2013-04-05mtd: maps: add const qualifiersArtem Bityutskiy1-2/+1
Be a bit stricter and add few more 'const' qualifiers. Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>
2013-01-26mtd: Convert to devm_ioremap_resource()Thierry Reding1-4/+4
Convert all uses of devm_request_and_ioremap() to the newly introduced devm_ioremap_resource() which provides more consistent error handling. devm_ioremap_resource() provides its own error messages so all explicit error messages can be removed from the failure code paths. 2012-05-21MTD: MIPS: lantiq: verify that the NOR interface is available on falcon socJohn Crispin1-0/+7
When running on a FALC-ON SoC, we need to check the bootstrap options to see if NOR is available. 2012-03-27mtd: do not use plain 0 as NULLArtem Bityutskiy1-2/+3
The first 3 arguments of 'mtd_device_parse_register()' are pointers, but many callers pass '0' instead of 'NULL'. Fix this globally. Thanks to coccinelle for making it easy to do with the following semantic patch: @@ expression mtd, types, parser_data, parts, nr_parts; @@ ( -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, 0, parser_data, parts, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, NULL, parser_data, parts, nr_parts) | -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, 0, parts, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, NULL, parts, nr_parts) | -mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, parser_data, 0, nr_parts) +mtd_device_parse_register(mtd, types, parser_data, NULL, nr_parts) ) Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@linux.intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>

Since commit ca97dec2ab5c87e9fbdf7e882e1820004a3966fa the command line parsing of MTD partitions does not work anymore. 2012-01-09mtd: lantiq-flash: drop iounmap for devm_ allocated dataJulia Lawall1-5/+1
Data allocated with devm_ioremap or devm_ioremap_nocache should not be freed using iounmap, because doing so causes a dangling pointer, and a subsequent double free. The semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r@ expression x; @@ ( x = devm_ioremap(...) | x = devm_ioremap_nocache(...) ) @@ expression r.x; @@ * iounmap(x) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Artem Bityutskiy <artem.bityutskiy@intel.com> Signed-off-by: David Woodhouse <David.Woodhouse@intel.com>

2011-10-20MIPS: Lantiq: Fix MTD registration of NOR deviceJohn Crispin1-2/+2

2011-09-11mtd: lantiq-flash.c: use mtd_device_parse_registerDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-12/+2
Replace custom invocations of parse_mtd_partitions and mtd_device_register with common mtd_device_parse_register call. 2011-09-11mtd: lantiq-flash don't specify default parsing optionsDmitry Eremin-Solenikov1-4/+1
Since 'cmdline, NULL' is now a default for parse_mtd_partitions, don't specify this in every driver, instead pass NULL to force parse_mtd_partitions to use default.
