2020-01-04media: pvrusb2: Fix oops on tear-down when radio support is not presentMike Isely1-2/+7
[ Upstream commit 7f404ae9cf2a285f73b3c18ab9303d54b7a3d8e1 ] In some device configurations there's no radio or radio support in the driver. That's OK, as the driver sets itself up accordingly. However on tear-down in these caes it's still trying to tear down radio related context when there isn't anything there, leading to dereferences through a null pointer and chaos follows. How this bug survived unfixed for 11 years in the pvrusb2 driver is a mystery to me. 2015-03-02[media] pvrusb2: use struct v4l2_fhHans Verkuil1-68/+13
By using struct v4l2_fh both the prio handling and the linked list implementation in pvrusb2 can be removed since both are now done in the v4l2 core if you use struct v4l2_fh. As far as I can tell pvrusb2 does its own locking, so there is no need to use .ioctl. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>

2015-01-22[media] pvrusb2: fix missing device_caps in querycapHans Verkuil1-11/+13
The VIDIOC_QUERYCAP function should set device_caps, but this was missing. In addition, it set the version field as well, but that should be done by the core, not by the driver. If a driver doesn't set device_caps the v4l2 core will issue a WARN_ON, so it's important that this is set correctly. 2014-07-18[media] media: pvrusb2: make logging code saneAndrey Utkin1-9/+3
The issue was discovered by static analysis. It turns out that code is somewhat insane, being if (x) {...} else { if (x) {...} } Edited it to do the only reasonable thing, which is to log the information about the failed call. The most descriptive logging commands set is taken from original code. 2013-03-24[media] v4l2: pass std by value to the write-only s_std ioctlHans Verkuil1-2/+2
This ioctl is defined as IOW, so pass the argument by value instead of by reference. I could have chosen to add const instead, but this is 1) easier to handle in drivers and 2) consistent with the s_std subdev operation. 2012-12-28[media] pvrusb2: Replace memcpy with struct assignmentEzequiel Garcia1-1/+1
This kind of memcpy() is error-prone. Its replacement with a struct assignment is prefered because it's type-safe and much easier to read. Found by coccinelle. Hand patched and reviewed. Tested by compilation only. A simplified version of the semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @@ identifier struct_name; struct struct_name to; struct struct_name from; expression E; @@ -memcpy(&(to), &(from), E); +to = from; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Peter Senna Tschudin <peter.senna@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Ezequiel Garcia <elezegarcia@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@redhat.com>
