The code to send the RX PN data (for each TID) to the firmware
has a devastating bug: it overwrites the data for TID 0 with
all the TID data, leaving the remaining TIDs zeroed. This will
allow replays to actually be accepted by the firmware, which
could allow waking up the system.

We should always prefer to use full RTS protection. Using
CTS to self gives a meaningless improvement, but this flow
is much harder for the firmware which is likely to have
issues with it.

Only the first packet is currently handled correctly, but then
all others are assumed to have failed which is problematic. Fix
this, marking them all successful instead (since if they're not
then the firmware will have transmitted them as single frames.)
This fixes the lost packet reporting.
Also do a tiny variable scoping cleanup.

This is because we nulify ctx->vif in iwlagn_mac_remove_interface()
before calling some other functions that teardown interface. To fix
just check ctx->vif on iwl_chswitch_done(). We should not call
ieee80211_chswitch_done() as channel switch works were already canceled
by mac80211 in ieee80211_do_stop() -> ieee80211_mgd_stop().

The BT_CONFIG command that is sent to the device during
startup will enable BT coex unless the module parameter
turns it off, but on devices without Bluetooth this may
cause problems, as reported in Redhat BZ 885407.
Fix this by sending the BT_CONFIG command only when the
device has Bluetooth.

When the stations are being restored because of unassoc
RXON, the LQ cmd may not have been initialized because it
is initialized only after association.
Sending zeroed LQ_CMD makes the fw unhappy: it raises
SYSASSERT_2078.

The FH hardware will always write back to the scratch field
in commands, even host commands not just TX commands, which
can overwrite parts of the command. This is problematic if
the command is re-used (with IWL_HCMD_DFL_NOCOPY) and can
cause calibration issues.
Address this problem by always putting at least the first
16 bytes into the buffer we also use for the command header
and therefore make the DMA engine write back into this.
For commands that are smaller than 16 bytes also always map
enough memory for the DMA engine to write back to.

This can lead to a panic if the driver isn't ready to
handle them. Since our interrupt line is shared, we can get
an interrupt at any time (and CONFIG_DEBUG_SHIRQ checks
that even when the interrupt is being freed).
If the op_mode has gone away, we musn't call it. To avoid
this the transport disables the interrupts when the hw is
stopped and the op_mode is leaving.
If there is an event that would cause an interrupt the INTA
register is updated regardless of the enablement of the
interrupts: even if the interrupts are disabled, the INTA
will be changed, but the device won't issue an interrupt.
But the ISR can be called at any time, so we ought ignore
the value in the INTA otherwise we can call the op_mode
after it was freed.
I found this bug when the op_mode_start failed, and called
iwl_trans_stop_hw(trans, true). Then I played with the
RFKILL button, and removed the module.
While removing the module, the IRQ is freed, and the ISR is
called (CONFIG_DEBUG_SHIRQ enabled). Panic.

The channel switch command for 6000 series devices
is larger than the maximum inline command size of
320 bytes. The command is therefore refused with a
warning. Fix this by allocating the command and
using the NOCOPY mechanism.

iwl_dbgfs_fh_reg_read() can cause crashes and/or
BUG_ON in slub because the ifdefs are wrong, the
code in iwl_dump_fh() should use DEBUGFS, not
DEBUG to protect the buffer writing code.
Also, while at it, clean up the arguments to the
function, some code and make it generally safer.

There's a bug that causes the rate scaling to get stuck
when it has to use single-stream rates with a peer that
can do GF and SGI; the two are incompatible so we can't
use them together, but that causes the algorithm to not
work at all, it always rejects updates.
Disable greenfield for now to prevent that problem.

When debugging is disabled, the event log functions aren't
functional in the way that the debugfs file expects. This
leads to the debugfs access crashing. Since the event log
functions aren't functional then, remove the debugfs file
when CONFIG_IWLWIFI_DEBUG is not set.

did not correctly report supported firmware
for the 6035 device. This patch fixes it. The
minimum supported firmware version for 6035
is v6.
Also correct the minimum supported firmware
version for the 6000g2 series of devices.

If CONFIG_PM_SLEEP is disabled, then iwlwifi doesn't
support suspend/resume handlers and thus mac80211
(correctly) refuses advertising WoWLAN. Disable
WoWLAN in the driver in this case.

When we remove a key, we put a key index which was supposed
to tell the fw that we are actually removing the key. But
instead the fw took that index as a valid index and messed
up the SRAM of the device.
This memory corruption on the device mangled the data of
the SCD. The impact on the user is that SCD queue 2 got
stuck after having removed keys.
The message is the log that was printed is:
Queue 2 stuck for 10000ms
This doesn't seem to fix the higher queues that get stuck
from time to time.

