2020-10-29brcmsmac: fix memory leak in wlc_phy_attach_lcnphyKeita Suzuki1-1/+3
[ Upstream commit f4443293d741d1776b86ed1dd8c4e4285d0775fc ] When wlc_phy_txpwr_srom_read_lcnphy fails in wlc_phy_attach_lcnphy, the allocated pi->u.pi_lcnphy is leaked, since struct brcms_phy will be freed in the caller function. Fix this by calling wlc_phy_detach_lcnphy in the error handler of wlc_phy_txpwr_srom_read_lcnphy before returning. 2020-05-10brcmfmac: restore stopping netdev queue when bus clogs upArend Van Spriel1-5/+17

When the host-interface bus has hard time handling transmit packets it informs higher layer about this and it would stop the netdev queue when needed. However, since commit 9cd18359d31e ("brcmfmac: Make FWS queueing configurable.") this was broken. With this patch the behaviour is restored. A regression was introduced in commit 9c349892ccc9 ("brcmfmac: revise handling events in receive path") which moves eth_type_trans() call to brcmf_rx_frame(). Msgbuf layer doesn't use brcmf_rx_frame() but invokes brcmf_netif_rx() directly. In such case the Ethernet header was not stripped out resulting in null pointer dereference in the networking stack. 2020-02-05brcmfmac: fix interface sanity checkJohan Hovold1-2/+2

Failing to do so could cause the driver to misbehave or trigger a WARN() in usb_submit_urb() that kernels with panic_on_warn set would choke on. This is not compliant with power-saving client stations as the beacons do not have valid TIM and can cause the network to stall at random occasions and to have highly variable latencies. 2019-11-25brcmfmac: fix full timeout waiting for action frame on-channel txChung-Hsien Hsu2-2/+17
[ Upstream commit fbf07000960d9c8a13fdc17c6de0230d681c7543 ] The driver sends an action frame down and waits for a completion signal triggered by the received BRCMF_E_ACTION_FRAME_OFF_CHAN_COMPLETE event to continue the process. However, the action frame could be transmitted either on the current channel or on an off channel. For the on-channel case, only BRCMF_E_ACTION_FRAME_COMPLETE event will be received when the frame is transmitted, which make the driver always wait a full timeout duration. This patch has the completion signal be triggered by receiving the BRCMF_E_ACTION_FRAME_COMPLETE event for the on-channel case. This change fixes WFA p2p certification 5.1.19 failure. 2019-06-11brcmfmac: add subtype check for event handling in data pathArend van Spriel3-7/+16

In order to detect mock event messages an additional check is needed on event subtype. This check is added conditionally using unlikely() keyword. 2019-06-11brcmfmac: fix incorrect event channel deductionGavin Li1-1/+1
commit 8e290cecdd0178f3d4cf7d463c51dc7e462843b4 upstream. brcmf_sdio_fromevntchan() was being called on the the data frame rather than the software header, causing some frames to be mischaracterized as on the event channel rather than the data channel. This fixes a major performance regression (due to dropped packets). With this patch the download speed jumped from 1Mbit/s back up to 40MBit/s due to the sheer amount of packets being incorrectly processed. 2019-06-11brcmfmac: screening firmware event packetFranky Lin6-39/+90
commit c56caa9db8abbbfb9e31325e0897705aa897db37 upstream. Firmware uses asynchronized events as a communication method to the host. The event packets are marked as ETH_P_LINK_CTL protocol type. For SDIO and PCIe bus, this kind of packets are delivered through virtual event channel not data channel. This patch adds a screening logic to make sure the event handler only processes the events coming from the correct channel. During the debugging it appeared that in brcmf_usb_free_q() the traversal over URBs' lists is not synchronized with operations on those lists in brcmf_usb_rx_complete() leading to handling brcmf_usbdev_info structure (holding lists' head) as lists' element and in result causing above problem. Fix it by walking through all URBs during brcmf_cancel_all_urbs using the arrays of requests instead of linked lists. 2019-06-11brcm80211: potential NULL dereference in brcmf_cfg80211_vndr_cmds_dcmd_handler()Dan Carpenter1-2/+3
[ Upstream commit e025da3d7aa4770bb1d1b3b0aa7cc4da1744852d ] If "ret_len" is negative then it could lead to a NULL dereference. The "ret_len" value comes from nl80211_vendor_cmd(), if it's negative then we don't allocate the "dcmd_buf" buffer. Then we pass "ret_len" to brcmf_fil_cmd_data_set() where it is cast to a very high u32 value. Most of the functions in that call tree check whether the buffer we pass is NULL but there are at least a couple places which don't such as brcmf_dbg_hex_dump() and brcmf_msgbuf_query_dcmd(). We memcpy() to and from the buffer so it would result in a NULL dereference. The fix is to change the types so that "ret_len" can't be negative. (If we memcpy() zero bytes to NULL, that's a no-op and doesn't cause an issue). [ Upstream commit 9c4a121e82634aa000a702c98cd6f05b27d6e186 ] Add support for the BCM43364 chipset via an SDIO interface, as used in e.g. the Murata 1FX module. The BCM43364 uses the same firmware as the BCM43430 (which is already included), the only difference is the omission of Bluetooth. However, the SDIO_ID for the BCM43364 is 02D0:A9A4, giving it a MODALIAS of sdio:c00v02D0dA9A4, which doesn't get recognised and hence doesn't load the brcmfmac module. Adding the 'A9A4' ID in the appropriate place triggers the brcmfmac driver to load, and then correctly use the firmware file 'brcmfmac43430-sdio.bin'. When not specified by user-space, the driver generates the MAC address for the P2P_DEVICE interface using the MAC address of the primary interface and setting the locally administered bit. However, the MAC address of the primary interface may already have that bit set causing the creation of the P2P_DEVICE interface to fail with -EBUSY. Fix this by using a random address instead to determine the P2P_DEVICE address. However, this may affect other interfaces running in INFRA mode. For instance, if user creates and stops hostap daemon on virtual interface, then association cannot work on primary interface because default BSS has been set to IBSS mode in firmware side. The IBSS mode should be set when cfg80211 changes the interface. commit 8f44c9a41386729fea410e688959ddaa9d51be7c upstream. The lower level nl80211 code in cfg80211 ensures that "len" is between 25 and NL80211_ATTR_FRAME (2304). We subtract DOT11_MGMT_HDR_LEN (24) from "len" so thats's max of 2280. However, the action_frame->data[] buffer is only BRCMF_FIL_ACTION_FRAME_SIZE (1800) bytes long so this memcpy() can overflow. memcpy(action_frame->data, &buf[DOT11_MGMT_HDR_LEN], le16_to_cpu(action_frame->len)); Fixes: 18e2f61db3b70 ("brcmfmac: P2P action frame tx.") Drivers that manage the reorder buffer need to know this parameter. Seeing that there are now too many arguments for the drv_ampdu_action() function, wrap them inside a structure. When doing so it can provide SSID IE with length exceeding the allowed size. The driver further processes this IE copying it into a local variable without checking the length. Hence stack can be corrupted and used as exploit. Txrate and rxrate in get_station got assigned first with value in kbps and then divided by 100 to get it in 100kbps unit. The problem with that is that type of rate is u16 which resulted in incorrect values for high data rate values.
