY framework instead of the USB PHY one, we need to move the OTG state into another place, since it won't be available when USB PHY isn't used. This patch moves the OTG state into the OTG structure, and makes all the needed modifications in the drivers using the OTG state. 2014-09-24usb: hub: rename khubd to hub_wq in documentation and commentsPetr Mladek1-1/+1
USB hub has started to use a workqueue instead of kthread. Let's update the documentation and comments here and there. This patch mostly just replaces "khubd" with "hub_wq". There are only few exceptions where the whole sentence was updated. These more complicated changes can be found in the following files: Documentation/usb/hotplug.txt drivers/net/usb/usbnet.c drivers/usb/core/hcd.c drivers/usb/host/ohci-hcd.c drivers/usb/host/xhci.c Signed-off-by: Petr Mladek <pmladek@suse.cz> Acked-by: Alan Stern <stern@rowland.harvard.edu> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2014-01-09usb: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. 2013-11-26usb: phy: replace spinlock with mutex in OTG FSMAnton Tikhomirov1-4/+3
OTG Final State Machine calls functions which may sleep. For example, start_gadget callback implementation can use usb_gadget_vbus_connect(), whose context: can sleep. If so, mutex should be used instead of spinlock. Signed-off-by: Anton Tikhomirov <av.tikhomirov@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
2013-10-04usb: phy: Rename "B-device session end SRP" OTG FSM inputAnton Tikhomirov1-2/+2
In accordance with OTG and EH supplement, the correct name of the FSM input is b_ssend_srp. Signed-off-by: Anton Tikhomirov <av.tikhomirov@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
2013-10-04usb: phy: Rename OTG FSM informative variablesAnton Tikhomirov1-1/+1
Mark informative variables with suffix '_inf' to distinguish them from other non-informative variables with the same name. If such non-informative varialbes were missed, they are created. Signed-off-by: Anton Tikhomirov <av.tikhomirov@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
2013-10-04usb: phy: Fix OTG FSM timer handlingAnton Tikhomirov1-2/+58
Get rid of using OTG driver specific timers by passing timer type to corresponding callbacks. Signed-off-by: Anton Tikhomirov <av.tikhomirov@samsung.com> Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
2013-10-04usb: phy: Pass OTG FSM pointer to callback functionsAnton Tikhomirov1-15/+15
struct otg_fsm may be embedded to device's context structure. The callbacks may require pointer to struct otg_fsm to obtain necessary data for its operation (example: regulator reference for drv_vbus()). 2013-08-14Merge tag 'usb-for-v3.12' of ↵Greg Kroah-Hartman1-3/+3
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/balbi/usb into usb-next Felipe writes: usb: patches for v3.12 merge window All patches here have been pending on linux-usb and sitting in linux-next for a while now. The biggest things in this tag are: DWC3 learned proper usage of threaded IRQ handlers and now we spend very little time in hardirq context. MUSB now has proper support for BeagleBone and Beaglebone Black. Tegra's USB support also got quite a bit of love and is learning to use PHY layer and generic DT attributes. Other than that, the usual pack of cleanups and non-critical fixes follow. 2013-07-24USB: phy: remove custom DBG macroGreg Kroah-Hartman1-3/+3
Use the in-kernel pr_debug() calls instead of trying to roll your own DBG macro. This means the dynamic debugging calls now work here, and there is no dependency on CONFIG_USB_DEBUG for the phy code anymore. 2013-05-15usb: phy: Fix NULL pointer exception during usb_get_phyRobert Jarzmik1-0/+1
Upon initialisation (driver probe) a NULL pointer exception is triggered. This is due to lack of initialisation of device field in phy structure, which is used by phy framework in usb_get_phy(). 2013-03-18usb: phy: rename all phy drivers to phy-$name-usb.cFelipe Balbi1-0/+1173
this will make sure that we have sensible names for all phy drivers. Current situation was already quite bad with too generic names being used. Signed-off-by: Felipe Balbi <balbi@ti.com>
