From Boris: " This pull request contains the following core changes: * Fix memory leaks in the core * Remove unused NAND locking support * Rename nand.h into rawnand.h (preparing support for spi NANDs) * Use NAND_MAX_ID_LEN where appropriate * Fix support for 20nm Hynix chips * Fix support for Samsung and Hynix SLC NANDs and the following driver changes: * Various cleanup, improvements and fixes in the qcom driver * Fixes for bugs detected by various static code analysis tools * Fix mxc ooblayout definition * Add a new part_parsers to tmio and sharpsl platform data in order to define a custom list of partition parsers * Request the reset line in exclusive mode in the sunxi driver * Fix a build error in the orion-nand driver when compiled for ARMv4 * Allow 64-bit mvebu platforms to select the PXA3XX driver "
2017-08-13mtd: nand: Rename nand.h into rawnand.hBoris Brezillon1-1/+1
We are planning to share more code between different NAND based devices (SPI NAND, OneNAND and raw NANDs), but before doing that we need to move the existing include/linux/mtd/nand.h file into include/linux/mtd/rawnand.h so we can later create a nand.h header containing all common structure and function prototypes. 2017-08-02mtd: nand: Declare tBERS, tR and tPROG as u64 to avoid integer overflowBoris Brezillon1-3/+3
All timings in nand_sdr_timings are expressed in picoseconds but some of them may not fit in an u32. 2016-11-07mtd: nand: Add a few more timings to nand_sdr_timingsBoris Brezillon1-1/+25
Add the tR_max, tBERS_max, tPROG_max and tCCS_min timings to the nand_sdr_timings struct. Assign default/safe values for the statically defined timings, and extract them from the ONFI parameter table if the NAND is ONFI compliant. 2016-09-23mtd: nand: Expose data interface for ONFI mode 0Sascha Hauer1-0/+11
The nand layer will need ONFI mode 0 to use it as timing mode before and right after reset. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com>
2016-09-23mtd: nand: Add function to convert ONFI mode to data_interfaceSascha Hauer1-0/+29
onfi_init_data_interface() initializes a data interface with values from a given ONFI mode. Signed-off-by: Sascha Hauer <s.hauer@pengutronix.de> Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com>
2016-09-23mtd: nand: convert ONFI mode into data interfaceSascha Hauer1-206/+224
struct nand_data_interface is the designated type to pass to the NAND drivers to configure the timing. To simplify further patches convert the onfi_sdr_timings array from type struct nand_sdr_timings nand_data_interface. 2016-09-23mtd: nand: timings: Reorder tRR_min def in mode 0Boris Brezillon1-1/+1
In the ONFI spec, the tRR_min entry is defined before the tRST_max one. Reoder the definition to make it easier to review. Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com>
2016-09-23mtd: nand: timings: Fix tADL_min for ONFI 4.0 chipsBoris Brezillon1-6/+6
ONFI 4.0 spec defines different values for the tADL_min timing. Since we don't want to have different timings depending on the ONFI version, we just set tADL_min to the maximum value (the one specified in the ONFI 4.0 spec). Signed-off-by: Boris Brezillon <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com>
2014-08-19mtd: nand: Use ULL-suffix for big u64 constantGeert Uytterhoeven1-1/+1
drivers/mtd/nand/nand_timings.c:45: warning: integer constant is too large for ‘long’ type [ Editorial note: This is a false warning. Looking at ISO draft N1124 (this is approximately C11, the first PDF I had lying around), section 6.4.4.1 (statement 5): "The type of an integer constant is the first of the corresponding list in which its value can be represented." So this should not be an overflow, and any toolchain that says so (e.g., GCC 4.4) is buggy. -Brian ] Signed-off-by: Geert Uytterhoeven <geert@linux-m68k.org> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
2014-07-22mtd: nand: add ONFI timing mode to nand_timings converterBoris BREZILLON1-0/+253
Add a converter to retrieve NAND timings from an ONFI NAND timing mode. At the moment, only SDR NAND timings are supported. Signed-off-by: Boris BREZILLON <boris.brezillon@free-electrons.com> Signed-off-by: Brian Norris <computersforpeace@gmail.com>
