2007-12-02LIB82596: correct data types for hardware addressesThomas Bogendoerfer1-25/+25
dma_addr_t is 64bit wide on some architectures (for example 64bit MIPS), so it's not a good idea to use it for 32bit wide addresses in descriptors. Signed-off-by: Thomas Bogendoerfer <tsbogend@alpha.franken.de> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
2007-10-24[NETDRVR] lib82596, netxen: delete pointless tests from irq handlerJeff Garzik1-7/+1
Remove always-false tests in irq handler. Also a few other minor cleanups. Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jgarzik@redhat.com>
2007-10-11[NET]: Introduce and use print_mac() and DECLARE_MAC_BUF()Joe Perches1-10/+8
This is nicer than the MAC_FMT stuff. Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2007-10-11[NET] drivers/net: statistics cleanup #1 -- save memory and shrink codeJeff Garzik1-37/+27
We now have struct net_device_stats embedded in struct net_device, and the default ->get_stats() hook does the obvious thing for us. Run through drivers/net/* and remove the driver-local storage of statistics, and driver-local ->get_stats() hook where applicable. This was just the low-hanging fruit in drivers/net; plenty more drivers remain to be updated. 2007-07-09Extract chip specific code out of lasi_82596.cThomas Bogendoerfer1-0/+1434
Changes to last version: - use netdev_alloc_skb - make init_rx_bufs just fail and not panic, if skb alloc fails - don/t free_irq, if request_irq failed Thomas. Extracted chip specific code out of lasi_82596.c and placed into a lib82596.c to make it usable for other 82596 drivers Signed-off-by: Thomas Bogendoerfer <tsbogend@alpha.franken.de> Signed-off-by: Jeff Garzik <jeff@garzik.org>
