2025-07-24net: libwx: fix multicast packets received countJiawen Wu1-0/+2

The counter is not cleared on read. Fix the duplicate counting on updating statistics. 2025-07-24net: libwx: properly reset Rx ring descriptorJiawen Wu2-4/+8
commit d992ed7e1b687ad7df0763d3e015a5358646210b upstream. When device reset is triggered by feature changes such as toggling Rx VLAN offload, wx->do_reset() is called to reinitialize Rx rings. The hardware descriptor ring may retain stale values from previous sessions. And only set the length to 0 in rx_desc[0] would result in building malformed SKBs. 2025-07-24net: libwx: fix the using of Rx buffer DMAJiawen Wu2-3/+2
commit 5fd77cc6bd9b368431a815a780e407b7781bcca0 upstream. The wx_rx_buffer structure contained two DMA address fields: 'dma' and 'page_dma'. However, only 'page_dma' was actually initialized and used to program the Rx descriptor. But 'dma' was uninitialized and used in some paths. This could lead to undefined behavior, including DMA errors or use-after-free, if the uninitialized 'dma' was used. Althrough such error has not yet occurred, it is worth fixing in the code. 2025-07-17net: wangxun: revert the adjustment of the IRQ vector sequenceJiawen Wu2-9/+9
commit e37546ad1f9b2c777d3a21d7e50ce265ee3dece8 upstream. Due to hardware limitations of NGBE, queue IRQs can only be requested on vector 0 to 7. When the number of queues is set to the maximum 8, the PCI IRQ vectors are allocated from 0 to 8. The vector 0 is used by MISC interrupt, and althrough the vector 8 is used by queue interrupt, it is unable to receive packets. This will cause some packets to be dropped when RSS is enabled and they are assigned to queue 8. So revert the adjustment of the MISC IRQ location, to make it be the last one in IRQ vectors. 2025-07-10net: libwx: fix the incorrect display of the queue numberJiawen Wu1-0/+1
commit 5186ff7e1d0e26aaef998ba18b31c79c28d1441f upstream. When setting "ethtool -L eth0 combined 1", the number of RX/TX queue is changed to be 1. RSS is disabled at this moment, and the indices of FDIR have not be changed in wx_set_rss_queues(). So the combined count still shows the previous value. This issue was introduced when supporting FDIR. Fix it for those devices that support FDIR. 2025-01-17net: libwx: fix firmware mailbox abnormal returnJiawen Wu1-13/+11
[ Upstream commit 8ce4f287524c74a118b0af1eebd4b24a8efca57a ] The existing SW-FW interaction flow on the driver is wrong. Follow this wrong flow, driver would never return error if there is a unknown command. Since firmware writes back 'firmware ready' and 'unknown command' in the mailbox message if there is an unknown command sent by driver. So reading 'firmware ready' does not timeout. Then driver would mistakenly believe that the interaction has completed successfully. It tends to happen with the use of custom firmware. Move the check for 'unknown command' out of the poll timeout for 'firmware ready'. And adjust the debug log so that mailbox messages are always printed when commands timeout. When using MSI or INTx interrupts, request_irq() for pdev->irq will conflict with request_threaded_irq() for txgbe->misc.irq, to cause system crash. So remove txgbe_request_irq() for MSI/INTx case, and rename txgbe_request_msix_irqs() since it only request for queue irqs. Add wx->misc_irq_domain to determine whether the driver creates an IRQ domain and threaded request the IRQs. driver needs queue msix vectors and one misc irq vector, but only queue vectors need irq affinity. when num_online_cpus is less than chip max msix vectors, driver will acquire (num_online_cpus + 1) vecotrs, and call pci_alloc_irq_vectors_affinity functions with affinity params without setting pre_vectors or post_vectors, it will cause return error code -ENOSPC. Misc irq vector is vector 0, driver need to set affinity params .pre_vectors = 1. In the current interrupt controller, the MAC interrupt acts as the parent interrupt in the GPIO IRQ chip. But when the number of Rx/Tx ring changes, the PCI IRQ vector needs to be reallocated. 2023-07-19net: txgbe: change LAN reset modeJiawen Wu2-66/+0
The old way to do LAN reset is sending reset command to firmware. Once firmware performs reset, it reconfigures what it needs. In the new firmware versions, veto bit is introduced for NCSI/LLDP to block PHY domain in LAN reset. At this point, writing register of LAN reset directly makes the same effect as the old way. And it does not reset MNG domain, so that veto bit does not change. Since veto bit was never used, the old firmware is compatible with the driver before and after this change. The new firmware needs to use with the driver after this change if it wants to implement the new feature, otherwise it is the same as the old firmware. Implement ethtool_ops get_wol and set_wol. Implement Wake-on-LAN support. Wol requires hardware board support which use sub id to identify.
