2025-03-13Revert "drivers/card_reader/rtsx_usb: Restore interrupt based detection"Christian Heusel1-15/+0
commit 2397d61ee45cddb8f3bd3a3a9840ef0f0b5aa843 upstream. This reverts commit 235b630eda072d7e7b102ab346d6b8a2c028a772. This commit was found responsible for issues with SD card recognition, as users had to re-insert their cards in the readers and wait for a while. As for some people the SD card was involved in the boot process it also caused boot failures. commit 235b630eda072d7e7b102ab346d6b8a2c028a772 upstream. This commit reintroduces interrupt-based card detection previously used in the rts5139 driver. This functionality was removed in commit 00d8521dcd23 ("staging: remove rts5139 driver code"). Reintroducing this mechanism fixes presence detection for certain card readers, which with the current driver, will taken approximately 20 seconds to enter S3 as `mmc_rescan` has to be frozen. [ Upstream commit f861d36e021e1ac4a0a2a1f6411d623809975d63 ] rtsx_usb_probe() doesn't call usb_set_intfdata() to null out the interface pointer when probe fails. This leaves a stale pointer. commit 281e468446994a7672733af2bf941f4110d4a895 upstream. This patch fixes a trivial mistake that I made in the previous attempt in fixing the null bridge issue. The branch condition is inverted and we should call alcor_pci_find_cap_offset() only if bridge is not null. 2021-07-20misc: alcor_pci: fix null-ptr-deref when there is no PCI bridgeTong Zhang1-1/+7
[ Upstream commit 3ce3e45cc333da707d4d6eb433574b990bcc26f5 ] There is an issue with the ASPM(optional) capability checking function. A device might be attached to root complex directly, in this case, bus->self(bridge) will be NULL, thus priv->parent_pdev is NULL. Since alcor_pci_init_check_aspm(priv->parent_pdev) checks the PCI link's ASPM capability and populate parent_cap_off, which will be used later by alcor_pci_aspm_ctrl() to dynamically turn on/off device, what we can do here is to avoid checking the capability if we are on the root complex. This will make pdev_cap_off 0 and alcor_pci_aspm_ctrl() will simply return when bring called, effectively disable ASPM for the device. commit 7a839dbab1be59f5ed3b3b046de29e166784c9b4 upstream. DMA transfers to and from the SD card stall for 10 seconds and run into timeout on RTS5260 card readers after ASPM was enabled. Adding a short msleep after disabling ASPM fixes the issue on several Dell Precision 7530/7540 systems I tested. This function is only called when waking up after the chip went into power-save after not transferring data for a few seconds. The added msleep does therefore not change anything in data transfer speed or induce any excessive waiting while data transfers are running, or the chip is sleeping. Only the transition from sleep to active is affected. 2017-11-29misc: rtsx: Add support for RTS5260Rui Feng6-3/+927
Add support for new chip rts5260. In order to support rts5260, the definitions of some internal registers and workflow have to be modified and are different from its predecessors and OCP function is added for RTS5260. So we need this patch to ensure RTS5260 can work. 2017-11-29misc: rtsx: Move Realtek Card Reader Driver to miscRui Feng10-0/+4659
Because Realtek card reader drivers are pcie and usb drivers, and they bridge mmc subsystem and memstick subsystem, they are not mfd drivers. Greg and Lee Jones had a discussion about where to put the drivers, the result is that misc is a good place for them, so I move all files to misc. If I don't move them to a right place, I can't add any patch for this driver.
