2018-08-27rtc: rtc-mrst: Replace mdelay() with msleep() in mrst_read_time()Jia-Ju Bai1-1/+1
mrst_read_time() is never called in atomic context. It calls mdelay() to busily wait, which is not necessary. mdelay() can be replaced with msleep(). This is found by a static analysis tool named DCNS written by myself. Signed-off-by: Jia-Ju Bai <baijiaju1990@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Alexandre Belloni <alexandre.belloni@bootlin.com>

2016-07-09rtc: simplify implementations of read_alarmUwe Kleine-König1-8/+0

2016-06-04char/genrtc: x86: remove remnants of asm/rtc.hArnd Bergmann1-1/+1
Commit 3195ef59cb42 ("x86: Do full rtc synchronization with ntp") had the side-effect of unconditionally enabling the RTC_LIB symbol on x86, which in turn disables the selection of the CONFIG_RTC and CONFIG_GEN_RTC drivers that contain a two older implementations of the CONFIG_RTC_DRV_CMOS driver. This removes x86 from the list for genrtc, and changes all references to the asm/rtc.h header to instead point to the interfaces from linux/mc146818rtc.h. 2015-03-26drivers/rtc/rtc-mrst: fix suspend/resumeLars-Peter Clausen1-8/+9
The Moorestown RTC driver implements suspend and resume callbacks and assigns them to the suspend and resume fields of the device_driver struct. Following files contains code that is common to all intel mid soc's. So renamed them as below. mrst/mrst.c -> intel-mid/intel-mid.c mrst/vrtc.c -> intel-mid/intel_mid_vrtc.c mrst/early_printk_mrst.c -> intel-mid/intel_mid_vrtc.c pci/mrst.c -> pci/intel_mid_pci.c Also, renamed the corresponding header files and made changes to the driver files that included these header files. 2013-01-04Drivers: rtc: remove __dev* attributes.Greg Kroah-Hartman1-6/+6
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev* markings need to be removed. This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers. Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand. 2012-03-24drivers/rtc: remove IRQF_DISABLEDYong Zhang1-1/+1
Since commit e58aa3d2d0cc ("genirq: run irq handlers with interrupts disabled") we run all interrupt handlers with interrupts disabled and we even check and yell when an interrupt handler returns with interrupts enabled - see commit b738a50a2026 ("genirq: warn when handler enables interrupts"). 2011-11-12vrtc: change its year offset from 1960 to 1972Feng Tang1-8/+11
Real world year equals the value in vrtc YEAR register plus an offset. We used 1960 as the offset to make leap year consistent, but for a device's first use, its YEAR register is 0 and the system year will be parsed as 1960 which is not a valid UNIX time and will cause many applications to fail mysteriously. So we use 1972 instead to fix this issue. Updated patch which adds a sanity check suggested by Mathias This isn't a change in behaviour for systems, because 1972 is the one we actually use. It's the old version in upstream which is out of sync with all devices. 2011-04-07rtc, x86/mrst/vrtc: Fix boot crash in rtc_read_alarm()Feng Tang1-3/+4
Commit f44f7f96a20 ("RTC: Initialize kernel state from RTC") caused a boot regression on the MRST platform. The reason is that rtc_device_register() calls rtc_read_alarm() after that change, which function does not have all driver data set up yet. The rtc-mrst driver needs to call dev_set_drvdata() before rtc_device_register() gets called. 2011-02-04RTC: Convert rtc drivers to use the alarm_irq_enable methodJohn Stultz1-26/+5
Some rtc drivers use the ioctl method instead of the alarm_irq_enable method for enabling alarm interupts. With the new virtualized RTC rework, its important for drivers to use the alarm_irq_enable instead. This patch converts the drivers that use the AIE ioctl method to use the alarm_irq_enable method. Other ioctl cmds are left untouched. I have not been able to test or even compile most of these drivers. Any help to make sure this change is correct would be appreciated!
