2020-12-02 | scsi: csiostor: Fix fall-through warnings for Clang | Gustavo A. R. Silva | 1 | -0/+1
In preparation to enable -Wimplicit-fallthrough for Clang, fix a warning by explicitly adding a break statement instead of letting the code fall through to the next case. Replace the existing /* fall through */ comments and its variants with the new pseudo-keyword macro fallthrough[1]. Also, remove unnecessary fall-through markings when it is the case. Commit 8c0d3a02c130 ("PCI: Add accessors for PCI Express Capability") added accessors for the PCI Express Capability so that drivers didn't need to be aware of differences between v1 and v2 of the PCI Express Capability. Replace pci_read_config_word() and pci_write_config_word() calls with pcie_capability_read_word() and pcie_capability_write_word(). 2019-01-08 | cross-tree: phase out dma_zalloc_coherent() | Luis Chamberlain | 1 | -2/+2
We already need to zero out memory for dma_alloc_coherent(), as such using dma_zalloc_coherent() is superflous. Phase it out. 2018-06-13 | treewide: kzalloc() -> kcalloc() | Kees Cook | 1 | -2/+2
The kzalloc() function has a 2-factor argument form, kcalloc(). This patch replaces cases of: kzalloc(a * b, gfp) with: kcalloc(a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp) with: kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. The Coccinelle script used for this was: // Fix redundant parens around sizeof(). @@ type TYPE; expression THING, E; @@ ( kzalloc( - (sizeof(TYPE)) * E + sizeof(TYPE) * E , ...) | kzalloc( - (sizeof(THING)) * E + sizeof(THING) * E , ...) ) // Drop single-byte sizes and redundant parens. @@ expression COUNT;
