2017-08-30PCI: layerscape: Add support for ls1088aHou Zhiqiang1-0/+1
Add support for ls1088a. Signed-off-by: Hou Zhiqiang <Zhiqiang.Hou@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com> Acked-by: Minghuan Lian <minghuan.Lian@nxp.com>
2017-08-30PCI: layerscape: Add support for ls2088aHou Zhiqiang1-0/+9
The ls2088a PCIe controller's register addresses are different from ls2080a, so add a match entry to identify ls2088a PCIe. Signed-off-by: Hou Zhiqiang <Zhiqiang.Hou@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com> Acked-by: Minghuan Lian <minghuan.Lian@nxp.com>
2017-08-30PCI: layerscape: Remove unnecessary class code fixupHou Zhiqiang1-9/+0
Now that the Class Code fixup in dw_pcie_setup_rc() works, remove the fixup from the Layerscape driver. Signed-off-by: Hou Zhiqiang <Zhiqiang.Hou@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com> Acked-by: Roy Zang <tie-fei.zang@freescale.com>
2017-08-30PCI: dwc: Add accessors for write permission of DBI read-only registersHou Zhiqiang1-3/+2
The read-only DBI registers can be written only when the "Write to RO Registers Using DBI" (DBI_RO_WR_EN) field of MISC_CONTROL_1_OFF is set. Add accessors to enable and disable write permission, and use them instead of accessing MISC_CONTROL_1_OFF directly. 2017-08-30PCI: layerscape: Disable outbound windows configured by bootloaderHou Zhiqiang1-0/+17
Disable all the outbound windows to avoid one transaction hitting multiple outbound windows. dw_pcie_setup_rc() will reconfigure the outbound windows, which may conflict with windows configured by the bootloader. 2017-08-30PCI: layerscape: Refactor ls1021_pcie_host_init()Hou Zhiqiang1-10/+1
ls1021_pcie_host_init() duplicated the code in the generic ls_pcie_host_init(). Call ls_pcie_host_init() instead of duplicating the code. Signed-off-by: Hou Zhiqiang <Zhiqiang.Hou@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com> Acked-by: Roy Zang <tie-fei.zang@freescale.com>
2017-08-29PCI: layerscape: Move generic init functions earlier in fileHou Zhiqiang1-32/+32
We will use the generic ls_pcie_link_up() and ls_pcie_host_init() from device-specific routines. Move the generic functions earlier in the file so we won't need forward declarations. This is strictly a code move with no functional change intended. 2017-08-29PCI: layerscape: Add class code and multifunction fixups for ls1021aHou Zhiqiang1-0/+5
The current code depends on class code and multifunction fixups done by the bootloader. Perform these fixups in ls1021_pcie_host_init() to remove this dependency. 2017-08-29PCI: layerscape: Move STRFMR1 access out from the DBI write-enable bracketHou Zhiqiang1-1/+2
The STRFMR1 is not a DBI read-only register, so move it out from the write-enable bracket. Signed-off-by: Hou Zhiqiang <Zhiqiang.Hou@nxp.com> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com> Acked-by: Roy Zang <tie-fei.zang@freescale.com>
2017-08-29PCI: layerscape: Call dw_pcie_setup_rc() from ls_pcie_host_init()Hou Zhiqiang1-0/+2
We called dw_pcie_setup_rc() from the ls1021a host init function, but not from the common ls_pcie_host_init() function, so platforms other than ls1021a still depended on initialization by the bootloader. Call dw_pcie_setup_rc() from ls_pcie_host_init() to reduce dependencies on the bootloader. 2017-08-04PCI: dwc: designware: Handle ->host_init() failuresBjorn Andersson1-4/+10
In several dwc-based drivers, ->host_init() can fail, so make sure to propagate and handle this to avoid continuing operation of a driver or hardware in an invalid state. 2017-04-28PCI: Don't allow unbinding host controllers that aren't preparedBrian Norris1-0/+1
Many PCI host controller drivers aren't prepared to have their devices unbound from them forcefully (e.g., through /sys/.../<driver>/unbind), as they don't provide any driver .remove callback, where they'd detach the root bus, release resources, etc. Keeping the driver built in (i.e., not a loadable module) is not enough; and providing no .remove callback just means we don't do any teardown. To rule out the possibility of unbinding a device via sysfs, we need to set the ".suppress_bind_attrs" field. I found the suspect drivers via the following search: git grep -l platform_driver $(git grep -L -e '\.remove' -e suppress_bind_attrs drivers/pci/) Then I inspected them to ensure that (a) they set up a PCI bus in their probe() and (b) they don't have a remove() callback for undoing the setup Suggested-by: Bjorn Helgaas <helgaas@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <briannorris@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Bjorn Helgaas <bhelgaas@google.com>
2017-04-24PCI: layerscape: Update PCI config space remap functionLorenzo Pieralisi1-1/+1
PCI configuration space should be mapped with a memory region type that generates on the CPU host bus non-posted write transations. Update the driver to use the devm_pci_remap_cfg* interface to make sure the correct memory mappings for PCI configuration space are used. 2017-02-25PCI: dwc: Fix crashes seen due to missing assignmentsGuenter Roeck1-0/+2
Fix the following crash, seen in dwc/pci-imx6. Unable to handle kernel NULL pointer dereference at virtual address 00000070 pgd = c0004000 [00000070] *pgd=00000000 Internal error: Oops: 805 [#1] SMP ARM Modules linked in: CPU: 0 PID: 1 Comm: swapper/0 Not tainted 4.10.0-09686-g9e31489 #1 Hardware name: Freescale i.MX6 Quad/DualLite (Device Tree) task: cb850000 task.stack: cb84e000 PC is at imx6_pcie_probe+0x2f4/0x414 ... While at it, fix the same problem in various drivers instead of waiting for individual crash reports. The change in the imx6 driver was tested with qemu. The changes in other drivers are based on code inspection and have been compile tested only. 2017-02-22PCI: dwc: all: Split struct pcie_port into host-only and core structuresKishon Vijay Abraham I1-32/+59
Keep only the host-specific members in struct pcie_port and move the common members (i.e common to both host and endpoint) to struct dw_pcie. This is in preparation for adding endpoint mode support to designware driver. While at that also fix checkpatch warnings. 2017-02-22PCI: dwc: all: Use platform_set_drvdata() to save private dataKishon Vijay Abraham I1-0/+2
Add platform_set_drvdata() in all designware-based drivers to store the private data structure of the driver so that dev_set_drvdata() can be used to get back private data structure in add_pcie_port/host_init. This is in preparation for splitting struct pcie_port into core and host only structures. After the split pcie_port will not be part of the driver's private data structure and *container_of* used now to get the private data pointer cannot be used. 2017-02-21PCI: Move DesignWare IP support to new drivers/pci/dwc/ directoryKishon Vijay Abraham I1-0/+284
Group all the PCI drivers that use DesignWare core in dwc directory. dwc IP is capable of operating in both host mode and device mode and keeping it inside the *host* directory is misleading.
