2006-06-21[PATCH] PCI: fix race with pci_walk_bus and pci_destroy_devZhang Yanmin1-16/+16
pci_walk_bus has a race with pci_destroy_dev. When cb is called in pci_walk_bus, pci_destroy_dev might unlink the dev pointed by next. Later on in the next loop, pointer next becomes NULL and cause kernel panic. Below patch against 2.6.17-rc4 fixes it by changing pci_bus_lock (spin_lock) to pci_bus_sem (rw_semaphore). 2006-03-24[PATCH] PCI: Move pci_dev_put outside a spinlockAlan Stern1-2/+2
This patch (as659) fixes a might_sleep problem in the PCI core, by moving a call to pci_dev_put() outside the scope of a spinlock. Signed-off-by: Alan Stern <stern@rowland.harvard.edu> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@suse.de>

Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
