2008-12-30V4L/DVB (9967): cs5345: convert to v4l2_subdev and fix broken s_ctrl.Hans Verkuil1-89/+138
Converted to v4l2_subdev. While doing that I also discovered a stray 'break' that broke the S_CTRL handling. Fixed that as well. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hverkuil@xs4all.nl> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
2008-08-01Remove newline from the description of module parametersNiels de Vos1-1/+1
Some module parameters with only one line have the '\n' at the end of the description. This is not needed nor wanted as after the description the type (i.e. int) is followed by a newline. Some modules contain a multi-line description, these are not affected by this patch. 2008-05-18i2c: Convert remaining new-style drivers to use module aliasingJean Delvare1-0/+7
Update all the remaining new-style i2c drivers to use standard module aliasing instead of the old driver_name/type driver matching scheme. Note that the tuner driver is a bit quirky at the moment, as it overwrites i2c_client.name with arbitrary strings. We write "tuner" back on remove, to make sure that driver cycling will work properly, but there may still be troublesome corner cases. Signed-off-by: Jean Delvare <khali@linux-fr.org>
2008-04-30i2c: Add support for device alias namesJean Delvare1-1/+2
Based on earlier work by Jon Smirl and Jochen Friedrich. This patch allows new-style i2c chip drivers to have alias names using the official kernel aliasing system and MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE(). At this point, the old i2c driver binding scheme (driver_name/type) is still supported.
