2014-01-16net: do not pretend FRAGLIST supportEric Dumazet1-1/+1
[ Upstream commit 28e24c62ab3062e965ef1b3bcc244d50aee7fa85 ] Few network drivers really supports frag_list : virtual drivers. Some drivers wrongly advertise NETIF_F_FRAGLIST feature. If skb with a frag_list is given to them, packet on the wire will be corrupt. Remove this flag, as core networking stack will make sure to provide packets that can be sent without corruption. Emitting netdev_alloc_skb and netdev_alloc_skb_ip_align OOM messages is unnecessary as there is already a dump_stack after allocation failures. Other trivial changes around these removals: Convert a few comparisons of pointer to 0 to !pointer. Change flow to remove unnecessary label. Remove now unused variable. Hoist assignment from if. 2013-01-11net: ethernet: xilinx: Do not use NO_IRQ in axienetMichal Simek1-1/+1
This driver is used on Microblaze and will be used on Arm Zynq. Microblaze doesn't define NO_IRQ and no IRQ is 0. Arm still uses NO_IRQ as -1 and there is no option to connect IRQ to irq 0. 2012-11-15drivers/net: fix tasklet misuse issueXiaotian Feng1-6/+6
In commit 175c0dff, drivers uses tasklet_kill to avoid put disabled tasklet on the tasklet vec. But some of the drivers uses tasklet_init & tasklet_disable in the driver init code, then tasklet_enable when it is opened. This makes tasklet_enable on a killed tasklet and make ksoftirqd crazy then. Normally, drivers should use tasklet_init/tasklet_kill on device open/remove, and use tasklet_disable/tasklet_enable on device suspend/resume. 2012-11-03drivers/net: use tasklet_kill in device remove/close processXiaotian Feng1-1/+1
Some driver uses tasklet_disable in device remove/close process, tasklet_disable will inc tasklet->count and return. If the tasklet is not handled yet because some softirq pressure, the tasklet will placed on the tasklet_vec, never have a chance to excute. This might lead to ksoftirqd heavy loaded, wakeup with pending_softirq, but tasklet is disabled. tasklet_kill should be used in this case.
