2021-10-22iwlwifi: remove contact informationJohannes Berg1-4/+0
The list address is going away, and the postal address isn't useful, remove all the contact information. 2019-02-20iwlwifi: dvm: no need to check return value of debugfs_create functionsGreg Kroah-Hartman1-40/+4
When calling debugfs functions, there is no need to ever check the return value. The function can work or not, but the code logic should never do something different based on this. 2019-02-04iwlwifi: dvm: use %u for sscanf() into unsigned variableJohannes Berg1-1/+2
Use %u instead of using %d which looks signed but then won't get signed output if using an unsigned variable. It doesn't matter much, but be consistent. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2018-08-31iwlwifi: remove all occurrences of the FSF address paragraphLuca Coelho1-5/+0
The Free Software Foundation address is superfluous and causes checkpatch to issue a warning when present. Remove all paragraphs with FSF's address to prevent that. Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2018-03-27wireless: Use octal not symbolic permissionsJoe Perches1-40/+38
Prefer the direct use of octal for permissions. Done with checkpatch -f --types=SYMBOLIC_PERMS --fix-inplace and some typing. Miscellanea: o Whitespace neatening around these conversions. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
2017-06-29iwlwifi: unify external & internal modparam namesJohannes Berg1-3/+3
Where possible (all except for "11n_disable", which isn't valid in C) rename the internal names for module parameters to be the same as the externally visible names, to aid finding their use etc. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-06-29iwlwifi: dvm: use macros for format stringsJohannes Berg1-5/+4
Some static checkers (e.g. smatch) complain if a non-constant format string is used, even if that's a static const variable. Since there's no impact on code generation, just change those format strings to be macros. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Luca Coelho <luciano.coelho@intel.com>
2017-01-26iwlwifi: dvm: remove unused variable compiler warning in debugfs.cLuca Coelho1-1/+1
When compiling with W=1, we get the following warning in debugfs.c: /home/luca/iwlwifi/stack-dev/drivers/net/wireless/intel/iwlwifi/dvm/debugfs.c: In function ‘iwl_dbgfs_fw_restart_write’: /home/luca/iwlwifi/stack-dev/drivers/net/wireless/intel/iwlwifi/dvm/debugfs.c:2313:6: warning: variable ‘ret’ set but not used [-Wunused-but-set-variable] int ret; ^ Fix it by ignoring the return value in this case. 2016-04-12cfg80211: remove enum ieee80211_bandJohannes Berg1-2/+2
This enum is already perfectly aliased to enum nl80211_band, and the only reason for it is that we get IEEE80211_NUM_BANDS out of it. There's no really good reason to not declare the number of bands in nl80211 though, so do that and remove the cfg80211 one. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
