2021-03-17module: remove never implemented MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICELeon Romanovsky1-1/+0
MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICE was added in pre-git era and never was implemented. We can safely remove it, because the kernel has grown to have many more reliable mechanisms to determine if device is supported or not. 2020-08-27atmel: Use fallthrough pseudo-keywordGustavo A. R. Silva1-1/+1
Replace the existing /* fall through */ comments and its variants with the new pseudo-keyword macro fallthrough[1]. 2018-07-31atmel: Replace mdelay() with msleep() in probe_atmel_card()Jia-Ju Bai1-1/+1
probe_atmel_card() is never called in atomic context. It calls mdelay() to busily wait, which is not necessary. mdelay() can be replaced with msleep(). This is found by a static analysis tool named DCNS written by myself. Signed-off-by: Jia-Ju Bai <baijiaju1990@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
2018-07-31atmel: hide unused procfs helpersYueHaibing1-0/+2
When CONFIG_PROC_FS isn't set, gcc warning this: drivers/net/wireless/atmel/atmel.c:1402:12: warning: ‘atmel_proc_show’ defined but not used [-Wunused-function] static int atmel_proc_show(struct seq_file *m, void *v) ^ fix this by adding #ifdef around it. 2018-07-04atmel: using strlcpy() to avoid possible buffer overflowsYueHaibing1-2/+1
'firmware' is a module param which may been longer than firmware_id, so using strlcpy() to guard against overflows. Also priv is allocated with zeroed memory,no need to set firmware_id[0] to '\0'. Signed-off-by: YueHaibing <yuehaibing@huawei.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>

2018-05-16proc: introduce proc_create_single{,_data}Christoph Hellwig1-13/+2
Variants of proc_create{,_data} that directly take a seq_file show callback and drastically reduces the boilerplate code in the callers. All trivial callers converted over. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>

2017-10-27atmel: Convert timers to use timer_setup()Kees Cook1-6/+4
In preparation for unconditionally passing the struct timer_list pointer to all timer callbacks, switch to using the new timer_setup() and from_timer() to pass the timer pointer explicitly. 2017-06-16networking: introduce and use skb_put_data()Johannes Berg1-3/+2
A common pattern with skb_put() is to just want to memcpy() some data into the new space, introduce skb_put_data() for this. An spatch similar to the one for skb_put_zero() converts many of the places using it: @@ identifier p, p2; expression len, skb, data; type t, t2; @@ ( -p = skb_put(skb, len); +p = skb_put_data(skb, data, len); | -p = (t)skb_put(skb, len); +p = skb_put_data(skb, data, len); ) ( p2 = (t2)p; -memcpy(p2, data, len); | -memcpy(p, data, len); ) @@ type t, t2; identifier p, p2; expression skb, data; @@ t *p; ... ( -p = skb_put(skb, sizeof(t)); +p = skb_put_data(skb, data, sizeof(t)); | -p = (t *)skb_put(skb, sizeof(t)); +p = skb_put_data(skb, data, sizeof(t)); ) ( p2 = (t2)p; -memcpy(p2, data, sizeof(*p)); | -memcpy(p, data, sizeof(*p)); ) @@ expression skb, len, data; @@ -memcpy(skb_put(skb, len), data, len); +skb_put_data(skb, data, len); (again, manually post-processed to retain some comments) Reviewed-by: Stephen Hemminger <stephen@networkplumber.org> Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2016-05-11atmel: potential underflow in atmel_set_freq()Dan Carpenter1-1/+1
Smatch complains that we cap the upper bound of "fwrq->m" but not the lower bound. I don't know if it can actually happen but it's simple enough to check for negatives. Signed-off-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Kalle Valo <kvalo@codeaurora.org>
2016-04-12cfg80211: remove enum ieee80211_bandJohannes Berg1-1/+1
This enum is already perfectly aliased to enum nl80211_band, and the only reason for it is that we get IEEE80211_NUM_BANDS out of it. There's no really good reason to not declare the number of bands in nl80211 though, so do that and remove the cfg80211 one. Signed-off-by: Johannes Berg <johannes.berg@intel.com>
