2008-07-30Ath5k: fix memory corruptionJiri Slaby1-1/+1
When signal is noisy, hardware can use all RX buffers and since the last entry in the list is self-linked, it overwrites the entry until we link new buffers. Ensure that we don't free this last one until we are 100% sure that it is not used by the hardware anymore to not cause memory curruption as can be seen below. This is done by checking next buffer in the list. Even after that we know that the hardware refetched the new link and proceeded further (the next buffer is ready) we can finally free the overwritten buffer. 2008-05-22mac80211: move TX info into skb->cbJohannes Berg1-1/+0
This patch converts mac80211 and all drivers to have transmit information and status in skb->cb rather than allocating extra memory for it and copying all the data around. To make it fit, a union is used where only data that is necessary for all steps is kept outside of the union. A number of fixes were done by Ivo, as well as the rt2x00 part of this patch. This patch finishes the port and enables debug as an build option. This was tested on: Atheros AR5213A chip found (MAC: 0x59, PHY: 0x43) RF5112A multiband radio found (0x36) Note: For 2 GHz band on the above card I noticed we get negative channel numbers. Will look into this unless someone beats me to it. 2008-01-29ath5k: use SWBA to detect IBSS HW mergesBruno Randolf1-0/+1

2008-01-29mac80211: dont use interface indices in driversJohannes Berg1-1/+1
This patch gets rid of the if_id stuff where possible in favour of a new per-virtual-interface structure "struct ieee80211_vif". This structure is located at the end of the per-interface structure and contains a variable length driver-use data area.
