2019-08-16soc/fsl/qbman: Cleanup buffer pools if BMan was initialized prior to bootupRoy Pledge1-0/+10
Clean the BMan buffer pools if the device had been initialized previously. This will ensure a consistent state if the kernel was soft restarted (kexec for example) Signed-off-by: Roy Pledge <roy.pledge@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoyang.li@nxp.com>
2019-08-16soc/fsl/qbman: Rework QBMan private memory setupRoy Pledge1-2/+24
Rework QBMan private memory setup so that the areas are not zeroed if the device was previously initialized If the QMan private memory was already initialized skip the PFDR initialization. Signed-off-by: Roy Pledge <roy.pledge@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoyang.li@nxp.com>
2018-09-27soc: fsl: qbman: add APIs to retrieve the probing statusLaurentiu Tudor1-0/+11
Add a couple of new APIs to check the probing status of qman and bman: 'int bman_is_probed()' and 'int qman_is_probed()'. They return the following values. * 1 if qman/bman were probed correctly * 0 if qman/bman were not yet probed * -1 if probing of qman/bman failed Drivers that use qman/bman driver services are required to use these APIs before calling any functions exported by qman or bman drivers or otherwise they will crash the kernel. The APIs will be used in the following couple of qbman portal patches and later in the series in the dpaa1 ethernet driver. 2017-09-22soc/fsl/qbman: Use shared-dma-pool for BMan private memory allocationsRoy Pledge1-0/+15
Use the shared-memory-pool mechanism for free buffer proxy record area allocation. Signed-off-by: Roy Pledge <roy.pledge@nxp.com> Reviewed-by: Catalin Marinas <catalin.marinas@arm.com> Signed-off-by: Li Yang <leoyang.li@nxp.com>
2017-08-16soc: Convert to using %pOF instead of full_nameRob Herring1-5/+5
Now that we have a custom printf format specifier, convert users of full_name to use %pOF instead. This is preparation to remove storing of the full path string for each node. 2016-12-05soc/fsl/bman: Use resource_size instead of computationWei Yongjun1-2/+1
Use resource_size function on resource object instead of explicit computation. Generated by: scripts/coccinelle/api/resource_size.cocci Signed-off-by: Wei Yongjun <weiyongjun1@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Scott Wood <oss@buserror.net>
2016-09-25soc/fsl: Introduce DPAA 1.x BMan device driverClaudiu Manoil1-0/+263
This driver enables the Freescale DPAA 1.x Buffer Manager block. BMan is a hardware accelerator that manages buffer pools. It allows CPUs and other accelerators connected to the SoC datapath to acquire and release buffers during data processing.
