2017-05-09s390/qdio: increase string buffer sizeHeiko Carstens1-1/+1
Avoid false positive warnings like this with gcc 7.1: drivers/s390/cio/qdio_debug.h:63:4: note: 'snprintf' output between 8 and 17 bytes into a destination of size 16 snprintf(debug_buffer, QDIO_DBF_LEN, text); and simply increase the size of the string buffer. 2014-06-16qdio: Keep device-specific dbf entriesStefan Raspl1-1/+1
Keep the per-device dbf entries until module is removed, with proper error checking for debug feature setup. Signed-off-by: Stefan Raspl <raspl@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Reviewed-by: Steffen Maier <maier@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
2013-10-24s390/s390dbf: use debug_level_enabled() where applicableHendrik Brueckner1-7/+1
Refactor direct debug level comparisons with the (internal) s390db->level member. Use the debug_level_enabled() function instead. Signed-off-by: Hendrik Brueckner <brueckner@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
2013-02-28qdio: remove unused parametersStefan Raspl1-2/+1

2012-09-26s390/qdio: fix truncated debug output of hex valuesJan Glauber1-13/+25
Calling debug_event the s390 debug feature only logs up to buf_size bytes of the debug view. If debug_event is called with more bytes than buf_size the additional data is ignored and not logged in the debug view. Use multiple calls to debug_event if the length exceeds buf_size. 2012-07-20s390/comments: unify copyright messages and remove file namesHeiko Carstens1-2/+0
Remove the file name from the comment at top of many files. In most cases the file name was wrong anyway, so it's rather pointless. Also unify the IBM copyright statement. We did have a lot of sightly different statements and wanted to change them one after another whenever a file gets touched. However that never happened. Instead people start to take the old/"wrong" statements to use as a template for new files. So unify all of them in one go. Signed-off-by: Heiko Carstens <heiko.carstens@de.ibm.com>
2008-12-25[S390] qdio: rework debug feature loggingJan Glauber1-60/+52
- make qdio_trace a per device view - remove s390dbf exceptions - remove CONFIG_QDIO_DEBUG, not needed anymore if we check for the level before calling sprintf - use snprintf for dbf entries - add start markers to see if the dbf view wrapped - add a global error view for all queues Signed-off-by: Jan Glauber <jang@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
2008-08-21[S390] qdio: improve s390 debug feature usageJan Glauber1-3/+3
Improve s390 debug feature usage: - log busy bit in dbf - increase size of dbf views - consistent logging of qdio api calls to setup view - print subchannel number so one can associate the interface with the dbf data - only log events to one view Signed-off-by: Jan Glauber <jang@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com>
2008-07-17[S390] qdio: new qdio driver.Jan Glauber1-0/+91
List of major changes: - split qdio driver into several files - seperation of thin interrupt code - improved handling for multiple thin interrupt devices - inbound and outbound processing now always runs in tasklet context - significant less tasklet schedules per interrupt needed - merged qebsm with non-qebsm handling - cleanup qdio interface and added kerneldoc - coding style Reviewed-by: Cornelia Huck <cornelia.huck@de.ibm.com> Reviewed-by: Utz Bacher <utz.bacher@de.ibm.com> Reviewed-by: Ursula Braun <braunu@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Jan Glauber <jang@linux.vnet.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Martin Schwidefsky <schwidefsky@de.ibm.com> Signed-off-by: Heiko Carstens <heiko.carstens@de.ibm.com>