Shadow registers in the device are meant to
allow the driver to update certain device
registers without needing to wake up all
components of the device. However, using
this feature in the device causes
communication between the driver and the
device to become unreliable, resulting in
host command timeouts.
Disable this feature by default till a fix is
available for the bug.

When BT traffic load changes from its
previous state, a new LQ command needs to be
sent down to the firmware. This needs to
be done only once per change. The state
variable that keeps track of this change is
last_bt_traffic_load. However, it was not
being updated when the change had been
handled. Not updating this variable was
causing a flood of advanced BT config
commands to be sent to the firmware. Fix
this.

Newer devices have 20 (5000 series) or 30 (6000 series)
hardware queues, rather than the 16 that 4965 had. This
was added to the driver a long time ago, but improperly:
the queue registers for the higher queues aren't just
continuations of the registers for the first 16 queues,
they are in other places. Therefore, the hardware would
lock up when trying to activate queue 16 or above and
the device would have to be restarted.
Thanks goes to Emmanuel who identified this and told me
how the queue programming should be done.
Note that we don't use queues 20 and higher today and
doing so needs more work than this.

ctx->vif is dereferenced in different part of iwlwifi code, so do not
nullify it.
This should address at least one of the possible reasons of WARNING at

If we only monitor while associated, the following
can happen:
- we're associated, and the queue stuck check
runs, setting the queue "touch" time to X
- we disassociate, stopping the monitoring,
which leaves the time set to X
- almost 2s later, we associate, and enqueue
a frame
- before the frame is transmitted, we monitor
for stuck queues, and find the time set to
X, although it is now later than X + 2000ms,
so we decide that the queue is stuck and
erroneously restart the device
It happens more with P2P because there we can
go between associated/unassociated frequently.

When trying to remove a key, we always send key
flags just setting the key type, not including
the multicast flag and the key ID. As a result,
whenever any key was removed, the unicast key 0
would be removed, causing a complete connection
loss after the second rekey (the first doesn't
cause a key removal). Fix the key removal code
to include the key ID and multicast flag, thus
removing the correct key.

When an interrupt comes in, we read the reason
bits and collect them into "trans_pcie->inta".
This happens with the spinlock held. However,
there's a bug resetting this variable -- that
happens after the spinlock has been released.
This means that it is possible for interrupts
to be missed if the reset happens after some
other interrupt reasons were already added to
the variable.
I found this by code inspection, looking for a
reason that we sometimes see random commands
time out. It seems possible that this causes
such behaviour, but I can't say for sure right
now since it happens extremely infrequently on
my test systems.

The ICT code erroneously uses PAGE_SIZE. The bug
is that PAGE_SIZE isn't necessarily 4096, so on
such platforms this code will not work correctly
as we'll try to attempt to read an index in the
table that the device never wrote, it always has
4096-byte pages.
Additionally, the manual alignment code here is
unnecessary -- Documentation/DMA-API-HOWTO.txt
states:
The cpu return address and the DMA bus master address are both
guaranteed to be aligned to the smallest PAGE_SIZE order which
is greater than or equal to the requested size. This invariant
exists (for example) to guarantee that if you allocate a chunk
which is smaller than or equal to 64 kilobytes, the extent of the
buffer you receive will not cross a 64K boundary.
Just use appropriate new constants and get rid of
the alignment code.

The driver everywhere uses max TID count as 9,
which is wrong, it should be 8.
I think the reason it uses 9 here is off-by-one
confusion by whoever wrote this. We do use the
value IWL_MAX_TID_COUNT for "not QoS/no TID"
but that is completely correct even if it is 8
and not 9 since 0-7 are only valid.
As a side effect, this fixes the following bug:

Since we configure all the queues as CHAINABLE, we need to update the
byte count for all the queues, not only the AGGREGATABLE ones.
Not doing so can confuse the SCD and make the fw assert.

Check the IEEE80211_TX_CTL_ASSIGN_SEQ flag from mac80211, then decide how to
set the TX_CMD_FLG_SEQ_CTL_MSK bit. Setting the wrong bit in BAR frame whill
make the firmware to increment the sequence number which is incorrect and
cause unknown behavior.

The current default watchdog timer is enabled, but we are seeing issues on
legacy devices. So change the default setting of watchdog timer to per
device based. But user still can use the "wd_disable" module parameter
to overwrite the system setting
