2020-06-22mtd: rawnand: plat_nand: Fix the probe error pathMiquel Raynal1-1/+1
commit 5284024b4dac5e94f7f374ca905c7580dbc455e9 upstream. nand_release() is supposed be called after MTD device registration. Here, only nand_scan() happened, so use nand_cleanup() instead. There is no real Fixes tag applying here as the use of nand_release() in this driver predates by far the introduction of nand_cleanup() in commit d44154f969a4 ("mtd: nand: Provide nand_cleanup() function to free NAND related resources") which makes this change possible, hence pointing it as the commit to fix for backporting purposes, even if this commit is not introducing any bug. 2018-12-07mtd: rawnand: Deprecate the ->select_chip() hookBoris Brezillon1-1/+1
Now that the CS line to be selected is passed to ->exec_op() and stored in chip->cur_cs and after patching all drivers implementing ->exec_op() to stop implementing this method, we can deprecate it by moving it to the nand_legacy structure. We regularly have new NAND controller drivers that are making use of fields/hooks that we want to get rid of but can't because of all the legacy drivers that we might break if we do. So, instead of removing those fields/hooks, let's move them to a sub-struct which is clearly documented as deprecated. We start with the ->IO_ADDR_{R,W] fields. In order to do that, we first need to update the platform_nand_ctrl hooks to take a nand_chip object instead of an mtd_info. We add temporary plat_nand_xxx() wrappers to the do the mtd -> chip conversion, but those will be dropped when patching nand_chip hooks to take a nand_chip object.
