identifier Replace unversioned GPL boilerplate notice with corresponding SPDX license identifier, which is GPL 1.0+. 2021-11-19lasi_82594: use eth_hw_addr_set()Jakub Kicinski1-2/+4
dev_addr is set from IO reads, passed to an arch-specific helper. Note that the helper never reads it so uninitialized temp is fine. Fixes build on parisc. Signed-off-by: Jakub Kicinski <kuba@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2021-08-30parisc: Make struct parisc_driver::remove() return voidUwe Kleine-König1-2/+1
The caller of this function (parisc_driver_remove() in arch/parisc/kernel/drivers.c) ignores the return value, so better don't return any value at all to not wake wrong expectations in driver authors. The only function that could return a non-zero value before was ipmi_parisc_remove() which returns the return value of ipmi_si_remove_by_dev(). Make this function return void, too, as for all other callers the value is ignored, too. Also fold in a small checkpatch fix for: WARNING: Unnecessary space before function pointer arguments + void (*remove) (struct parisc_device *dev); Acked-by: Dmitry Torokhov <dmitry.torokhov@gmail.com> (for drivers/input) Signed-off-by: Uwe Kleine-König <u.kleine-koenig@pengutronix.de> Acked-by: Sudip Mukherjee <sudipm.mukherjee@gmail.com> Acked-by: Jiri Slaby <jirislaby@kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Helge Deller <deller@gmx.de>
2020-09-25lib82596: convert to dma_alloc_noncoherentChristoph Hellwig1-16/+9
Use the new non-coherent DMA API including proper ownership transfers. This includes moving the DMA helpers to lib82596 based of an ifdef to avoid include order problems. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Tested-by: Thomas Bogendoerfer <tsbogend@alpha.franken.de> (SNI part)
2020-09-25lib82596: move DMA allocation into the callers of i82596_probeChristoph Hellwig1-8/+16
This allows us to get rid of the LIB82596_DMA_ATTR defined and prepare for untangling the coherent vs non-coherent DMA allocation API. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Tested-by: Thomas Bogendoerfer <tsbogend@alpha.franken.de> (SNI part)
2019-10-16net: i82596: fix dma_alloc_attr for sni_82596Thomas Bogendoerfer1-1/+3
Commit 7f683b920479 ("i825xx: switch to switch to dma_alloc_attrs") switched dma allocation over to dma_alloc_attr, but didn't convert the SNI part to request consistent DMA memory. This broke sni_82596 since driver doesn't do dma_cache_sync for performance reasons. Fix this by using different DMA_ATTRs for lasi_82596 and sni_82596. 2017-08-29i825xx: switch to switch to dma_alloc_attrsChristoph Hellwig1-4/+2
This way we can always pass DMA_ATTR_NON_CONSISTENT, the SNI mips version will simply ignore the flag. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Acked-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2014-01-16drivers/net: delete non-required instances of include <linux/init.h>Paul Gortmaker1-1/+0
None of these files are actually using any __init type directives and hence don't need to include <linux/init.h>. Most are just a left over from __devinit and __cpuinit removal, or simply due to code getting copied from one driver to the next. This covers everything under drivers/net except for wireless, which has been submitted separately. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
2012-12-03i825xx: remove __dev* attributesBill Pemberton1-4/+4
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. Signed-off-by: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2011-08-11i825xx: Move the Intel 82586/82593/82596 based driversJeff Kirsher1-0/+238
Move the drivers that use the i82586/i82593/i82596 chipsets into drivers/net/ethernet/i825xx/ and make the necessary Kconfig and Makefile changes. There were 4 3Com drivers which were initially moved into 3com/, which now reside in i825xx since they all used the i82586 chip.
