2019-11-20mlxsw: spectrum: Init shaper for TCs 8..15Petr Machata1-0/+7
[ Upstream commit a9f36656b519a9a21309793c306941a3cd0eeb8f ] With introduction of MC-aware mode to mlxsw, it became necessary to configure TCs above 7 as well. There is now code in mlxsw to disable ETS for these higher classes, but disablement of max shaper was neglected. By default, max shaper is currently disabled to begin with, so the problem is just cosmetic. However, for symmetry, do like we do for ETS configuration, and call mlxsw_sp_port_ets_maxrate_set() for both TC i and i + 8. [ Upstream commit 289460404f6947ef1c38e67d680be9a84161250b ] The function-local variable "delay" enters the loop interpreted as delay in bits. However, inside the loop it gets overwritten by the result of mlxsw_sp_pg_buf_delay_get(), and thus leaves the loop as quantity in cells. Thus on second and further loop iterations, the headroom for a given priority is configured with a wrong size. Fix by introducing a loop-local variable, delay_cells. 2019-02-12mlxsw: spectrum: Properly cleanup LAG uppers when removing port from LAGIdo Schimmel1-0/+23
[ Upstream commit be2d6f421f680e01d58f7cd452646e0d8586d49b ] When a LAG device or a VLAN device on top of it is enslaved to a bridge, the driver propagates the CHANGEUPPER event to the LAG's slaves. This causes each physical port to increase the reference count of the internal representation of the bridge port by calling mlxsw_sp_port_bridge_join(). However, when a port is removed from a LAG, the corresponding leave() function is not called and the reference count is not decremented. This leads to ugly hacks such as mlxsw_sp_bridge_port_should_destroy() that try to understand if the bridge port should be destroyed even when its reference count is not 0. Instead, make sure that when a port is unlinked from a LAG it would see the same events as if the LAG (or its uppers) were unlinked from a bridge. The above is achieved by walking the LAG's uppers when a port is unlinked and calling mlxsw_sp_port_bridge_leave() for each upper that is enslaved to a bridge. 2019-01-09mlxsw: core: Increase timeout during firmware flash processShalom Toledo1-1/+6
[ Upstream commit cf0b70e71b32137ccf9c1f3dd9fb30cbf89b4322 ] During the firmware flash process, some of the EMADs get timed out, which causes the driver to send them again with a limit of 5 retries. There are some situations in which 5 retries is not enough and the EMAD access fails. If the failed EMAD was related to the flashing process, the driver fails the flashing. The reason for these timeouts during firmware flashing is cache misses in the CPU running the firmware. In case the CPU needs to fetch instructions from the flash when a firmware is flashed, it needs to wait for the flashing to complete. Since flashing takes time, it is possible for pending EMADs to timeout. Fix by increasing EMADs' timeout while flashing firmware. 2018-05-30spectrum: Reference count VLAN entriesIdo Schimmel1-1/+7
[ Upstream commit b3529af6bb0d4fe72defdd539712ceffaa054fb3 ] One of the basic construct in the device is a port-VLAN pair, which can be bound to a FID or a RIF in order to direct packets to the bridge or the router, respectively. Since not all the netdevs are configured with a VLAN (e.g., sw1p1 vs. sw1p1.10), VID 1 is used to represent these and thus this VID can be used by both upper devices of mlxsw ports and by the driver itself. However, this VID is not reference counted and therefore might be freed prematurely, which can result in various WARNINGs. For example: $ ip link add name br0 type bridge vlan_filtering 1 $ teamd -t team0 -d -c '{"runner": {"name": "lacp"}}' $ ip link set dev team0 master br0 $ ip link set dev enp1s0np1 master team0 $ ip address add 192.0.2.1/24 dev enp1s0np1 The enslavement to team0 will fail because team0 already has an upper and thus vlan_vids_del_by_dev() will be executed as part of team's error path which will delete VID 1 from enp1s0np1 (added by br0 as PVID). The WARNING will be generated when the driver will realize it can't find VID 1 on the port and bind it to a RIF. Fix this by adding a reference count to the VLAN entries on the port, in a similar fashion to the reference counting used by the corresponding 'vlan_vid_info' structure in the 8021q driver. [ Upstream commit 90045fc9c78855bdc625a0ab185d97b72a937613 ] Since commit 25cc72a33835 ("mlxsw: spectrum: Forbid linking to devices that have uppers") the driver forbids enslavement to netdevs that already have uppers of their own, as this can result in various ordering problems. This requirement proved to be too strict for some users who need to be able to enslave ports to a bridge that already has uppers. In this case, we can allow the enslavement if the bridge is already known to us, as any configuration performed on top of the bridge was already reflected to the device. 2017-09-13mlxsw: spectrum: Prevent mirred-related crash on removalYuval Mintz1-10/+9
When removing the offloading of mirred actions under matchall classifiers, mlxsw would find the destination port associated with the offloaded action and utilize it for undoing the configuration. Depending on the order by which ports are removed, it's possible that the destination port would get removed before the source port. In such a scenario, when actions would be flushed for the source port mlxsw would perform an illegal dereference as the destination port is no longer listed. Since the only item necessary for undoing the configuration on the destination side is the port-id and that in turn is already maintained by mlxsw on the source-port, simply stop trying to access the destination port and use the port-id directly instead. 2017-09-01mlxsw: spectrum: Forbid linking to devices that have uppersIdo Schimmel1-0/+6
