2011-01-13tty: move drivers/serial/ to drivers/tty/serial/Greg Kroah-Hartman1-477/+0
The serial drivers are really just tty drivers, so move them to drivers/tty/ to make things a bit neater overall. This is part of the tty/serial driver movement proceedure as proposed by Arnd Bergmann and approved by everyone involved a number of months ago. 2010-08-06of/device: Replace struct of_device with struct platform_deviceGrant Likely1-1/+1
of_device is just an alias for platform_device, so remove it entirely. Also replace to_of_device() with to_platform_device() and update comment blocks. This patch was initially generated from the following semantic patch, and then edited by hand to pick up the bits that coccinelle didn't catch. @@ @@ -struct of_device +struct platform_device Signed-off-by: Grant Likely <grant.likely@secretlab.ca> Reviewed-by: David S. 2010-05-19of: Always use 'struct device.of_node' to get device node pointer.Grant Likely1-1/+1
The following structure elements duplicate the information in 'struct device.of_node' and so are being eliminated. This patch makes all readers of these elements use device.of_node instead. 2009-09-20serial: kill off uart_infoAlan Cox1-2/+2
We moved this into uart_state, now move the fields out of the separate structure and kill it off. Signed-off-by: Alan Cox <alan@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>
2009-05-15serial/nwpserial: Fix wrong register read address and add interrupt acknowledge.Benjamin Krill1-1/+3
The receive interrupt routine checks the wrong register if the receive fifo is empty. Further an explicit interrupt acknowledge write is introduced. In some circumstances another interrupt was issued. 2009-01-08serial: Add driver for the Cell Network Processor serial port NWP deviceBenjamin Krill1-0/+475
Add support for the nwp serial device which is connected to a DCR bus. It uses the of_serial device driver to determine necessary properties from the device tree. The supported device is added as serial port number 85. NWP stands for network processor and it is part of the QPACE - Quantum Chromodynamics Parallel Computing on the Cell Broadband Engine project. The implementation is a lightweight uart implementation with the focus to consume as little resources as possible and it is connected to a DCR bus.
