2016-06-26serial: mctrl_gpio: add modem control read routineYegor Yefremov1-1/+14
mctrl_gpio_get_outputs() returns the state of following signals: RTS, DTR While defining the routine for reading outputs, fix the comment for mctrl_gpio_get() routine as it returns only the state of the input signals. 2016-05-01serial: mctrl_gpio: Drop support for out1-gpios and out2-gpiosGeert Uytterhoeven1-2/+0
The OUT1 and OUT2 pins present on some legacy UARTs are basically GPIOs. It doesn't make much sense to emulate GPIOs using other GPIOs, hence drop support for that. 2015-10-18serial: fix mctrl helper functionsArnd Bergmann1-2/+2
A recent patch to create common helper functions for modem control lines created empty helper functions in a header file, but accidentally did not mark them as 'static inline', which causes build errors: drivers/tty/serial/mxs-auart.o: In function `mctrl_gpio_enable_ms': mxs-auart.c:(.text+0x171c): multiple definition of `mctrl_gpio_enable_ms' drivers/tty/serial/clps711x.o:clps711x.c:(.text+0x768): first defined here drivers/tty/serial/mxs-auart.o: In function `mctrl_gpio_disable_ms': mxs-auart.c:(.text+0x1720): multiple definition of `mctrl_gpio_disable_ms' drivers/tty/serial/clps711x.o:clps711x.c:(.text+0x76c): first defined here This adds the missing annotation, so the functions do not get placed in each object file. 2015-10-04serial: mctrl-gpio: rename init functionUwe Kleine-König1-2/+3
This is done before adding more functionality to the init function with the existing name. As this new functionality conflicts with stuff drivers are required to implement themselves up to I want to convert them one by one to make reviewing and reverting more easy in case I broke something. Once mctrl_gpio_init is there and all drivers are converted mctrl_gpio_init_noauto can be removed again. 2014-05-28tty/serial: Add GPIOLIB helpers for controlling modem linesRichard Genoud1-0/+110
This patch add some helpers to control modem lines (CTS/RTS/DSR...) via GPIO. This will be useful for many boards which have a serial controller that only handle CTS/RTS pins (or even just RX/TX).