The mlxsw driver relies on NETDEV_CHANGEUPPER events to configure the device in case a port is enslaved to a master netdev such as bridge or bond. Since the driver ignores events unrelated to its ports and their uppers, it's possible to engineer situations in which the device's data path differs from the kernel's. One example to such a situation is when a port is enslaved to a bond that is already enslaved to a bridge. When the bond was enslaved the driver ignored the event - as the bond wasn't one of its uppers - and therefore a bridge port instance isn't created in the device. Until such configurations are supported forbid them by checking that the upper device doesn't have uppers of its own. 2017-06-08mlxsw: spectrum: Pass port argument to module mapping functionsIdo Schimmel1-8/+9
Previous patch made it unnecessary to map ports to modules before we allocate their struct. We can now therefore pass the port struct to these functions, thereby making them consistent with other functions that operate on ports. 2017-06-08mlxsw: spectrum: Simplify port split flowIdo Schimmel1-75/+28
In commit be94535f9531 ("mlxsw: spectrum: Make split flow match firmware requirements") we had to modify the port split flow to overcome quirks in the device's firmware. This resulted in asymmetrical code with regards to port creation and removal. The problem in the firmware is long gone and since we can now enforce a minimal firmware version, we can simplify the code and make it symmetric again. 2017-06-08net: propagate tc filter chain index down the ndo_setup_tc callJiri Pirko1-1/+5
We need to push the chain index down to the drivers, so they have the information to which chain the rule belongs. For now, no driver supports multichain offload, so only chain 0 is supported. This is needed to prevent chain squashes during offload for now. Later this will be used to implement multichain offload. Signed-off-by: Jiri Pirko <jiri@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2017-06-01mlxsw: spectrum: Implement the ethtool flash_device callbackYotam Gigi1-9/+42
Add callback to the ethtool flash_device op. This callback uses the mlxfw module to flash the new firmware file to the device. As the firmware flash process takes about 20 seconds and ethtool takes the rtnl lock during the flash_device callback, release the rtnl lock at the beginning of the flash process and take it again before leaving the callback. This way, the rtnl is not held during the process. To make sure the device does not get deleted during the flash process, take a reference to it before releasing the rtnl lock. 2017-05-26mlxsw: spectrum: Implement common FID coreIdo Schimmel1-171/+21
The device supports three types of FIDs. 802.1Q and 802.1D FIDs for VLAN-aware and VLAN-unaware bridges (respectively) and rFIDs to transport packets to the router block. The different users (e.g., bridge, router, ACLs) of the FIDs infrastructure need not know about the internal FIDs implementation and can therefore interact with it using a restricted set of exported functions. By encapsulating the entire FID logic and hiding it from the rest of the driver we get a code base that it much simpler and easier to work with and extend. For example, in the current Spectrum ASIC only 802.1D FIDs can be assigned a VNI, but future ASICs will also support 802.1Q FIDs. With this patch in place, support for future ASICs can be easily added by implementing a new FID operations according to their capabilities. 2017-05-26mlxsw: spectrum: Replace vPorts with Port-VLANIdo Schimmel1-661/+114
As explained in the cover letter, since the introduction of the bridge offload in the mlxsw driver, information related to the offloaded bridge and bridge ports was stored in the individual port struct, mlxsw_sp_port. This lead to a bloated struct storing both physical properties of the port (e.g., autoneg status) as well as logical properties of an upper bridge port (e.g., learning, mrouter indication). While this might work well for simple devices, it proved to be hard to extend when stacked devices were taken into account and more advanced use-cases (e.g., IGMP snooping) considered. This patch removes the excess information from the above struct and instead stores it in more appropriate structs that represent the bridge port, the bridge itself and a VLAN configured on the bridge port. The membership of a port in a bridge is denoted using the Port-VLAN struct, which points to the bridge port and also member in the bridge VLAN group of the VLAN it represents. This allows us to completely remove the vPort abstraction and consolidate many of the code paths relating to VLAN-aware and unaware bridges. Note that the FID / vFID code is currently duplicated, but this will soon go away when the common FID core will be introduced. 2017-05-26mlxsw: spectrum: Don't create FIDs upon creation of VLAN uppersIdo Schimmel1-94/+1
Up until now we used to create FIDs upon the creation of VLAN uppers on top of the VLAN-aware bridge. This was done so that in case a router interface (RIF) was configured on top of the bridge, the FID would already be there. Instead, simplify the code and only create the FID upon RIF creation. This is an intermediary step towards the introduction of the common FID core, in which this code would be completely removed. 2017-05-26mlxsw: spectrum: Don't lose bridge port device during enslavementIdo Schimmel1-23/+44
Currently, when port netdevs (or their uppers) are enslaved to a bridge, we simply propagate the CHANGEUPPER event all the way down and lose the context of the actual netdevice used as the bridge port. This leads to a lot of information hanging off the ports (and vPorts), which doesn't logically belong there, such as mrouter indication and unknown unicast flood state. Following patches are going to put the mlxsw_sp_port struct on diet and instead introduce a bridge port struct, where the above mentioned information belongs. But in order to do that, we need to be able to determine the bridge port netdevice, so propagate it down.
