2017-12-05scsi: csiostor: remove unneeded DRIVER_LICENSE #defineGreg Kroah-Hartman1-1/+1
There is no need to #define the license of the driver, just put it in the MODULE_LICENSE() line directly as a text string. This allows tools that check that the module license matches the source code license to work properly, as there is no need to unwind the unneeded dereference, especially when the string is defined in a .h file far away from the .c file it is used in. 2015-02-18Merge branch 'debugfs_automount' of ↵Linus Torvalds1-6/+3
git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs Pull debugfs patches from Al Viro: "debugfs patches, mostly to make it possible for something like tracefs to be transparently automounted on given directory in debugfs. New primitive in there is debugfs_create_automount(name, parent, func, arg), which creates a directory and makes its ->d_automount() return func(arg). Another missing primitive was debugfs_create_file_size() - open-coded in quite a few places. Dave's patch adds it and converts the open-code instances to calling it" * 'debugfs_automount' of git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/viro/vfs: debugfs: Provide a file creation function that also takes an initial size new primitive: debugfs_create_automount() debugfs: split end_creating() into success and failure cases debugfs: take mode-dependent parts of debugfs_get_inode() into callers fold debugfs_mknod() into callers fold debugfs_create() into caller fold debugfs_mkdir() into caller debugfs_mknod(): get rid useless arguments fold debugfs_link() into caller debugfs: kill __create_file() debugfs: split the beginning and the end of __create_file() off debugfs_{mkdir,create,link}(): get rid of redundant argument
2015-02-17debugfs: Provide a file creation function that also takes an initial sizeDavid Howells1-6/+3
Provide a file creation function that also takes an initial size so that the caller doesn't have to set i_size, thus meaning that we don't have to call deal with ->d_inode in the callers. Signed-off-by: David Howells <dhowells@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Al Viro <viro@zeniv.linux.org.uk>
2015-01-19csiostor:Remove T4 FCoE Support.Praveen Madhavan1-4/+2
We found a subtle issue with FCoE on T4 very late in the game and decided not to productize FCoE on T4 and therefore there are no customers that will be impacted by this change. Hence T4 FCoE support is removed. FCoE supported only on T5 cards. changes in v2: - Make the commit message more clearer. 2014-11-25cxgb4/cxgb4vf/csiostor: Add T4/T5 PCI ID TableHariprasad Shenai1-46/+18
Add a new file t4_pci_id_tbl.h that contains T4/T5 PCI ID Table so that for all drivers that uses T4/T5 PCI functions changes can be done in one place. checkpatch.pl script reports following error, which if tried to fix ends up in compilation error. 2014-11-10cxgb4: Cleanup macros so they follow the same style and look consistentHariprasad Shenai1-3/+3
Various patches have ended up changing the style of the symbolic macros/register to different style. As a result, the current kernel.org files are a mix of different macro styles. Since this macro/register defines is used by different drivers a few patch series have ended up adding duplicate macro/register define entries with different styles. This makes these register define/macro files a complete mess and we want to make them clean and consistent. This patch cleans up a part of it. 2014-08-12PCI: Remove DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE macro useBenoit Taine1-1/+1
We should prefer `struct pci_device_id` over `DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE` to meet kernel coding style guidelines. This issue was reported by checkpatch. A simplified version of the semantic patch that makes this change is as follows (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/): // <smpl> @@ identifier i; declarer name DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE; initializer z; @@ - DEFINE_PCI_DEVICE_TABLE(i) + const struct pci_device_id i[] = z; // </smpl> [bhelgaas: add semantic patch] Signed-off-by: Benoit Taine <benoit.taine@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>
2013-10-14SCSI: remove unnecessary pci_set_drvdata()Jingoo Han1-2/+0
Since commit 0998d0631001288a5974afc0b2a5f568bcdecb4d (device-core: Ensure drvdata = NULL when no driver is bound), the driver core clears the driver data to NULL after device_release or on probe failure. Thus, it is not needed to manually clear the device driver data to NULL. 2013-01-04Drivers: scsi: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-11/+6
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.
