2018-02-16mtd: nand: move raw NAND related code to the raw/ subdirBoris Brezillon1-202/+0
As part of the process of sharing more code between different NAND based devices, we need to move all raw NAND related code to the raw/ subdirectory. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@bootlin.com>
2017-08-13mtd: nand: Rename nand.h into rawnand.hBoris Brezillon1-1/+1
We are planning to share more code between different NAND based devices (SPI NAND, OneNAND and raw NANDs), but before doing that we need to move the existing include/linux/mtd/nand.h file into include/linux/mtd/rawnand.h so we can later create a nand.h header containing all common structure and function prototypes. 2016-05-06mtd: nand: sm_common: switch to mtd_ooblayout_opsBoris Brezillon1-16/+77
Implementing the mtd_ooblayout_ops interface is the new way of exposing ECC/OOB layout to MTD users. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com>
2015-12-08mtd: nand: make use of mtd_to_nand() in NAND driversBoris BREZILLON1-1/+1
mtd_to_nand() was recently introduced to avoid direct accesses to the mtd->priv field. Update all NAND drivers to use it. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2013-08-30mtd: nand: refactor chip->block_markbad interfaceBrian Norris1-5/+4
The chip->block_markbad pointer should really only be responsible for writing a bad block marker for new bad blocks. It should not take care of BBT-related functionality, nor should it handle bookkeeping of bad block stats. This patch refactors the 3 users of the block_markbad interface (plus the default nand_base implementation) so that the common code is kept in nand_block_markbad_lowlevel(). It removes some inconsistencies between the various implementations and should allow for more centralized improvements in the future. Because gpmi-nand no longer needs the nand_update_bbt() function, let's stop exporting it as well. 2013-04-05mtd: nand_ids: use size macrosArtem Bityutskiy1-25/+26
Use the convenient 'SZ_8K' and 'SZ_16K' macros for the eraseblock size in the NAND IDs table. This is a little more readable. Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2013-04-05mtd: nand_ids: improve LEGACY_ID_NAND macro a bitArtem Bityutskiy1-25/+25
Notice that all the flashes belonging to the "legacy ID" class have 512 bytes NAND page. This means we may simplify the 'LEGACY_ID_NAND()' macro as well as the NAND ID table a little. 2013-04-05mtd: nand_ids: introduce helper macrosArtem Bityutskiy1-29/+27
Introduce helper macros for defining NAND chips. These macros do not really add much value in the current code-base. However, we are going to add full ID support which adds some more complexity to the table, and helper macros become useful for readability. 2013-04-05mtd: nand: remove few tiny page NAND bitsArtem Bityutskiy1-5/+0
NAND flashes with 256 bytes NAND pages are so old that probably do not exist any more. Let's remove few related pieces of code and forget about them forever. The assumption will be that 512 bytes NAND page size is the minimum possible. 2011-11-01mtd: Add module.h to drivers users that were implicitly using it.Paul Gortmaker1-0/+1
We are cleaning up the implicit presence of module.h that these drivers are taking advantage of. Fix them in advance of the cleanup operation. Signed-off-by: Paul Gortmaker <paul.gortmaker@windriver.com>
2011-09-11mtd: rename MTD_OOB_* to MTD_OPS_*Brian Norris1-1/+1
These modes are not necessarily for OOB only. Particularly, MTD_OOB_RAW affected operations on in-band page data as well. To clarify these options and to emphasize that their effect is applied per-operation, we change the primary prefix to MTD_OPS_.
