git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/aegl/linux Pull miscellaneous Itanium patches from Tony Luck. The conflicts in arch/ia64/hp/sim/simserial.c were due to patches to simserial that had alredy been included (with lots of further cleanups) in the serial tree. * tag 'ia64-for-linus' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/aegl/linux: Documentation/kernel-parameters: remove inttest parameter [IA64] Fix ISA IRQ trigger model and polarity setting [IA64] Fix a couple of warnings for EXPORT_SYMBOL [IA64] Check return from device_register() in cx_device_register() [IA64] Fix warning from machine_kexec.c [IA64] simserial, bail out when request_irq fails [IA64] hpsim, initialize chip for assigned irqs [IA64] simserial, include some headers [IA64] hpsim, fix SAL handling in fw-emu [IA64] genirq fixup for SGI/SN [IA64] disable interrupts when exiting from ia64_mca_cmc_int_handler()
2012-02-25serial: Fix typo in sn_console.cMasanari Iida1-2/+2
Correct spelling "receieve" to "receive" in drivers/tty/serial/sn_console.c Signed-off-by: Masanari Iida <standby24x7@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-02-22[IA64] genirq fixup for SGI/SNDimitri Sivanich1-0/+1
This patch allows the system to boot and enables the console and at least some hardware drivers, as well as some platform error handling. Tested on a variety of SGI Altix system without issues. 2011-09-23TTY: irq: Remove IRQF_DISABLEDYong Zhang1-1/+1
Since commit [e58aa3d2: genirq: Run irq handlers with interrupts disabled], We run all interrupt handlers with interrupts disabled and we even check and yell when an interrupt handler returns with interrupts enabled (see commit [b738a50a: genirq: Warn when handler enables interrupts]). So now this flag is a NOOP and can be removed. Signed-off-by: Yong Zhang <yong.zhang0@gmail.com> Acked-by: Tobias Klauser <tklauser@distanz.ch> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2011-09-23TTY: serial, fix includes in some driversJiri Slaby1-0/+1
linux/tty_flip.h is included in linux/serial_core.h. But this may (and will) change in the future. Then we would get build errors such as: .../tty/serial/max3107.c: In function ‘put_data_to_circ_buf’: .../tty/serial/max3107.c:149:2: error: implicit declaration of function ‘tty_insert_flip_string’ So fix all the drviers which call tty flip buffer helpers to really include linux/tty_flip.h. And also make sure that those include linux/tty.h when operating with struct tty_struct. 2011-01-13tty: move drivers/serial/ to drivers/tty/serial/Greg Kroah-Hartman1-0/+1085
The serial drivers are really just tty drivers, so move them to drivers/tty/ to make things a bit neater overall. This is part of the tty/serial driver movement proceedure as proposed by Arnd Bergmann and approved by everyone involved a number of months ago.
