2013-01-22drivers/net: delete old DEC depca ISA drivers support.Paul Gortmaker1-1910/+0
These are old ISA 10Mbit cards from the 1st 1/2 of the 1990s and required manual jumper settings in order to configure them. Here we remove them on the premise that they are no longer used in any modern 3.9+ kernels. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2012-12-03net/amd: remove __dev* attributesBill Pemberton1-5/+5
CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As result the __dev* markings will be going away. Remove use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata, __devinitconst, and __devexit. Signed-off-by: Bill Pemberton <wfp5p@virginia.edu> Signed-off-by: Greg Kroah-Hartman <gregkh@linuxfoundation.org>
2012-05-18drivers/net: delete all code/drivers depending on CONFIG_MCAPaul Gortmaker1-206/+4
The support for CONFIG_MCA is being removed, since the 20 year old hardware simply isn't capable of meeting today's software demands on CPU and memory resources. This commit removes any MCA specific net drivers, and removes any MCA specific probe/support code from drivers that were doing a dual ISA/MCA role. Cc: "David S. 2012-05-11drivers/net: Convert compare_ether_addr to ether_addr_equalJoe Perches1-1/+2
Use the new bool function ether_addr_equal to add some clarity and reduce the likelihood for misuse of compare_ether_addr for sorting. Done via cocci script: $ cat compare_ether_addr.cocci @@ expression a,b; @@ - !compare_ether_addr(a, b) + ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - compare_ether_addr(a, b) + !ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - !ether_addr_equal(a, b) == 0 + ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - !ether_addr_equal(a, b) != 0 + !ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - ether_addr_equal(a, b) == 0 + !ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - ether_addr_equal(a, b) != 0 + ether_addr_equal(a, b) @@ expression a,b; @@ - !!ether_addr_equal(a, b) + ether_addr_equal(a, b) Signed-off-by: Joe Perches <joe@perches.com> Signed-off-by: David S. 2012-02-06netdev: ethernet dev_alloc_skb to netdev_alloc_skbPradeep A Dalvi1-1/+1
Replaced deprecating dev_alloc_skb with netdev_alloc_skb in drivers/net/ethernet - Removed extra skb->dev = dev after netdev_alloc_skb Signed-off-by: Pradeep A Dalvi <netdev@pradeepdalvi.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

2011-08-11amd: Move AMD (Lance) chipset driversJeff Kirsher1-0/+2111
Moves the drivers for the AMD chipsets into drivers/net/ethernet/amd/ and the necessary Kconfig and Makfile changes. The au1000 (Alchemy) driver was also moved into the same directory even though it is not a "Lance" driver.
